I hate to be the one to point this out as there seem to be so many happy commenters, but a lava cake is a cake where it is baked so the interior is still viscous and is always served warm. These are filled cupcakes. That having been said, they look very pretty and delicious.

I just made this recipe and IT IS SOOOO GOOD!! Not too sweet and the cake was so fluffy. The only thing I omitted was the whipped cream since I didn't have any, but it still tasted delicious!! Will definitely make this recipe again for the holidays to give out!
@@athiyyanabila9695 Nope, I didn’t! The custard without the whipped cream is already quite thick. When you add the whipped cream, it actually makes the custard lighter. Hope this helped!
I'm very picky about sweets, especially homemade. But this recipe is absolutely fantastic. Strongly recommended to try, it won't disappoint you. If you use paper baking cups instead of carton, it will work too. Just won't be so tall and neat.

I’m guessing he doubled or tripled the recipe, because I made exactly the recipe he gave and I only filled up 4 paper molds. So definitely recommend doubling the recipe if you want more then 4👍

Yummy 😋 LOVE these kinds of lave cakes! This is delicious and especially not too sweet, which I like. I am also going to try chocolate using Baker's Simi Sweet Chocolate. I hope you don't mind a few suggestions. I like to help sometimes and pass on my ideas. I am a baker and like to find/try new things. For the cake part, use pure chocolate flavoring and maybe 1-2 melted small squares from the bar, not big squares. Then, use a few melted small squares for the filling and a few drops of flavoring. Another is fruit flavors, and one of my favorites is strawberries. Same idea use pure flavorings and use preferably homemade preserves or store preserves. Also, use a little less sugar on these since they are already sweet. Any flavors can be used following her recipe style. Just play around with it. Thank you for sharing ❤️ ⚘️🌻🪷🌹

Did you bake it for 50mins then 15mins like the recipe says? Seems like a very long baking time for such small cakes. Wouldn't the cakes be very dry?
@@bobbyc1302 yes I did follow the baking times as per video. It didn't burn at all, probably because the temperature is low and the cake cooks slowly.
Can I ask you about the smell of the egg is there any ? Cuz I’m very sensitive to egg smell
