@@MrWesQ I’m about to swap into mine tonight. After giving it another once over, I think the lack of shoulder MOLLE will make the straps a little more comfortable and break in faster. I do like the MOLLE on the straps personally, but I always test bags with non destructive mods first. So time will tell if I send mine in as well. Keep me posted on how long it takes to get your bag back. I would like to k ow the tournament around time.
@@jeffgrantMEDIA that’s so true. It’s funny how they would never post the heritage weight because they know it would scare some folks. These days I am more pro light weight. Cheers from CANADA 🇨🇦 Keep up the great work.
I bought the black gr1 slick a couple of weeks ago. To be honest I found the straps just didn't sit properlyom the shoulder and OI had to keep tension on my shoulder and neck when I was one shouldering the bag. For me maybe there is just too much padding in those straps. Maybe I needed to give it time to break in?
@@welshrecon have you had a normal GR1 with MOLLE? Those straps are thick! I don’t think the foam is any thicker, but the added webbing makes them much stiffer and feel thicker. I found the slick GR1 with the 210d backing incredibly comfortable right out of the gate. But everyone’s body is different. And I can totally see the bag not working well for everyone.
Nice, thanks for the vid. Just picked up a standard GR1 26l. First Goruck, really looking forward to its arrival.
@@sham86ful at great! GR bags are awesome! I’ve been rocking them for a few years now. You’ll dig your pack!
I got mine last week! Had it for less than a day before sending it to SCARS to add shoulder strap MOLLE.

My 26L slick arrived yesterday yet I am on vacation....lol But one thing I did remember from the old slick is that they were a bit lighter.
@@skipper4114 do you happen to have a 26l GR1 with MOLLE you can weigh? I would like to include that stat in the full review if possible.
@@jeffgrantMEDIA unfortunately I don’t. I just have a 26L heritage. The Goruck website should have the specs for the reg 26L with Molle.
@@skipper4114 the site specs are always off a bit. I’m sure I can get someone to weigh it over in Carryology or TPP
