I spent a decade coveting a GR1, waiting to see if I could get a good deal... in 2020 I got one, hated it, sold it within weeks... and now I'm dreaming of owning one again 😅
@@Jedwoods I’ve done this with so many bags! Monitor the Carryology and The Perfect Pack FB groups. You can find them for a great deal on occasion. Don’t pass on a good deal on a Rucker 3.0 either. They don’t have the laptop sleeve, but are amazing packs and work well for edc.
I have the original gr1 21 liter huckleberry slick, I like the idea of the quick access pocket but just don't like the orange lining I understand it's for visibility but I'd prefer a gray. I saw some have the grey, but it's just not on the black.
@@ghostmonkey0432 I personally like red as my high vis liner. But I think this bag would be best suited with grey or black, as its murders out to fit into a lot of environments a GR1 might not normally work in. I think just the American flag bag on the GR site had a black pocket. I think this carry’s over form the GR x Carryology bags. They were the first “production” bags to have the QA pocket so of course they were Carryology orange.
@@jeffgrantMEDIA exactly the orange pops too much and it contradicts the gray man aesthetic of the bag. But it makes sense that these are carried over, and red would definitely be something new kinda like what they do with the samurai goruck.
@@ghostmonkey0432 I'm really happy they finally brought the QA pocket over. It took a few years for GR to finally do that. But I do agree the slicks should have a black or grey pocket. That would really go with the slick aesthetic. And a point I am going to mention in my review of this GR1 slick (next week).
Great video! I just received the same 26L Slick. The new pocket and back panel make it so much better for daily use.
@@Kdub780 I love the 210d back panel.

Dude you have some issues to deal with
@@peterciaccio6147 I’m sure I do. But none that relate to this video or GORUCK
