I've only recently found your videos , I think what you do is brilliant ! I have come to realise that I've suffered with bouts of depression throughout most of my adult life - although I struggled without realising what it actually was. that was happening. It's validating to hear you talk so openly about your experiences. Thank you for sharing - it has helped me a lot!
Chris, Not only reviewing the good memories of the past, but also going back to the un-resolved issues . You may well know ,any addiction can be due to deprivations , lack of self confidence and no self- love. God bless you for the public awareness.
I prefer watching videos from down to earth people like this rather then these main stream overkill youtuber videos with all the dramatic music etc. I’ve seen my fair share of those kinds. This guy and the creator of the alcohol mastery channel give a genuine delivery that I think more people can relate to. Thanks sir.
Thanks for such an informative video. I can completely relate as I have experienced similar. I have subscribed now. People shouldn’t see depression as an illness it is something anyone can go through at anytime in their life. Until you go through it you won’t truly understand what it is about. Thanks again.
So true Chris... there are comments from friends and family that mean well but do no good like “think positive thoughts “ or “this too shall pass”. Thank you for your inspiration ❤️❤️❤️
Chris, thank you that you shared this experience and your transformation with us. I have never heart someone explaining depression so good and detailed like you did. You have gone through so heavy dark times and you are so strong. Thank you for all that you shared with us, I think it will be helpful for people who are stuck in such depressions. It is nothing that I need (I need only your advises how to get a non-smoker 😉) but I am interested in people who have the strength to transform into better versions of themselves. We all can do it.... Thank you!
Thank you for this video Chris, you are bold to put your feelings out there :) I have struggled with depression in different times of my life, that's something I am somewhat okay with. My bigger problem is procrastination; and I do know some of the reasons (Mine is perfectionism and the fear of failure). I also do know the importance of breaking certain goals into smaller tasks, in order to make everything more achievable etc. As much as my rational mind is completely aware of what I must do, and how I must do it, my *****subconscious is sometimes getting the best of me. I did manage to quit smoking cold turkey, from 2-3 packs a day to zero 5 months ago and it was all brain power; thanks to you, Allen Carr, many TED talks etc. but no willpower. I think to myself, if I can overcome something I did for nearly 20 years, I can overcome many other things. Shortly, I would appreciate a video for procrastinators, which I am sure are not few in number. Some of us, may not be dealing with the level of depression you mention, but I am sure, the level of procrastination we deal with, leads to worse conditions. After all, the more a person can achieve, the happier the person. Procrastination goes hand to hand with depression and it may be harder to diagnose, since it can be mistaken for laziness. Procrastination is not laziness people! It is not, I know it. Sorry for this long comment Chris, I admire you and your approach, and thank you for your interest in sharing your experience :)
