As a type 1 diabetic for the past 30 years , I have noticed that when my sugar levels are abnormally high , every time I urinate , I get foamy bubbles , the same foamy bubbles when I'm dehydrated, also when I get drunk ... , don't generalize
Couldn’t dehydration be a result of high blood sugar and also a result of being drunk? Thus all three “different” scenarios are actually just dehydration.
Sir, am a very long time Type 1 Diabetic of late got a new data from UK saying that Non Protuniurea Chronic Kidney Disease is getting common in both Types of Diabetes. Although Mine KFT and Urine Routine are Normal, What's Ur view. Please Guide Thanks 🙂🙂😁😁
Thanks for reaching out, @VS-cs9qn. It's good that you're monitoring your kidney function regularly. Yes, it's possible to develop kidney disease without proteinuria, but it's less common. Please consult your doctor for personalized guidance! Stay healthy! 😃
The toilet bowl water can bubble too. If you have funky water or cleaning agents in the water it may foam. I foam when i pee in toilets but not when i pee in urinals or outside on the ground
One more reason for foamy urine is ketones. I switched to a ketogenic diet and noticed my urine was very foamy and got worried about kidney disease and my first blood work showed my egfr was 86 which is not very low but was still worried so I drank dandelion tea everyday and a month later my egfr was 107 and has been above 104 for the last 4 times i have had blood work done but my urine was still foamy so I asked for a urine protein test and it came back negative for protein but positive for ketones. Come to find out that foamy urine from ketones is normal on a ketogenic diet. Keep that in mind if on Keto because it's not commonly mentioned and is completely benign.
So true! My GFR increased from 82 to 90 from a year ago. How much of the dandelion tea did you drink per day? Also, I hear camomile tea and green tea lowers the A1C. Lastly, did your BUN increased due to keo?
So, on the Keto diet you are following most people are eating quite a bit of protein from meat. Over a time Keto will really cause you to become unhealthy, putting a lot of strain on your urinary system and your cardiovascular too. Yes, Keto will get one in shape and you can loose weight but long term it is damaging your body.
My Daughter passed away in March 2022. After her passing my health took a turn for the worse. I am diabetic, after she passed my blood sugar levels were out of control. A1C has been as high as 14+. I have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure, & my kidney function is low 36% and that is the function in both kidneys. I have had urinary tract infection, bladder and kidney infection. I take antibiotics and 3-4 days after I finish my antibiotics the infection is back. I have been hospitalized for mersa , pancreatitis, kidney stones and infections over the past year. I feel extremely tired, difficulty sleeping, nauseous after eating. I am seeing a nephrologist, urologist, and now a cardiologist. Thank you for ll your Information.
My pee has bubbles but I pee with alot of force. They go away fairly quick and flush down toilet. I read foamy urine tends to not flush down and looks more like dish soap. So foamy and bubbly look different.
I have a question ☝️😎, being a male, if there is protein in the urine, and it bubbles when you stand up to pee, will it still bubble if you sit down to pee?
Hi i have foamy urine for months now and i am getting anxious i had myself checked last year due to high uric acid levels resulting to a few gout attacks. I Did not have a gout attack now for almost a year but started to notice my urine being foamy is this still related to high uric acid ?

Thank you Doctor, for such an informative video presentation. Yes, I have realised I have had foamy urine, but it’s so normal for me to have protein in my urine, as I have auto-immune. I have been told by my Doctor this is normal. I also have swollen ankles too. Nevertheless, I think it may be time for an updated blood test. Thankyou for educating us all.
I don't, but wondering why YT directed me to this video. They must know my dad! Who could create a layer back in the days when thrifty people only flushed #2. Dad would wake up, leave a layer, leave for work, and when I woke up to go to the bathroom, the bubbles were still all there. He still does it when I visit - he's 75, and the first I remember this was at least 35 years ago, probably more. He doesn't drink or smoke and has never had issues with labs.

Me too,20 years ago,I had foamy urine and was concerned and have had it ever since. As a matter of fact, I believe I've had it all my life, and I'm fine...70 yrs old now!!!
As a 37 or 38 year Type II diabetic, foamy urine usually means protein or albumin is coming from your kidneys-not a good thing long-term! Also if you notice the ODOR of something you ATE today in your urine-that's NOT GOOD AT ALL! I'm 70 and have Stage 3 to 4 renal failure. If I move to full Stage 4, I'll probably need dialysis once a week, my Doc says, to protect my old kidneys and my EYES! Stage 5 puts you on the transplant list. Diabetics, HYDRATE yourself to where you have to pee every hour, keep that urine straw colored. I got food poisoning from a fast-food in March and spent 8 days in ICU because my urine looked like leaded gasoline and smelled like it and BURNED worse! My liver was mad at me for not eating or drinking for 4 days, and I had lost all the flora and fauna in my gut. BTW, Stage 6 means your feet are in your coffin...you can't live 6 months on daily dialysis, and you no longer are a candidate for a new kidney.
Years ago I started having super foamy pee, like it would fill the toilet with foam, it was so weird. I was jobless and broke so seeing a doctor wasn't an option so I turned to the internet and learned protein makes the foam and of course panicked about it being kidney related. Then it dawned on me...I'd been living off nothing but ramen and eggs for the past month. This was like 15 years ago when eggs were super cheap. I was eating like a dozen eggs a day to feel full and basically just loading my body up with protein and was peeing it out. Changed my diet up and it immediately went away, but for a month I was turning my toilet into a foam pit. So it can be something as dumb as that. Luckily now I've been employed full time with full benefits for awhile but that was one rough month. I also lost like 30lbs because I couldn't afford beer.
Hello doc. Can you do video about JARDIANCE medicine ? How that works and side effects and effectiveness . Also compare and contras with metformin. Please educate us about this medicine. Thanks will appreciate it .
I just got off jardiance, because I was not drinking enough water, it will dehydrate you, but it did keep my AIC down, but it caused my mouth to dry out really bad, making my lips cracked and severerly dried out, burning with pain, also making my kidneys sore, being diabetic already lends itself to causing kidney problems,so I've got off the jardiance 4 weeks ago, and my lips healed up, and my kidneys are not sore anymore, I'm back on the metformin, those are 2 of the side effects that they warn about with this medicine, you must drink plenty of water to keep hydrated with jardiance, my Dr. Told me that ,but I just wasn't doing it, my own fault, but my main concern was the problems it could give me with my kidneys, so I was actually glad to get off of it, hope this helps you, good luck and good health too you!

That's the reality where I live and I am in America btw.
I always understood that it was excess protein being excreted. Your body lets go of any protein intake just like any water-soluble substance. Protein is pretty much use it or lose it. Of course, if it happens often, you probably have other problems.
I thought your kidneys were supposed to filter the protein to the blood, not the bladder. There's holes in the kidney filters if proteins getting to the urine...right? 5:40

I was scared to watch this video because I started seeing the foamy urine a few months ago. I have been doing everything I could think of with research I've done but so far I found 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar diluted in an 8-10 ounce glass of water, with 5 teaspoons lemon juice could help. 2 garlic cloves chopped up and waiting 8-10 minutes for the allicin to kick in and give it 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to help the taste so it doesn't burn as you eat it. Tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil from a dark bottle. All before breakfast is supposed to help with all the anti-oxidents and anti-inflametory with a high fiber diet can help slow down the progression of CKD. Since it hasn't gone away completley but disapeared through out the day and comes back next morning, I plan to see a nephrologist soon. I have hopes for a medicine just approved by the FDA that can reduce protieneuria by 40% called Kerendia with Forxiga. I'm also trying this new smoothie of half a green apple, 1 stalk of celery, half cup of parsley, and a lemon to also lower the protein and flush out the creatinine.
Just watched a video of his saying foxiga, jardiance, and invokana medicine can cause acute kidney damage, I got of the jardiance, it made my mouth dry out and my kidneys sore I too take Acv, lemon juice, and sugar free cranberry juice, for a kidney flush, I'll use what your other recipes are, thx for sharing those!

Liver issues can cause foamy pee.. If youre an alcoholic or something. Thats how mine started... i stopped drinking now for 5 months. And most all my symptoms of liver disease went away but not the foamy pee
With a history of kidney stones - having them over 20 times - I am under the care of both a Urologist and a Nephrologist. I get bubbly urine in the bowl most times when I go to the bathroom. What puzzles me is that my eGFR is 65 yet only once in the last 6 urine tests did it report a "trace" of protein in the urine. All the other five times showed negative for protein. So, on the one hand, the eGFR indicates problems, yet on the other hand protein in the urine is negative (except for one time when a "trace" was indicated).
Some bubbles are not foam. Eating a lot of protein at one time and not enough water to process it can cause bubbly urine. Metabolizing protein take a LOT of water. A LOT. Another issue is toilet tank cleaners leaving a bit of soap in the water.
But some have said not to drink water with your meals because it would dilute your digestive acids.....??? What's more important, the acids or the water?...

I started having very bubbly urine like a year ago. A few things to note are that i always have a strong stream, i never drink enough water and am dehydrated alot and my urine is concentrated. When i drink alot of water i get bubbles but they aren't really foamy and they go away within 60 seconds or so id say. But my first pee of the day when dehydrated has lots of bubbles and they stick around for 10 minutes or so. I just had blood work and my creatinine, albumin and total protein levels were normal. But that was in my blood that's not the same as what might be making it through my kidneys right? I'm kinda worried.
For me, it was Sugar (Metformin increases this too for us diabetics). Despite being diabetic, it's hard not to cheat whether chocolate or carbs, etc. I noticed when I went on a Carnivore/Keto diet, the foamy urine went completely away. Anytime I would have a bunch of carbs/sugar say on a holiday or a cheat day(s) or snuck a 20oz Coke or two, it returns for a few days until I fast back into keto.

Basically foamy urine is from a lack of water 💧 and being dehydrated. This is a good thing to know.
Agreed, and caffeine contributes to this and stress
Yes, it clears up whenever I have an abundance of water I’ve consumed.
Mine is foamy when I have a lack of water or whenever I eat foods high in sodium. When I drink plenty of water little to no foam.
I tried drinking more water and yes the foam are lesser. In fact past few days I havent been drinking much water.
@@NookTommy is it still foamy
As a type 1 diabetic for the past 30 years , I have noticed that when my sugar levels are abnormally high , every time I urinate , I get foamy bubbles , the same foamy bubbles when I'm dehydrated, also when I get drunk ... , don't generalize
How r u now?
Couldn’t dehydration be a result of high blood sugar and also a result of being drunk? Thus all three “different” scenarios are actually just dehydration.

@carlbarron1186 I'm glad you found it helpful. Thank you for your support!
Thanks Dr. Ergin....This was a very informative video! I always wondered why there is foam every once in a while.
Thank you I'm looking all over the place for why my pee has foam, I'm ketosis tho.
@kaweka260 hi brother how to increase egfr that is mean you dink dandelion tea the drink with improve the percentage please replay to me

I had kidney failure this year and have bubbles in my urine.
I was worried asked a few co-workers about this. Every one of them said they always do.
A little bubbly? Or FOAMY...
My pee has bubbles but I pee with alot of force. They go away fairly quick and flush down toilet. I read foamy urine tends to not flush down and looks more like dish soap. So foamy and bubbly look different.
only at morning this happens to me but not other time

Good info
Shouldn't "need" someone else's kidney or body part in general. Ridiculous.
I also lost like 30lbs because I couldn't afford beer.
thank you for this.
