With changing different modes, don’t change it too often, it can cause problems as a friend of mine found, it stuffed up big time . Better to just choose which setup you want and go from there.
sNstRflyEr Mine sent another one of my planes into a nose dive today. Whenever I try using rates or anything beyond basic UMX use, the damn thing sends my planes into a nose dive. Its like its locked up or something. Been doing it since day one. As long as I only fly basic, its fine. I set up a UMX T-28 this morning EXACTLY as the book stated so you can use the gear switch for Beginner, intermediate, advanced mode buy assigning switches and when I switched to intermediate, the plane went nuts, as if the transmitter lost the receiver, it ended up in tall grass, no damage. Had it been my large T - 28, scrap! Crap DX 6i anyways!
I bought this radio and have been trying to figure it out. It doesn't quite operate the way this video describes. Anyway, I followed the video's example and changed from Mode 2 to Mode 1 and now for some reason the radio is stuck on "WARNING - Throttle High". How do I get out of this?
Quick question. How do I reset to factory settings. My transmitter is being funky and when I calibrated it Its telling me throttle high and stuff and I can't do anything. Help!!!!
Louis Petherbridge 1 second ago I have a DX6e and replaced the x4 AA batteries with a lipo pack - and found the pack kept going flat over night -- discovered transmitter has an over voltage built in safety so switches its self back on --- pain in the butt --- over came the problem by installing a separate switch between the pack and transmitter --- transmitter needs to be switch off 1st to maintain the last flight info then battery isolated by the separate switch --- now full voltage and no overnight drain
What is the max GB for the sd card? Need to buy one and don't want to waste getting too big of one. I have been looking and haven't found an answer yet.
Have you ever had any problems with that radio and how often do you use the radio I know but use my radio three times a week and I've been have a lot of problems with that radio please get back and let me know if you are having problems as well I am curious

I like the new setup with this radio. I have the DXe, and it's an awesome radio, but I like this one better, especially with the programming screen. Are there two different DX6e radios? I have seen two different ones on UA-cam, and was wondering. They had different toggle switches.
hellow I have question about arming ....the dx6E will not let me arm my motors. ..flying a predator 650 with apm2.8 allsetup in mission planner no issues arming but when I went to calibrate my motors it wouldn't let me..didn't have a problem with my old radio. .. (dx6i) my model type I setup is multi rotor. ...thanks
I need your help recently I bought a Drones spedix 250 pro and RC spektrum dx6e both compatible according to amain. I have tried to link without success, they know how I can link both teams.
I went through the same thing with my new Spedix Black Knight 250 and new Spektrum DX6e. Very frustrating. I wanted to set them both on fire in the driveway. However, after not getting any response back from Spedix I decided to go all out and determined to figure this stuff out. It paid off. First - there are some good videos from Buddy RC: ua-cam.com/video/JZKPa6jOFw8/v-deo.html (and) (and) ua-cam.com/video/3m9gC5o6WmQ/v-deo.html (and) ua-cam.com/video/Cd8g-jmPzzE/v-deo.html If you go step by step, this works out very well and got mine in the air. Yeah - I had to do it multiple times to get it right, and it was frustrating at first, but I'm now glad I had to go through all the misery because now I now how to use CleanFlight and my DX6e very well. One thing I did find is that in the video they mention to orient the quad at 180 degrees. That is not correct. You have to make sure that you set up everything as shown in the videos, except the 180 degree thing. Take your time and it will work. I found stock settings for the Spedix Black Knight 210 and loaded that into CleanFlight for the 250. Could not find any stock settings for the BK250. It was not perfect, but a good place to start if your Spedix settings were messed up, missing, or you messed them up. Go here ( www.rcgroups.com/forums/thumbgallery.php?t=2893063&do=threadgallery&type=files&group=none&starter=no ) for the stock 210 settings and watch this video to load them into CleanFlight: ua-cam.com/video/WMHqIHPjPIM/v-deo.html You will also need to follow the steps in the videos to get your transmitter set up properly. Go through all 3 Buddy RC videos several times. I found it confusing at first, but it made perfect sense after I tried a few times. Pay close attention to the videos above, and you should be a happy flier soon! Again, I wanted to light mine on fire and give up. Glad I stuck with it. Flies great, and now I'm familiar with my equipment. Makes a big difference. The mystery has gone and the flying is good.
Does anyone know if I can have 2 models for the same helicopter? EX: I have two Nano s2's, but I want to configure each differently, and so fly on a different program for each one.
Hello I have been having problems with my Dx6e. I have been treating it well but the power button got stuck and can’t turn it on to get the serial number. Has anyone had this problem or can someone help?
It easier to setup the Zeyrok as plane mode because it's a very simple drone. A racing drone will have to use the multi rotor mode in order to have all the settings available. Cheers
A word of caution with this radio, and others like it. The power button is the worst design ever. It has a tendency to lock up when you press it and I have used my radio a lot, never to excess in pressing power on or off. Once out of warranty spektrum will suck you in with their service costs and you are better off getting a better radio. I like most of their stuff, but this model with that power switch is a really bad idea. Just trying to help
MrBreeze , it boggles me why anyone would fly in mode 2 lol, but then I learnt years ago when they didn’t have these sorts of radios, I learnt in mode 1 so I found it easier.
Great, this video shows me that you know how every thing works - good for you, mr. know it all - but no help to me ! I guess it's just a ''look at me showingoff'" video - not an instructional one. Don't waste your time with this showoff guy - read the manual for yourself.
@ericwills777 great to see you are catching up with our video from seven years ago on the Spektrum DX6e. This video was shot at the time of release and was focused on some of the main questions we were getting from Australian consumers as the transmitter was released. These related to Mode changing and the bind process specifically. Yes, the product also comes with a very extensive manual and offers a lot of features. No, in the 9 minute video we didn't cover everything the DX6e can do.
@@modelflight Yes, I guess the title was misleading - I thought it was about how I, and people like me, can operate the transmitter, but instead it was about showing me how easily you could operate it, - not helpful for me - and, if it's that old, and no longer relevant, why not take it down ?. Do us all a favour, think about your audience not about yourself, unless, of course, that's what you want to show us.
@rodneymegginson1712 this is a 9-minute video for a non-physical mode change. What did you find was missing? Did you try pausing through stages to assist?
I cannot believe I finally found this video. So informative. It should be the first video every DX6e owner should watch, a staple!! thanks so much!!!!
Picking up a gently used one this evening...will need to watch this again for sure!
Thank you for your thorough explanation!

I'm still rockin the Dx6i x......love it.
Me too, and its performed flawlessly, but i'm really starting to feel the need to upgrade to something with more features like this.

Does DX6e do telemetry and how is it set up? I cannot find any guides. I have a Timber Evo.
do always have to set up a plane or quad before you bind it up ? or can you bind your plane first then set it up...or quad. Thanks

Reminder ; here the Left hand gamble is the throttle . European standard
HERE In USA the throttle is on the Left hand gimbals normally … cool !
Does this radio support forward programing
Hi @TIMMYT FPV, yes, this is forward programming capable. This chart my help: www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/Files/Spektrum_Air_Transmiter_Chart.pdf
Thank you for the fast reply

I have a dx6e throttle warning tone is to quite, can I increase the volume and how.
Hi. What's the maximum range between the DX6e and the included AR610?
I've found that unless you're withing line-of-sight, range with these radios isn't an issue.
How far can I go away
500 meters
Depends on how high your flying, the higher your model is, up to a point, the more range, less ground interference.

Is this compatible with the ikon gyro
Does it come with a sd

If you have 2 of the same type of aircraft you can make multiple models of them on the transmitter so you'll be able to do that.
I have an older dx7 is this an upgrade to it?
Will it fly a blade nano s3?
Hello I have been having problems with my Dx6e. I have been treating it well but the power button got stuck and can’t turn it on to get the serial number. Has anyone had this problem or can someone help?
does dx6e work with indurtix fpv?(tiny whoop)
eric wang Totally, as long as it's Horizons Inductrix or another brand with a dsmx compatible flight controller.
Will this process bind the +inductrix 200 FPV to the DX6 E ?
John Wedrall , it will
Is there a voice on this transmitter
By default, there is no connector to put lipo baterry, cutting and welding can I put a lipo pack?
You must have a first gen DX6E they started making them with a panel cut out and removeable pack
Does it work with sim? becoz i cant see a whole for jack??
you need a usb plug to wifi link
I have this transmitter and when I bind my throttle will not go all the way up. Motor will only run up a little
Are you travels set right?
Sounds like you need to calibrate your ESC.
Does the DX6e not come with a multi rotor model type?
Hi Richard, Yes it does :) Cheers
Then why didn't you use it when programming it for your multi rotor?
It easier to setup the Zeyrok as plane mode because it's a very simple drone. A racing drone will have to use the multi rotor mode in order to have all the settings available. Cheers
Modelflight hi so what are the model type setting for a 650 class? plane or multi rotor? thanks
I would definitely go with multi rotor as you have more options to tune your drone. Cheers

I cannot connect to phoenix rc sim because it has no trainer jack :( What can I do about about this please?
Hi, Are you trying to connect with a DXe?
no I am trying to connect with a DX6e
Unfortunately the DX6e is not compatible with Phoenix simulator. Cheers
thats a real shame
thank you very much!!
can I have where both joys will center instead of a ratchet on a side so I can use it for my rc bulldozer
Yes you can. I done this for my Helicopter Flying
i cant get my DX6E to use twin motors for air plane cant find any videos out there about setting differential thrust for the DX6E
The radio was already at least seven years old this video is… Doesn't spectrum have a replacement?
👍👍😎 very helpful but too fast on the right side dial for me to follow. thanks 😎
Telemetry?
Hi FlyHigh, Yes the Spektrum DX6e has Smart telemetry built-in. Cheers
