I don't think it really counts as a boss fight, but I absolutely adore the 1000 Heartless Battle from KH2

What I like about the Xemnas Boss Fight is that you fight it side-by-side with Riku.
There is just something really powerful about fighting alongside your best friend.

The fight with the possessed riku in Kingdom hearts 1 should have made it on one of your lists i remember him being EXTREMELY hard even when i replayed the game. The lists you have are great but ask any kingdom hearts fan the possessed riku fight was hard

Dont hate me but i think that riku fight isnt that hard. Of course when i played first time i died once but its easy to master. Like dodge roll hiss attacks when he goes to super form (dashes super fast many times in a row) just start flying and you will be fine. Before riku there is one fight that is actually much harder and its Dragon Maleficent! HOLY SHIT! I died sooo much times in proud i died like 10 times i was so anrgy it was like too hard for me. But i still love riku fight its so cool because he is fast and he does have cool abilities and when you defeat him you ger ragnarok :)

I seriously have to agree with you for number 1. When Roxas pulled out two keyblades, my jaw kind of dropped on the floor and later my friends and I all literally screamed our hearts out since we didn't expect him to dual wield. That was seriously an epic moment!

5- Roxas VS Riku (358/2 days): the fight was not that hard or anything, but, since I saw the secret ending of KHI, it was THE fight I wanted to do, and, with all that happened before in 358/2 days, even if you know what's gonna happend, you really wish to beat the shit out of Riku and go kill Xemnas
4-Sora VS Xigbar (KHII): Well, for this one ... for me, Xigbar was the hardest boss in all KH when I fought him, I was in normal mode, my level as something around 54 and even with all of this, I had such a hard time I got stucked on this one for month, even the White Vanitas in BBS didn't seem this hard to me in hard mode (I'm not gonna talk about the Young Xehanort, it's just some OP shit, and the only thing they fought about to make it hard was "What if we made a boss that do some one hit win shit just to give a keyblade that make invisibility kinda useless ?"), seriously, for me, this fight was the hardest, even with knowing his pattern, he give me a really hard time
3-Roxas VS Axel (KHII): you didn't expect to get 2 keyblades, but you got them, and they're two of my favorites ! You fight a really badass guy that set the place on fire, with a cool guy that you barely know and who's as lost as you, the music is motherfucking awesome, everything is here ... But difficulty, the fight could have been the first on the list, but really, the difficulty was not there, and it kinda kill everything.
2-Sora VS Ansem-Riku (KHI): You want to save the girl, but for that, you have to fight against your best friend who speak weird and have a non-friendly voice, who got a brand new keyblade with enough power to turn Maleficiant in a motherfucking Dragon while you have a cool looking Keyblade with a Chocobo on it, it's the time to get your revenge on how he defeated you in the first Island (come on, we all got our ass kicked the first time we faced Riku on Destiny Island) and also for that time when he took your fucking Keyblade. And you finally got a fight against 2 keyblades weilder .... And HOLY SHIT, nobody was expecting such a hard fight,
1- Lingering Will VS Terranort (KH BBS): Oh man, everything was in there, the fight was difficult, it's the best fight in the entire game (even though I prefer to use Aqua), I didn't expect things to go that way (i did not knew about the KHII+ secret boss) and holy fuck, Terra was just so badass at this very moment. This fight was just my favorite in the entire KH franchise

I always keep a save file for just before the axel fight, just in case I feel like replaying the boss fight.

No. I hated Roxas vs. Sora, because if they are the same person , why the Fuck wasn't I that powerful.
i never said i had trouble with the fight. roxas just exhibited powers that sora didn't have and it pissed me off

RLLY???? 0_0 i played a patched KHIIFM and regular kh II hè was a relative pushover. BTW i agreement with cynical with twilight torn being reason for me loving kh. I started with kh II so for me it was a rlly epic fight.

My favorite is either the Sora vs. Roxas fight or the Xemnas fight right after that. Freaking sick, though I wish there were more cinematic reaction commands.
I really liked how the one command in the Xemnas fight paralleled the one secret cutscene from KH1.
I loved the Axel boss fight!!! It's one of the main reasons why I loved playing as Roxas. I didn't even have to use any reaction commands.
Really, my favorite boss fights were with the organization. I don't care how easy or hard or quick, I found pure pleasure from observing each character's technique and how their weapon choices reflected something of their prior lives. Back then, I was obsessed with Org13. XD lol I just loved the whole idea of 13 individual members with their own fighting techniques. And in Chain of Memories, the gameplay was just annoying with the card system, but fighting the org just motivated me to finish the game.
I don't know about anyone else but I always make separate save files at my favorite boss fights in games.
Tension Rising is my favorite Battle Soundtrack too!!!! Awesome!!!!
My favorite is the final fight against Xenmas. The whole fight with the 4 parts is just epic, and when you get finally against that badass Xenmas with his new coat, it's just awesome. The fight is epic especially with that freaking music (one of my favorites, seriously) and damn you even get to control Riku! That part was just thrilling.
I would agree however that the fight is not very hard but I would not call it easy (even me who finish the game sevral times I almost died twice in that fight when I played KH2.5)
i soooooooooooooooooo agree with 1. that fight went along with the history of kh of having friends fight each other. also part of my favorite story lines in the series
The Vanitas fight you're talking about blew in regards to that last part (where you can't heal and have to build the gauge). It came out of nowhere and you had to restart the whole fight if you fucked up. It's easy once you figure it out, but having to figure it out like that is kinda shitty.

Yyyyyup. Definitely agree with roxas vs axel being number 1 and for the same reasons too lol. When roxas pulled the two keyblades out, man that was too epic. The room is filled with fire and the 13th struggle is probably what made it so epic. That track is probably my favorite. And I know it isnt a boss, but I still feel that the 1000 heartless fight should be included. It was like the best fight in the game. EVERYONE was in that shit

My favourite definitely has to be Roxas vs Riku at the end of 358/7 Days. I loved being able to actually do that fight scene which we'd already seen as a cut scene previously

My favourite boss fight ever has got to be the Sora v Roxas fight in the World that never was! The music, the emotions, the battle OMG! Stealing Roxas's keyblades and whipping up a total of 3 Keyblades! allso did i mention the music?!

For me the most memorablr fight was the fights vs possessed riku in kh1 because it was so climatic and at the end sora becomes a heartless...epic fight!!!

I agreed with most of them (especially the Axel one) but my number one would have to be the KHII Sephiroth fight. Challenging at first, then once you get the technique and his attacks down, it's really enjoyable. Plus you get the Fenrir, which is just badass. Sephiroth is also in my top 5 FF bosses. That fight was just sooo awesome.
To Numbr 4: Xemnas was an EASY boss? 0_o I mean he was not that hard, yes. YET I remember failing many times on my first play through when you have to play as Riku to save Sora.

The thing I love bout Kh boss battles are that some of them are ridiculously hard which makes it feel even better when you take down that boss after the one billionth try ... Yes I'm looking at you sephiroth.....
One of my favourite parts of Kingdom Hearts Bosses is deciding how to kill the boss, and my favourite will always be snapping Twilight Thorn's neck
I like the fights that are 1 on 1 humans more than the fights that are the whole party versus a giant monster.
It would be sick if you covered more games than just kingdom hearts it would be sick to see you cover more games that most people don't cover

Xemnos as your top 4th pick is actualy my number one fav because he was relley unique in kingdom hearts and wasn't insane with a list of insta kill commands like most the bosses
I always hear people talking about the strategies to beat bosses but I always fight every boss even the extra ones in the same style I play the whole game. The only extra boss I took part of a strategy for was Vanitas' remnant and the only change I made to my style was to add tornado to my commands. I have never used the mine commands or balloon commands they aren't my style.
Sora vs Roxas in Kingdom Hearts 2 final remix is my all time favorite. You finally throw it down with Sora's nobody for fucks sake! you fight Roxas in his theme song which got me into my feels and the cutscene after the fight made me shed a tear.
Roxas vs Sora is the most enjoyable boss fight especially in remix where you can refight the upgrade version of him again and again

Honorable Mentions:
KH1, Dark Riku at Hollow Bastion. The quintessential climax moment of the conflict between Sora and Riku, Heart vs Power, Friends versus Darkness. This fight touched all of us as kids.
KHBBS, Aqua vs Possessed Terra in Final Episode. This fight does the same. She fights to bring back her lost friend and she knows he's in there. the reaction command segments where she reaches through to the light in his heart and helps him fight back are gut-wrenching. Then he spouts the Guardian? We all felt the rage we had for KH1 Ansem at that moment. Overall an amazing feeling to an amazing fight.
KH358/2, Roxas vs Xion. We all cried. I swear we all did. This fight was not only challenging, but heartbreaking. We almost didn't want to win, since we knew what happened next. Emotions. Feels. That is all.
KH3D, Riku vs Young Xehanort. Time, Time, Time. This fight was insane. The pressure, the adrenaline, the confusion. This fight kept you on your toes and never let up for a moment. Even when it slowed down, you sped up. Truly incredible.
I have more, but these few definitely deserve recognition.

This is my favourite boss fight, because of the music and the background of the fight and the fight itself, because it's not too easy, but also not too hard. I was so sure it's on first place.

Honestly, similar to Julius I think an amazing boss, at least a unique one for maybe say...like Timeless River if they ever do it again, would be the Phantom Blot.

It's funny, my first kh game was days. My second was chain of memories. When I played through the first bit of kh2, and I got to sora, I was like, "cool, can I get back to roxas now?" And then I played it and realized I wasn't gonna be playing as roxas anymore. I then proceeded to cry a little until I decided I would still play it anyway. Best decision I ever made.
The best thing about Julius is you can re fight him at any time....but you don't get anything else out of it
God I squeed at number one. I thought I was the only one who loved this fight. Lea is my favorite character. His whole character arc was so enjoyable. I pray to God that he is a playable character again in KH 3.

I had actually downloaded a Ps2 emulator along with Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix and an English patch. I've played through the game several times, the last being on Critical Mode. But, as fate would have it, my computer broke down and I lost the save. Seeing this, I just deleted the Ps2 emulator along with all it's assets. While watching this video, though, I found my old save! Gonna go see if it works.

Vanitas was incredibly easy but the problem I had was the final phase. I would use the reaction command to finish him AND IT KEPT MISSING HIM. Took me about 10 tries for it to finally hit him. Anyway..My favorite boss battle is probably the Sora and Roxas fight. It's such a meaningful fight and the music is probably my favorite song in the entire Kingdom Hearts series.

My personal favorite boss has to be the No Heart. I absolutely loved the way it looked and fought, and is one of the reasons I bought KH 2.5. My only grievance would have to be that I'd have rather the fight taken place in the destroyed Land of Departure instead of the normal one, but whatever, still a badass fight.

Nice list. I thought that most of the list was built off of nostalgia, but it was great nonetheless.
xemnas was easy until 2.5 hd came out and one of the reversal commands was glitched and not working. Dx before i found that out, i was screaming at my tv wondering why it had been so simple for me to beat before in the original and not so simple for hd's fight.
I think Julius is a really cool secret boss. And he works great as a secret boss because he's not very well not. Not only that, but he comes out of the sewer, out of hiding, to fight you, and when the fight is over, turns tail and returns to the sewer. I agree, I want more lesser known Disney characters in KH.

Pete is a cat, Julius is a cat. They're both villains. I guess it's because Mickey's a mouse. So they made big bad cat characters that look similar I guess. They're not related or anything, I just think when they made Julius, he just happened to look like Pete.

5. Vanitas as Aqua in BBS. Mainly because of the introduction of Mickey and how he helps you. That was badass.
4. Terranort as Terra's Keyblade Armor in BBS. That was the first ever time I broke a PS3 controller over a game. It also takes the cake for the worst thing I've ever done in KH.
3. Axel (as Roxas, of course) in KH2. This is probably the most memorable fight in KH history in my opinion.
2. Sephiroth in KH2. Do I even need a reason?
1. Vanitas. As Ventus. Not his Graveyard fight, but his Dive to the Heart fight. The end of that fight is probably the best and saddest KH memory I have. Ventus is my favorite KH character of all time, and it was so sad seeing him have to do that to a part of his own heart. Let's just hope he'll be in KH3.

if ventus does not wake up in kingdom hearts 3 I think it would be cool if dual wielding became a common thing that you were able to use indefinitely of Course nerf it a lot but just every time a heartless or nobody comes out sora just takes out two that would be sick no drive form
