Third movement nicely played with vigour, spirit and correct tempo. I can play this too, though I may need more practice. Unlike the 2nd Concerto, the star here are obviously the strings. Sehr gut!!! Ausgezeichnet!!!
_Ausgesachnet_ (Or is it _Ausgeseichnet_ ?) I wanted to take German in high school, but I never got the chance. It was either French, Italian, or Spanish.
Ha! I do play this on the violin, all from memory. Many many years ago I was in a musical instrument shop in a shopping centre. I selected a very nice top of the range Italian violin (about $10,000) and proceeded to play the 1st movement off the cuff. I closed my eyes the entire time and let fly the notes! When I finished, I heard clapping. Apparently a bunch of people had gathered around me which I didn't even realize. I was a bit embarrassed but I was a good sport and let fly with the 3rd movement. I believe if old uncle Bach was there, he would've been proud too! What I don't understand is why was this excellent video only recently uploaded when this equally excellent performance was recorded in 2000?
Not everyone knows this but for the 2nd movement, the violins only have two notes to play. Typically the harpsichordist have to improvise much of the movement, the strings only join in the the last 2 bars.
Excellent version; the second movement was very well improvised, in keeping with the style of the piece.
Coming back to visit again. I know by heart every note, every fingering, every inflection, every nuance (for violins 1 & 2) of this movement.
Bravo Bach! Bravo Ton! Thanks for uploading this wonderful interpretation of an iconic masterpiece! ❤️🎼🎵🎶👏🇮🇪☘️
Eccellente
