Unreal. The Art of the Fugue was an obsession of mine when I was in college. That it was all but impossible on a single guitar was a neverending source of frustration. Hearing it so expertly played on piano let's me live vicariously, so thank you for uploading this masterful performance!
I see you check your comments. I was surprised when I came across this video. I thought I was the only one on the planet Earth to play this piece. Alas, I learned only the first three. I can't imagine learning the whole thing! You have the patience and clarity of a Buddhist monk. I consider it to be mankind's greatest artistic achievement. You, probably, feel the same.
What makes it the " mankind's greatest artistic achievement"? Is your statement just based on pure listening to the music? Serious question. I am curious.
@@MrUseur First of all, music seems to communicate deeper than other art forms. I know there is no way I can prove that, except to say that the frequency relationships between the 12 notes in the octave correspond exactly to the frequency relationships found between electrons in all atoms. I love your playing and I also love the fact there are no commercials interrupting your playing. That's another, "Bravo!" :)
Working as a visual artist in Canada listening to this with headphones allows complete concentration and uninterrupted flow state to complete very delicate and complex work with excellent results that may not have been able to be accomplished otherwise. Thank you Bach and Marta Czech❤
I had to hear this again, and, if anything, it seemed even more impressive. For me this is one of the very best things on youtube - complete integrity throughout. It is so wonderful to have such easy access to great performances like this. Thanks to UA-cam.
Omg did you memorise the whole book and play it at one shot? You are my idol
Danke für den musikalischen Genuss am Sonntagmorgen. 🙂👍🎹🎶🎶
So happy I found you. Very special. More after I hear more of you. 🥀🌾💐🌱☘️🌻
bellezza! le auguro di restare per tutta la vita un unico insieme musicale. tutte la sue movenze trasmettono musica in un' unica entità. evviva!
This is absolutely a gem, I hope it stays on YT forever! Thank you!
Wunderbar!!!
Wonderful and graceful performance!
Truly beautiful.
I totally concur.
What an EXCELLENT performance, with scarcely a breath in between movements! Thanks!!!
The piano quality, the recording quality, the non distracting video editing and non distracting clothing, and the artworks choices (J.S.Bach Die kunst der fuge, Beethoven 32 sonatas..), suggest a serious artist, focused on art, I thought and then I did let go of all those thoughts, taken by the wonderful music, which is all that should matter. Congratulations and thank you !
I suspect a polish piano legacy from Paderewski, Chopin and Liszt.
I support you, *GO GO GO* Marta Czech !!!
Quelle mémoire !😁
