That’s exactly why they started playing Sleepwalking 2 keys lower than the original tuning in 2015. They did the same thing with CYFMH and Drown that year as well but just one key lower than original.
This was back in 2013 so I guess at the time Oli didn’t know that he was gonna have this much trouble performing Sleepwalking and CYFMH but I think the reason why they kept playing those two songs in their original key all the way til December of 2014 (despite how much trouble he was having on them) was because Sempiternal was pretty new and they were still touring on it so they probably decided to keep playing them in their original key until the Sempiternal tour was over.
He suffered through most of it. Blessed with a curse sounded better. So glad he's got control of his vocals now and learnt to actually sing. Saw them last Friday and didn't think they could have done better than sept 21, but they kicked 2021s ass.
