I was thrilled to see Jordan working with my favorite solo act and Negative Spaces is SO GOOD. You can hear his influence but in a way that adds to Poppy's established style. It really seems like their split was hard, but will be best for everyone (including BMTH, Jordan, and the fans) in the long run!
I loved Jordan's work with the band, especially on That's The Spirit. But for a while it just felt like it became the Oli & Jordan show with the rest of the band feeling nonexistent. Even though the music was still really good, it was pretty obvious most of the creativity was from them. On this last album it was good to see Lee finally start to show his talent, he had become a rhythm guitarist for almost a decade.
Jordan sounds a lot like a studio producer with his maximizing productivity approach, which is great for artists hiring him to get a job done but can be exhausting as a long term band member (especially if the band wants to experiment and push boundaries).
I thought they were cooked when i heard he left. Nex gen proved me wrong, maybe it's cause I'm a guitarist, but i think it's my favourite thing they've done
I remember watching their vlogs recording 2020 album and they would midi all guitar and drun tracks and just send them to Lee and get him to transcribe it to actual guitar, as a guitarist in a band that would be horrible! To not even write your own riffs
It looks like Dan Lancaster is now more involved in writing with BMTH. As a producer he brings some of the same skills as Jordan did. But it might be more in a supportive role than pushing in a given direction.
I’m a huge spiritbox fan and think they’re quite literally perfect but fishs involvement with tsunami sea is going to elevate it to places it couldn’t have gone without him

His team with Zakk is great. Poppy album is awesome, Architects never sounded better since Holy Hell and House Of Protection revived the original energy of Fever 333
@SergieRachmaninoff i literally said "since holy hell". I believed they peaked on LF//LT and AOGHAU and hit rock bottom with last album. However, the three new songs are great, and even tho they don't come close to AOGHAU, this is the best thing they put out since Holy Hell. Hope it helps
I liked Jordan’s contributions to sempiternal and a few songs on that’s the spirit but from that’s the spirit onwards him and Oli had way too much control of the bands sound, like Lee is a great guitar player and if I remember correctly him and Oli used to do most the song writing together and then after Jordan joins he pretty much gets demoted to a background character, like come on he’s the LEAD guitar player use him 😂 Lowkey wouldn’t be surprised if everyone starts sounding like bmth now since all these bands are using Jordan, same thing happened after sempiternal came out everyone started copying that style
Post Human: Horror survival was much better than Nex Gen. Really curious what the next album of BMTH brings. Because i feel like they will miss Jordan a lot. I also feel like they didn't have to part ways with Jordan just to get Lee and Matt more involved again. They could've spoke up themselves. Now it feels like they just didn't work as hard as Oli and Jordan. And Jordan gets blamed and dumped after making them big. I wonder which songs are more Jordan songs and which ones are more Oli songs on Nex Gen.
I have never been a real bmth fan. I really liked there is a hell and sempiternal, but that's it, so I've mostly viewed this out of casual interest. Looking at it, it seems that sykes and fish should've done a side project. If they basically took away creative contribution from the other members, then it's not really the same band anymore. Perhaps it could've prevented some resentment from forming and basically leading to fish's departure so the other members could start contributing again.
Personally, I'm happy that they amicably chose to do this because it sort of needed to happen. The band was a band before and it did become the Ollie and Jordan show and has a long time fan. It bothered me seeing that and how depressed. The rest of the guys looked was awful. They looked like they're enjoying tours but they don't get to do anything that's miserable. Who wants to work at a job where you don't get any say and it's yours with your name on it
He left because of his wife demanding Jordan got more money as he was the main writer along with Ollie, they didn't agree because as Ollie has said in a recent interview it became the Ollie and Jordan show and the rest of the band were rarely involved in the creating of the tracks. As always in anything that happens with breakups in bands its always the wives!

GREAT VID AS ALWAYS
21:23 listen to the part again and you'll hear the end of an "N", which makes me hear the word "fallen"
Which is how the funeral service goes 😂 these people claiming it’s Fish must be the luckiest people to never have been to a service
Rip is my favorite bmth song
I liked Jordan’s contributions to sempiternal and a few songs on that’s the spirit but from that’s the spirit onwards him and Oli had way too much control of the bands sound, like Lee is a great guitar player and if I remember correctly him and Oli used to do most the song writing together and then after Jordan joins he pretty much gets demoted to a background character, like come on he’s the LEAD guitar player use him 😂
Lowkey wouldn’t be surprised if everyone starts sounding like bmth now since all these bands are using Jordan, same thing happened after sempiternal came out everyone started copying that style
Wait a min… aren’t you the Dog guy who personifies all dog breeds???
Perhaps it could've prevented some resentment from forming and basically leading to fish's departure so the other members could start contributing again.
need more vids on metal bands bro, love that you're branching out
How does one person go to rehab, and is able to invest himself 24/7 into music? where the money come from?
Great video! May I recommend moving your mic over and recording at an angle to prevent plosives (and also so we can see your face) 😊
lee every was my favorit member i trust in him
Oli said in a recent interview that they invited the band back to write with them again for the first post human. Just a correction. 👍
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Oli "Sikes" had me dying.
First time seeing your channel. Liked the video. Although I find your microphone very distracting. Could I maybe suggest you get a shotgun microphone or something that’s not so in your face. Just a thought
I miss deathcore olli 🥲
Lowkey erks me hearing anyone in a band say he was my right hand man. It's a band you're each a fucking finger if that's how it is
how tf this got only 64 views 😭😭
MF it’s only been out for 5 hours
My guess is people who subscribe to this channel do so mostly for Hip Hop adjacent content (Ye, Weeknd, Carti, JPEG Mafia, etc). I don’t know this band but I like Kacey’s videos so I clicked out of curiosity and enjoyed it.
What are you talking about? It says 36k views.. 🤦🏼♂️
brooo had no idea you were into the metal scene (i come from the kanye lore videos) (soon everything will come to an end)
Sorry but kinda feel like everything from 14:04 to 23:00 was all that was needed
Wouldn't be surprised if BMTH abandon whatever they're doing to continue reviving their hardcore era now that its super popular
Would've love to join em
People really be talking about that band like my friends talked about Metallica... Ofc the bassist story 4:20
7:14 *FISHY*
i was depressed for weeks when this happened, jordan fish is my idol. really glad he's doing his own work now, but hope he makes a solo album at some point and doesn't just give all his best tunes to others like Poppy and HOP. (poppy album is incredible tho for real)
Get a grip 🙄
Fish got fired cos he is a narcissist with a disgusting behaviour towards women including Ollie’s wife and other family / friends. He took over the band and created a toxic environment for everyone until one specific event that I cannot quote that made him kicked out the band. Also, yes - RIP is a diss track !
Sucks that jordan wasn't on the post human:next gen on top of that it was delayed before release 😔
He contributed to writing quite a few of the songs on Nex Gen
Amo gets a lot of hate but I loved it
was hanging with shawty so i missed this when it dropped, but yo bro awesome to see u covering stuff outside of hip hop, keep cookin
Bring back Jona
It's funny how personal it can be to just unfollow someone on ig😂
God is with yall
bring me the horizon is doomed without Jordan. as a fan I hate to admit it
Olis jordan fishd out,and after he has turned architects into his formulaic puppet, me too ol, me too.
Amo is essential to get to Post Human Survival Horror
Aaaaaand their first record without Jordan was terrible
me when i lie
Meth, smoke less of it
He wrote and produced a good chunk of it
Amo ruled.
Special, but their weakest work without a doubt
