I was at this game. My brother played for Penn State 1995-1997 and still had many friends on the team. We’re from Houston so we were excited to be at that game.
Thank you for posting this classic. I remember watching with my parents and it was a nice finishing touch after the bittersweet regular season. Funny I just randomly thought of this game and I see you uploaded it just two weeks ago. Take care.
This is actually the first time I ever watched this game. As a kid I remember being so hurt and upset losing the last 3 games that I didnt watch it live. I'm not sure why I never went back and watched it later.
Say what you will, but whatever happened in that case, I dont believe his son Matt for one second and his claims for abuse. Was a supporter for his dad Jerry 100% of the time including the trial then flipped in the middle of it when he saw his meal ticket was leaving. Matt was a troubled soul and if he really believed his father abused him, then he would have never allowed his kids to continue to see Jerry while he was imprisoned waiting for trial. Also Allan Myers, that "kid" in the McQueary episode (which where the charges were dropped) went into Joe Amendola's office (Sandusky's attorney) the day after Paterno was fired, saying "I was the boy in the shower, and McQueary is a liar and I was never abused in the shower that night or ever by Jerry" That's why prosecutors didnt want Victim 2 to be brought in the trial and labeled him as "known only to God" because they knew he would have to be cross examined and under oath about his on the record statement with Amendola. Also, Matt tried to get his other siblings to jump ship with him because he didnt want to do it alone for his track record of arson amongst many other things and being a habitual liar. Matt nevertheless saw the opportunity, was able to pull it off. Started a scam charity organization "Peaceful Hearts" thats was suppose to raise awareness for child sex abuse victims no longer updates on social media, His last facebook post was for his organization was in 2016, his organization's twitter is no longer active and close. His meal ticket of being a "victim" no longer pays and his appearances are at conferences and events are dwindling and the last time he had one was almost two years ago, out of state. He wont do one in Pennsylvania because those closest to him know he's lying. Even those people who are detractors of Jerry, don't believe Matt.
Agree 100%. It's clear "Victim 1" was lying through his teeth as well, any interview without his Mommy to coach him (you know the one who started the whole thing just so she could get a few dollars). May God be righteous is his final judgments, whatever they may be.
@@stinkingofyou3069 That trial was a joke. Sandusky was acquitted of the charges that would have had any link to the University. Joe Paterno and the 3 guys from PSU can be added to the list of victims...
Joe Paterno was the true victim and hopefully those that did this to him will suffer eternal damnation. In 2015 all of Penn State's and Paterno's victories were reinstated mainly due to prosecutorial misconduct by FBI director Louis Freeh. Many of those charged had their sentences either dropped or greatly reduced. It was ruled Louis Freeh violated the accused of due process it was also found that contrary to the charges it was Paterno that tried to get to the truth. Joe Paterno was a true hero and mentor and I always knew that he was gracious man in victory or a rare defeat.

Such a great season, with so much potential that just fell flat in the end. I remember it well also.
A prissy, "only if they win" fair weather "fan.." typical of our "off base" "fan" base.
This was the first college game I ever attended. I can’t believe this was 22 years ago!
My wife won tickets at work for this game. Both of us being from PA, living in SA, we were there. We felt so bad for TX
Thank you for cutting out the end where they lifted up the demon in human form.
For sure, 100%

That 1999 season just irritates me.
Awsome front seven on defense, very average db's and the QB's and offense were very average that year.
That 1999 PSU defense would have game 99 Florida state a run for its money in that natty game.
Idk man my Noles were rocking that year
As far as Nittany D vs Noles Offense, it would have been a good battle but Noles D would've made confetti out of Casey & Co.
Psu was no joke
Casey should've been the qb all season.
Thompson threw the td pass to Fields that saved the Miami game. We would have lost without Thompson's perfect throw to Fields.
No way, Casey was terrible that season and in 2000.
Thompson wasnt very good either but he did win that Miami game.
Ooo
