Vicks dropback and throwing motion was a thing of beauty
Until you saw where the ball landed...
@@yepdontcarebudVick was an elite passer
@4thAndGoalSports 🤣🤣🤣 yeah you never watched him play. He admits himself that he couldn't read a defense to save his life, and anyone who watched him knows his accuracy was God awful.
You don't have a career 56% completion percentage by happenstance. And he eclipsed 3000 yards passing twice in his career, and BARELY in each of those years. In his career with the falcons he had a QB rating of like 70...
Elite passer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@yepdontcarebuddamn for a man that didn't watch any film I think he was very good at playing quarterback! You are just talking bull probably because you're dogs licking you in the mouth clown!!
Both statements are correct. His insane natural talent allowed him to make elite QB throws. But lack of preparation or concentration would cause him to blow easy routine passes. Add in the fact that he always missed time due to injury and you get a player that had flashes but was never able to be great consistently.
If Vick had Andy Reid since the beginning of his career it would have been completely different his running was amazing but people forget this guy had arm talent like no other
Maybe, but he would've had to have disassociated from the hoodrats in "Bad News" (Newport News, one of the roughest mid-sized urban places in the United States), which he didn't seem able or willing to do. In the end, Michael Vick undid Michael Vick. At least he seems to have redeemed himself somewhat in recent years and still did better than his full-blooded criminal brother, Marcus.
No.
If Vock cares about being a Professional QB more? He would have been fine. He was a different man by the time he got to Philly.
He readily admitted he was professional, didn't put the time in
Very disingenuous of you to trash ATL coaches when you know damn well Vick was the problem earlier in his career
@@rgtunderworldrgt7773he wasn’t winning big either in atl Super Bowl aspirations def matures players
@@vinnydeville4675
Well said
Nah. The difference was his change in attitude after prison. It was night and day difference. But the best coaches he ever had was Dan Reeves and Andy. Dan Reeves understood Vick and let him be himself. Jim Mora tried to force him to run a traditional offense. It was unfortunate that Arthur Blank fired Reeves over a petty dispute. But it was mainly the change within Vick. If he had his head on straight in ATL it would have been a whole different story.
Vick was never scared to take a hit. One of a kind. There will never be another.
It’s jus something about Vick that I haven’t seen since..When he played you could literally feel the electricity..🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️💯💯💪🏿💪🏿..Stay blessed everyone...
Sherm Ham best college player I ever saw
Edward Rivera the most electrifying player I have ever seen..
@@shermham2384 I was going to agree with you until I seen hester play
Back then it was rare to see a black qb especially a qb of Vicks caliber. Now a days every black qb wants to b the next vick but defense know more about scheming against a guy like vick or cam Newtown ect
Radza Martin Hester was exciting but have u ever heard of Dante hall he was Hester b4 Hester there was never a Vick b4 Vick I like the Randall Cunningham comparisons but if we’re being honest he had nowhere near the speed Vick had
No matter how you feel about Vick everyone must admit this one of the greatest college performances of all time.
Without a doubt!
and no matter how you feel he hung, electrocuted and drowned dogs while they kicked their leggs and struggled for life. ASS HOLE!!!
@@starcastleLomitas A crime which he paid for.
And the pros and he had a cannon arm and left handed! I played corner back and i can only imagine how hard it was to deal with him!

Vick was so ridiculously awesome in this game, nobody cared that V Tech lost! All the talk was how amazing Vick played. Can't wait till next season!
You speaking big facts
30 yr old Weinke hung 50 on Tech in a blowout.
No offense but stupid video. QBs?Only 1 thing matters. WINS
@1018miamidrive Tech got destroyed. By a 30 yr old QB. Lol. Game was NEVER in doubt. Who cares if Vick danced around. VTECH LOST!
More people remember vick for this game than anything FSU or their QB did. Just the truth. That's rare for a team losing in a championship
I am a Cane Fan.
We had to respect M.V & V.T
Vick earned his respect 👑
Human cheat code. Greatest dual purpose qb ever
Jackson's already breaking his records in year 2 so he might have some competition sneaking up on him
@@bertoa1587 you deadass right now? His arm isn't comparable
@@christiankramer3008 love seeing you whiners cry keep it coming🤣
@J Jaxon89 by your reasoning JaMarcus Russell was the best qb ever lmao what a tard
@@bertoa1587 the league is watered down. Defense's you see now dont remotely resemble anything you saw when vick got in the league. Just look at how many 5000 yard passers you see now. For 20 years it was only marino. When vick and brady came of age that was the height of the nfl now it's trending downwards
I remember watching this game as a kid. It was on the night before Christmas break ended that yr. I cried like a bitch when we lost! It felt like everyone in VA at that time was a Tech fan. Definitely not the same now.. Thanks for the memories Vick & Beamer!
I remember this game like it was yesterday. No one had ever seen anything like Vick. What a spectacular performance.
BESIDES, Tommie Frazier and Major Harris
@@moggingmaster Neither of those guys were like VICK!
He'd be a perennial MVP if he were drafted into today's NFL. His talents make all these other dual-threat QBs second rate and third rate.*
When he got drafted, everyone wanted to turn him into Steve Young. Thankfully, times have changed.
*Except for Newton
You are exactly right! They wanted to turn him into a pocket passer and it just took away from what he could have been. Atlanta had so much invested in him and they understandably limited him.
No tf he would not lmao dude couldn't hit water from a boat. Or read a defense to save his life.
MVP? Vick was very inaccurate and turned the ball over to much to be an MVP.
I love vick but my #noles brought the trophy home 🙏🏽💪🏽
Redd Dolla hell yea and my SOONER’S brought it home the next year
@@jamesgeier4642 I do
The most underrated thing that has changed In the last 20 years in college football you ask? The jerseys, definitely the jerseys!
I was inspired watching this performance back in the day
@ 4:55 "And have you ever...seen anything thing like this?"
My response: Yes. Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson, but it doesn't happen often. You're seeing one of the most athletically gifted people in human history
mserth22 and Barry Sanders. But never at QB
Herschel Walker!
That drop back, plant and slide into the pocket tho!!
Remember like it was yesterday, I immediately became a fan!
Nobody:
Commentator: HAHA gobble gobble my friend.
I was a kid wasn’t no UA-cam lol had to be glued to the tv just never kno what Vick might do when he drop back I just wanted him to run lol ….crazy how UA-cam really a time machine
Great calls by the coach, recognizing the qb spy and screening to the fullback back side
The A.I. of football.💪💪💪
My favorite athlete of all time! His ppl took
That charge for him he have atleast one ring maybe 3!
Vick was cold but this game was the Peter Warrick show tbh
Naw. This game played a part in Vicks #1 overall draft pick. It was a showcase
FACTS !!
True
F.S.U team was the story Lil Pete lasted 1 or 2 years in the league lol overrated
THEBiggest Hater smh whats wrong with yall, Vick was 19 bruh, Peter Warrick was a man smh MV7
This wasn't the game that started Vick madness. The beginning of Vick madness was his first college game against James Madison, when he had 3 rushing TDs in one quarter, including the legendary rushing TD when he did a front flip into the end zone and landed on his feet (sort of). Google it. Also, real Vick fans remember the first time Vick met up with Heisman winner Chris Weinke in the NFL (Atlanta vs Carolina) and Atlanta beat them something like 35-0(?). That was revenge for the Heisman going to Weinke, when everyone knows it should have gone to Vick. Loved Vick. He never got to fulfill his potential in the NFL but few players have revolutionized the game the way the did at the QB position.
I'm Bama born and bred but I will pull for the underdog. V Tech was Def out of their league but as a fan of college football Vick Def left a mark n put football fans everywhere on notice. My God this dude was exciting to watch.
Forgot how well Vick played because bobby Bowdens teams at fsu were dominant 💯
Dude was simply amazing
I remember crying after they lost this game lol he had no chance against Florida but he gave us a show
This title is off, Mike Vick madness was going HAM well before this game.
I was at FSU during the Weinke teams, they were ridiculously stacked.
I remember Vick was knocking our defenders out of the game by juking them out so badly they tore acl’s and mcl’s.
Was it the dude Tommy Polley who got it bad?
I was lucky enough to attend nearly every one of his home games, no one like him! Everyone still goes nuts when he visits tech! GO HOKIES!!!!
One of THE cleanest and most elegant throwing motions ever.
Damn, our FB was dope!
2 playoff victories for an amazing game changing athlete lol this comes down to you'd rather look good losing than look bad winning
I was there. Vick was scary good. Peter Warwick saved the day
27 year old college quarterback lol nothing like the old times
Vick looks like he's jogging a 4.5 on a 40 yard dash
4.2
He had the most effortless cannon of a arm I ever seen mf throw 60 yards flicking the ball look like
Michael Vick was the most athletic and entertaining QB I've ever seen. Randall Cunningham was pretty cool to watch as well. But Vick was something else. And I do believe he had a stronger arm than Favre. He slung that ball so effortlessly.
Saw this when it happened, as a FSU. We had NOTHIN for that boy. 😂
Legend has it that the Seminole defense is still chasing after Mike!😂 I loved FSU back in the day, but it was hard not rooting for Vick.
#7 Da Legend
The man was unbelievable! Running 1st round NFL talent around for 3 quarters!!
I miss Vick 💯
He was a star way before this game.
#42 look like Bobby bushae😂😂😂
Vick madness started long before this!!!! But I get it though, NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT!!!!!
No One Could Run Like VICK. No One Had An Arm Like VICK Either.
Mike Vick and Reggie Bush were the best two ever
So god damn fast.
I wish I knew guys were 27 years old in college football smh. When I finally got there and found out these were grown ass men I was playing against, I was like wtf?
He was a DAWG
Vick was the best college qb I ever saw
Virginia tech football should be indebted to him and his family for all their contributions to the university
Da allen iverson of football
"The natural":football edition. Moss,too.
The game that made you forget about Peter Warrick.
Warrick was THAT DUDE for those old enough to remember. I was 22 at the time.
Vick made Warrick look average and slow.
6:06 Mark Richt sighting.
East Bradenton’s own Peter Warwick was on the other sideline that night unfortunately for Vick .
I was looking at the score board the whole time. They were down all game.
Vick was that good as a freshman. U see how effortless he threw the long ball. Just looks too easy. The speed was crazy.
27 in college is wild😭
I like Vick style and athleticism. But do anyone remember Major Harris WVU?
yup I remember. Before Vick, Young, Kaepernick was Major Harris. He was like a Vick 1.5. His NFL career just never even sprouted because he quickly eventually went to the CFL and just downwards from there and being a backup for Doug flutie for a time just made him invisible
Yes I thought he was the next Randall Cunningham in the '00s
New Orleans LA my city
Was this the game where like 3 FSU defender tore their ACL?
This dude was 27 😂
And got blown out
0:15 27 year old? I thought it was a college game!
Hall of Fame - Please Indict him in the NFL Hall of Fame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only reason FSU won is cause Vick ran out of gas
Nah VT defense just could not stop anyone that night
His battery ran down in the 4th quarter.
FSU had a better balance between defense and offense, Virginia Tech defense was not as strong as it was three years later. Vick was literally the only thing that kept them in games. Weinke was 27 and played professional sports before coming to FSU. He had help around him like Peter Warwick and Laveranues Coles, Dan Kendra, Travis Minor, Ron Dugan's, Anquan Boldin and Janikowski as a kicker. All Vick had was Nick Sorenson! Fuller, Wilford, Deangelo Hall and Kevin Jones didn't come to after Vick decided to go pro. If he waited one more year, he would've had a better team.
What’s with FSU being the school these legendary scramble QBs break out against. Lamar did the same thing, except he won his.
That college football qb was 27. Or qas that a typo
Lmao why does he drop back so aggressively
I Can't believe we lost this game. How? Why?
Bobby Bowden out coached Frank Beamer.
Let's get thos pit bulls in a ring.
Why was he 27 years old in College what the fuck!!
27 year old vs a 19 year 😮
When Vick has the ball defense looks like they're chasing a chicken.
*The Michael Vick Show*
How many times will they jump offsides?
VIRGINIA TECH Is The Best Place To Play. Come To VIRGINIA TECH.
Vicks arm strength is incredible. Looks so easy for him
Still my all time favorite QB. He was the most phenomenal.......electric!💯🔥👍🏿
Typical.
@@abidesthedood3490 What do you mean......?? Typical??
Vick was as generational of an athletic talent as Deion, IMO.
Him and Randall...and Dan.
I remember watching this. After the final seconds ticked off the clock, the FSU defensive players sought Vick out, showed him love and gave him his props for giving them nothing but fits that night. That's RESPECT from one man to another.
yeah he was reverred by everyone regardless of them losing because he was a phenomena to watch
he made me very nervous that night. considering the game Peter Warrick had but Vick outshined him says a lot.
Yeah, I'd be curious how those same guys would have acted if VT managed to win this game. Not sure FSU would have been so respectful then. They were known as the "Criminoles" during this era for a reason.
@@jmill3147well Vick was a criminal too so that explains the attraction.😂
Anyone else think that he said wondercoon
That defensive lineman jumped offsides and still couldn’t sack him. 😂
Exactly. I was thinking the same thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼
The goat
🤣😂
People gotta remember back at that time QBs were statues. You had a few wideouts and running backs with that speed but a QB with tight spiral laser arm cannon plus can make a 4.4 CB look like he runs a 5.4 was unheard of. That's what made Vick so polarizing
Exactly. He changed the game.
@Joe Turner fair point. Tommie Frazier was nice but nobody ever mistook him for a QB with an arm or known for an arm 🤣 he was the best option QB there was. But Vick could do both fr
@Joe Turner true shit. Nobody is ever gonna forget that long one in the 95 national championship game. Biggest stage 💪
Oh he was electric but we definitely starting seeing less statuesque quarterbacks. Yea Brett Favre was without a doubt a statue but Steve Young definitely was not.
QBs were better*
Is nobody going to talk about how the other QB is damn near 30
Lmao right
Boogie Cousins back then that was a huge story,he won the national championship got drafted and busted hard in the NFL
Yeah the FSU qb played baseball got $. Was still eligible to comeback and play college football after he didn't make it in MLB.
Baseball star!!
Chris wienke
And to hear Skip Bayless say Kyler Murray is faster than Vick in college is a FREAKING JOKE!!!!!!
dfdjif facts
Skip thinks Dak is better than Russell Wilson 😂 his thoughts carry no weight
Michael vick was pretty fast but when u compare him to.other qb's his elusiveness was better than others.
These QB's today wont even run the 40 to say they were faster. Idc what the reason is if I'm a scrambling QB I'm running the 40 just to beat Vick's time.
Kyler Murray is a joke and so is Skip. Kyler is a inaccurate, slightly faster Drew Brees with worse decision making skills. He’ll be irrelevant in 5 years
Loved his athleticism & release. Never seen anyone with a wrist flick like that
Look at the flick of wrist!🎶🎵
Flick of the wrist and can launch it 70+ yards. Made it look so damn easy too. Best and prettiest deep ball I have ever seen
Randal Cunningham hat wrist too
💯
All just to hit the ground 15 yards past the reciever
I rocked with Vick hard. And he's scarred me for life. I became an Atlanta fan when he was drafted, stayed on the bus when he left... and I continue to be disappointed lol. But this is about Vick.... dude was a straight monster
It’s okay brother maybe one day Arthur blank will get sick of losing with my matty ice cold and we will get a good Qb and maybe a healthy defense and then maybe just maybe we can stop thinking of the devastating loss to the patriots in the super Bowl. Rise up!
Michael Vick was a 🏈 of Usaine Bolt 🔩
No Superbowl rings but vick is one of the best to ever touch the field! #legend
