Three weeks ago I was talking to a friend and Jasper Carrot's name came up. Some time ago my friend had partnered Jasper during a celebrity/amateur charity golf match. After the game they sat down and had a few drinks, and my friend stated that Jasper proved be a really top bloke. Coincidentally, my friend was plagued by moles on his, usually, pristine lawn. He used traps and all manner of things to get rid of them. In the end, a badger started digging his lawn up for worms and the moles cleared off. He is a bit of a wildlfie magnet, as he also had bats roosting in his garage. It was a bit of a worry when he was trying to sell the house.

I remember this too, the mole had me roaring with laughter and like you recall it went out live one evening and to prove it Carrott had a tv to show what was on the other channels and dared you to turn over and check it... I did.. other sketches and tales were funny but this was my favourite by far.
There's never as miniture black panther around when you need one! (I suppose he could call the SAS, and ask if they use one as a regimental mascot, and if they have, could he hire it for an afternoon?)🤭
His Mole story helped me deal with a Rat in 2020, my late sister who was living with me believed it to be a large mouse and was feeding it Raspberries "Un be known to me" I live in a wildlife conservation area so poison is illegal, I tried everything known to man but the little shit defied everything so I thought last resort get the Jack Russell out one night, well that was a futile effort as he spotted Ratty and shot back indoors at 90mph and hid under his blanket JRT indeed, so back to square one, armed meself with my shot gun (Yes I have a licence) head torch on and waited around 3 a.m. up pops Ratty, you guessed it "BOOM" not only did I wake the whole neighbourhood up within a 10 mile radius I also shot a feck off big hole in the fence but I got the little sod, 15 minutes later I hear blue lights sirens, yep Police arrived and basically asked what the fluff I was doing my reply was "Rat, here's my licence" they left after saying try an be a bit quieter next time Yer right have ya ever tried to keep a 12 bore quiet obviously NOT, strange enough never had a rat problem since. Hope you enjoyed a real life story inspired in a way by JC
So the question now is have all of his rat mates given up and relocated to somewhere with lower calibre opposition or are they simply being thorough at planning the counter-offensive....
Only one way to get rid of a mole - petrol generator with the exhaust going down a pipe into the hole and filled over to seal it up - useds a cheap 2 stroke engined one and it was funnier than carrot lol - grey smoke coming up for 1/4 mile down the side of the road , out of every mole hill as far as i could see then the neighbours plants started moving around , little bleeder tried to make a run for it and came out from under her plants but it was a gonna ....
