Watch out Scott Jurek, here comes Johnathan Zaharek, EPIC job on this Pemi Loop. I finished my NH48 on Bond Cliff, my favorite peak. It is the center of the universe-so to speak. I managed it as an overnight. I am looking forward to finishing my ADK 46 this fall , 10 left.
This one is something I'm watching, because, it's my favorite hike. It's almost warm enough to do, with the gear I can carry, at my age. It's so beautiful, but, as you get older, it doesn't get easier. Be careful, when attempting it. In the Whites, a weather radio is your best friend. I carry extra ponchos, for those who don't know how dangerous it can be.
Congratulations, what you did is truly special and I totally understand your emotions at the end. I have hiked that area a lot and did the standard loop last October and it felt great. You were much faster than I could ever imagine doing such a hike. It took me two and half days and two nights. Thanks for taking the time to video it and sharing your experience, it was truly wonderful to watch. I am well into my 60s and plan on hiking the Whites for a long as I can. Next trip is coming up soon in May. Take care
Dude you are freaking amazing.... so humble.... so dedicated..... so fun to watch. As a 54 year old slightly slothful makes who is trying to get into living shape you are the greatest of inspirations. You show me places that mean so much to me that I could only dream of going.... enjoy every minute of your youth while you can and keep on bringing the views! You’re an amazing kid!
I did Lafayette and Lincoln on Monday. Trails are very well-kept, but the elevations are insane (compared to the ADK). Now that I'm going for the NE111, I wish I did your hike instead and bagged more peaks.
Hey Jonathan, I just recently did the Presidential Traverse (in addition to Jackson) over 2 days and figured that this was the next logical New Hampshire Hike to get a lot of 4000s in. This was the first video I came across regarding the hike and first one of yours. WOW. Great video but what impressed me most is your physical and mental fitness. Super Pemi in one day!?!? Unreal. Congratulations. What made you decide to do it in a clockwise fashion instead of counter clockwise? Better for water if you're doing it in a day? I plan on doing this route over 2 days. Would possibly consider 3. Lastly, I was curious about your last name and found this: Zahorek Family History Czech (Zahořík): topographic name for someone who lived 'over the mountain', from za 'beyond, on the other side of' + hora 'hill' + the diminutive suffix -ik. Couldn't have had a more appropriate last name :P. Keep it up man. Once again, wonderful video. Cheers.
If you wanna come bang out some more big traverses in whites, hit me up, I highly suggest wildcat, carter moriah traverse one day, it's a good ole fashioned beat down
Jonathan, I felt that visceral emotion at the end back in the parking lot with you. Your dedication, perseverance, and fortitude to complete these hikes not just for yourself, but for everyone else permeates in your content. Hands down my favorite channel on UA-cam. Thank you for your journey brother. You're going to crush the FKT
Thank you for your art ! You make a living doing what you love to do & that means you'll never work a day in your life! Not that hiking up mountains isn't work ! Lol. I grew up in the southern tier of upstate NY going to the ADK every summer with Family. My best childhood memories are up there! My Dad was 55 when I was born. So he couldn't climb much after 60 with bad knees & hips. He could only do MT. Joe. I love the Adirondack Lodge !! I love seeing the summit's of all these mountains I never have been to. Can't thank ya enough ! Great work!
Great to see you in the Whites. They have been my go-to place for major Northeast hiking and did that loop about 10 years ago (and an overnight version 2 years ago) so it was great to see you there with mostly decent weather. I credit you and Brian for prompting me to discover the spectacular beauty of the ADKs.
Dude you're awesome! My first trip to the whites was the Franconia Ridge and it was just memorable! Good luck on the FKT challenge and keep pushing boundaries, it's inspiring.
I’m considering day hiking this but don’t know if I’m fit enough. I hike almost weekly and have done more strenuous and decently long hikes (11 miles) in Maine without difficulty. Do you think I could manage? I would start hiking at around 4 probably so I’d have lots of time.
You are the man! Praying for you and know you are going to keep killing it! Keep up the good work ! The Lord is your strength... and your training lol Emotional ending man - understood - love your videos- watch them before every high peak we ( wife and I)do! As well as tell everyone about your hiking videos
YOU SIR ARE A MAD MAN! This rout is something I've been looking at and clearly epic! Last year I did a similar thing with linking the Davis path with the Presidential traverse and it was amazing. Glad to see you branch out to the Whites, Its an awesome playground. Love your videos man and they just keep getting better. Cheers bud!
Congrats brother! You crushed it! Beautiful job on the video. Epic experiences definitely cause epic emotions! 27 minutes!!! That’s long for you Hahahah.. it’s hard to make 40 miles and 14 mountains short!
hi, I started watching your hiking videos, they are awesome...the views scenery and views from the mountain tops are spectacular...keep up the great work....
Awesome. Keep a pair of mechanic gloves or something similar in your pack. They come in handy on descent sometimes. I’ve yet to hike in the White Mts. This is inspirational. It’s beautiful. Trails look in great shape. Again awesome.. 👌🏼
Enjoyed your White Mtns video-after watching each of your ~Dack 46er videos. 30 years ago I discovered the 46`ers while climbing Algonquin in January; it`s the day I became a mountaineer. I`m going to revisit the ~Dacks, and will look you up. Iceager76 aka Bob Baker
Loved this video! The White Mtns look so beautiful, congrats! It's awesome seeing what you've accomplished and how much it means to you. I always look forward to your videos! I'm slowly but surely hiking more of the Adirondacks working my way up to the high peaks and it really does get emotional.
I spend a fair amount of time in the woods in the northeast. I can’t imagine the extra work it is to document the trips the way you do to share with others. Hopefully more people catch the bug to go on an adventure from these.
How would you compare the Whites vs the Adirondack 46ers? Btw, sometime in the next several months I`ll stop by to meet you; I may relocate to Saranac Lake. Iceager76
Killer man! I’m impressed! Did this two weeks ago in two days and one morning and it was pretty brutal. It’s on my channel if you want to check it out🙏 kudos for this accomplishment🤘 keep it up!
It seems like he did stop and enjoy the hike from what I could see. I think he is just so fit he is moving much faster than most of us are capable of going. I am an avid backpacker and if I could move like him I would.

Epic day man.
Wow this was such a beautiful video. So good!
I'm always so grateful to have this wilderness out my door. I love when others are in awe by the humbling, rugged beauty of the loop.

Fantastic hike in the Whites!! Looking forward to more videos. Iceager76
Hi Jonathan. Living in Canada, I really miss the mountains of the NE, Thanks for nice videos, just waiting to go back !
Awesome!
That is a wild pace and time to complete that loop. Unreal.
Glad you’re in the Whites
Next: try the Mahoosics
Awesome to see that you are so passionate about this
Sick video! First I've seen of you. Would love to see you out in the whites more!
You were on the AT for 14 miles before you noticed 😆
I did Lafayette and Lincoln on Monday. Trails are very well-kept, but the elevations are insane (compared to the ADK). Now that I'm going for the NE111, I wish I did your hike instead and bagged more peaks.

This was the best Pemi loop video I’ve seen thus far. Thanks for taking the time to explain so well and keeping the quality of the video so stellar.
This video earned you a follow, unreal & legit!! Congrats
If you wanna come bang out some more big traverses in whites, hit me up, I highly suggest wildcat, carter moriah traverse one day, it's a good ole fashioned beat down

That was an amazing video and an even more amazing accomplishment! Very inspirational! Proud of you. Let's get that FKT!!!
Amazing!!! I was the guy in the white shirt on liberty (brother of the guy who recognised you). Glad you got the 'l's right in the final cut lol
Get that 115 done and documented!
Love to see different content, the white mountains are amazing.
You are the man! Praying for you and know you are going to keep killing it! Keep up the good work ! The Lord is your strength... and your training lol

Insane hike dude! Took me 9 hrs. Just to do Big Slide😕
You really put your heart and soul into this, and it shows, Jonathan. Beautiful work! Enjoy the journey.
Love it Bother! you inspire!
Wow this actually made me so emotional when you were choked up at the end! Incredible video and physical ability, thanks!!
How do the trail conditions compare to those in the Adirondack 46ers?
hi, I started watching your hiking videos, they are awesome...the views scenery and views from the mountain tops are spectacular...keep up the great work....
Hope to see you on some trail sometime! Great video
Impressive! Three times I've tried a GRT but haven't been able to. But I'm probably 2x your age lol. Love your videos!

Amazing! Definitely hope to do the NH 4000 footers some day!
What kind of camera are you using?
I will be up in the High Peaks from August 2nd-7th, maybe I will run into you!
Loved this video! The White Mtns look so beautiful, congrats! It's awesome seeing what you've accomplished and how much it means to you. I always look forward to your videos! I'm slowly but surely hiking more of the Adirondacks working my way up to the high peaks and it really does get emotional.
Wait the last 8 miles was 45 mins?
Awesome video! Was it steep going down the bond cliffs, because it looked like it from west bond?
I spend a fair amount of time in the woods in the northeast. I can’t imagine the extra work it is to document the trips the way you do to share with others. Hopefully more people catch the bug to go on an adventure from these.
Where did you get that shirt in the into? So sick

You go from uploading once or twice a month to two videos in 3 days! LOL

Did you enjoy any of it or was all about how fast and how many? Next time enjoy what is around you!
It seems like he did stop and enjoy the hike from what I could see. I think he is just so fit he is moving much faster than most of us are capable of going. I am an avid backpacker and if I could move like him I would.
I love how dedicated you are to this! Keep on hiking and hopefully I will run in to you on the Adk trails one of these days :)
Beautiful footage broski 👌
Btw, its pronounced "GEE-OAT" but you were close though 😄
