My mother glanced back at me, expecting a sleeping baby. No. I was awake, eyes big as dinner plates, staring at the screen as this music filled our senses. They didn't close til the movie's finale. That's my first memory.

I think what impresses me most about this soundtrack is that I remember the exact moment, day and time I first heard/watched Batman. The epic music echoes like some of the great music by John Williams for the original trilogy of Star Wars; to the opening track of of building excitement to the deep melancholy to the masquerade ball to the intense impact of sudden clash of musical brutality as the score reaches its climax-ending with an inspirational score like the original Superman leaving one with anticipation and hope for the future. This soundtrack is one of the greatest of all time; not just for super hero genre but to me it is a musical masterpiece-- Mr. Elfman music still inspires us to this day.
