Best Batman theme ever!!!
yes
I was going to say that, but you already did so...I agree!
I would say that Shirley's Batman the animated series is right there with this one
Actually... Batman Arkham knight is
No doubt this is a good theme tho
If you heard this batman theme when you were young, then your childhood was AWESOME and EPIC!
Yes
I was born into it
I remember they used the 3:38 segment for Batman and Robin trailer.
I am a child and I seen this movie and the sequel to this
I have vivid memories of being 4 years old, wearing a blanket around my neck, and grabbing my dad by the collar of his shirt and going "I'm Batman" before jumping off the back of the couch. This movie was my freaking childhood!
I am Vengeance.
I am the Night.
I am Batman.
Arkham
^ It was said on the animated series, long before the Arkham games
hears Kevin conroy
superlarry54 same that scene popped up in my head as soon as I saw the comment
superlarry54 bruh same!!
1:21 Every time you beat a LEGO Batman level
True lol😂
AidenVids LEGO Batman 1 and 2 lol
Boi Test me 1st is best tho
The Nostalgia
those were the days
For me the definitive BATMAN theme
Damn right!
For me this and the BTAS theme
The animated series was pretty spot on.... Interchangeable for me.
tvu86 Danny made the first BTAS theme
This ,BTAS AND Mask of the Phantasm
31 years later & i still get goosebumps.
Same with me
Gives me chills just like the first time I heard it in theaters
Respect ❤️
legit
Wow. It's been so long. Best batman theme ever.
3:55 "Jack? Jack is dead my friend. But you can call me, JOKER. And as you can see...im a lot HAPPIER!"
-Jack Nicholson (Batman 1989)
Wasn’t the character he played called joe summit? I forgot
@@gingerpaul5702 No, he was called Jack Napier before being reborn as Joker. In the Nolan films Bruce Wayne's parents were killed by a gangster runner called Joe Chill. I've personally always liked the symmetry of the Joker being responsible for Batman - and Batman being responsible for Napier's transformation.
Qqqheheheheee
@@MikeyMUnited In the batman the animated series episode "Joker's Wild" it's revealed that the Joker's real name is Jack Napier as a nod to Jack Nicolson's portrayal of the Joker from 1989.
@@SpaceWizardCosplay Nice, I need to re-watch that series. I hear it's on blu ray now.
The great thing about Elfman's Batman theme is it incorporates all the elements of Batman....
the sadness (at his parents' death), the heroic, and scaring the absolute crap out of the bad guys.
_"Criiminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot."_
@@hellacoorinna9995 No subsequent Batman theme music has come close. Hans ZImmer's for Christian Bale's was fair, but nothing great.
Yup
I'm honestly torn between this one and the new Michael giacchino theme regarding which is stronger
@@asafakiva1619 He also did a good job revamping the Star Trek theme for 2009 Chris Pine movie.
It incorporates a full 45 seconds of Bernard Hermann’s soundtrack to Journey to the Center of the Earth.
-I'm not going to kill you, I just want you tell your friends about me
-What are you...!?!
I'M BATMAN
I'm Deadpool.
"What are you?"
Don’t kill me man don’t kill me
I’m Bruce Wayne
I’m Phil Swift, here with flex tape
This IS Batman's theme. No matter what anyone says
I am a 37 year old woman and this gives me goosebumps. Here is my entire childhood in a musical piece. And, yes, girls LOVE Batman the most! 🦇💖💖💖💖💖
@@adamgoncalves1591 cry about it.
@@ltme4134 everytime I need a good cry this is the video I come too. I get so hyped and emotional. Just the sound of your savior coming to resume you. Hes coming in hard and fast and he's gonna fuck shit up. Lol
So you're saying girls love Batman more than boys? Bit sexist (and totally untrue)
I had a suspicion that girls love the Bat more than the blue boy scout. Suspicion confirmed.😊
I HATE YOU
Magnificent , the main conductor looks like Alfred
Which Alfred?
I'd say Michael Gough, appropriately enough.
The great Michael Gough
If he had different glasses, haircut and been a bit older. It would be really convincing lookalike
The conductor is the composer himself, Danny Elfman. The legend.
THE NOSTALGIA IS KILLING ME!!!!!
Even me a 12 year old has nostalgia for this
Keaton in Flash 2023 is amazing !!!
Gives me chills whenever I hear it but still my favorite.
Amanda Zamora me too. I can't help it.
Same here.I still have chills everytime i listen to this score.
Agreed
I don't understand your comment.
Did you mean to say but?
The 90s was the best era to be a kid 🙌🏾
It's 1989 batman
The finale song in the end at 6:20 gave me goosebumps. Danny Elfman is the man.
ALWAYS!!!
Beautiful.
I was 4 when Batman 1989 was rolled out.....this will always be Batman’s theme for me. To this day just hearing this gives me chills, I feel unstoppable when I listen to this.
i grow with Batman returns theme, Is amazing!!!
Same
We're the same age. I'm super excited to see Michael Keaton return as Batman. Hopefully this score will feature in his return.
Same :)
@@Daniel-xg3ulIt sucked hard LMAO
I don't care how many movies with different composers they do, this will always be the definitive theme to my ears.
How the hell did that not receive a standing ovation??? That was the most EPIC & LEGENDARY performance ever!!! Long live Danny Elfman and Batman!
The standing ovating will take place at the finale of the show ua-cam.com/video/Gkc0Ogf29pQ/v-deo.html - even with the BATMAN theme.
Every time a new Batman soundtrack comes out I say to myself "this is definitively the best batman song I ever heard" ...and then I get to hear this track again and I immediately think to myself..."what was I thinking about?!"
bruh it's not a batman song its just a batman theme
Danny Elfman is a pure musical genius
He really is. No doubt. This is such a brilliant masterpiece.
I AM VENGEANCE! I AM THE KNIGHT! I.. AM.. BATMAN!!!
Taurus Guy well he’s not Kevin but he inspired Kevin
Isn't it " I am the night" and not " I am the knight"?
Nicolas Marinier you’re correct sir
AND I M THE ARKHAM KNIGHT
🦇 YES YOU ARE 🦇
0:00 Main Titles
2:59 Descent into Mystery
3:55 Waltz to the Death
5:05 Birth of the Penguin
5:55 Finale
You see, the Joker's waltz part DOES put a smile on everyone's face.
watch Keaton in the Flash yesterday, my childhood hero 😢😢😢
That transition at 2:59.....just phenomenal
3:00 is EPIC
Danny Elfman literally created a scene out of a song
Descent Into Mystery is one of my favourites!
Not the long version.. 😢
Shut up kids, this is the best Batman Theme so far
Batman = Darkness. 0:58 he's coming
#goosebumps
Best comment ever!!!
Kids reading this comment: REEEEEEEEEE
Me: SHUT UP!!

One of the most satisfying theme drops
This theme really brings out a Batman Hidden inside us.
Or joker
I like how everyone on stage can't help but smile when they start playing the joker theme. Me too, I don't know what it is, it just makes you smile.
The smile on the artists face on stage where a result to an very short applause by people who thought the music was over.
In the televison-broadcast the sound was "cleaned from applause at the wrong moment".
The further more ongoing smile is related to play an waltz. Vienna is very popular in the world for creating so much waltz in the past. So the orchestra played a lot of waltz around the week - and they have a apecial relationship to that too.
But nevertheless the orchestra visible has joy to play the music at all - even / because as a waltz is somewhere hidden there.
Shows what a genius Elfman is. The Joker is supposed to make you smile while terrifying you :)
@@ulrichkrause1579I saw batman in concert yesterday. Same thing happened, applause was not the cause of it. Once the orchestra starting playing this, they all started smiling. It's just such a fun tune.
im 35 and saw this movie when i was a kid. and still my favorite part starts at. 6:20 it always makes me tear up and idk why but it’s beautiful
that is the score when we scale up to batman on the ledge at then end of 89"
It’s just good ol nostalgia. Makes me tear up remembering watching it in my granny living room on vhs
This Is The Most Nestolgic Batman Theme Ever
This will forever be the main theme to Batman
1989 - Batman ... 1992 - Batman Returns. Son los dos unicos batman que me agradaron
Things change...Keaton the best Batman of all times
Balbo Target someone agrees with me Yay!
Balbo Target nah I think it’s ben or Christopher
Keaton did play the best Batman by far.
Wrong, Kevin Conroy
Assassin M3ntor he’s a voice actor we are talking actors
Danny Elfman has such a unique take on writing musical scores.
Even in 2022....this will be THE Batman theme forever. Has anyone noticed the chorus also used in the Batman Animated Series?
Back when movie scores where larger than life and not just there to enhance the scene they are being played on.
Long before Nolan Zimmer breathe a new life into Batmanverse there's Burton Elfman that set definitive Batman.
This is the BATMAN Anthem. Nothing else.
Best of the best Batman theme. Definitive.
I still get goosebumps to this piece and seeing danny elfman play this piece live had me tears because it was a childhood dream come true.
Elfman kicks as as a composer and frontman. This orchestra nailed it too.
The best batman theme for me
This Batman score is as iconic as Williams, Superman . Never again a superheroe film has a soundtrack of this quality and so representative of the main character it goes with.
When I heard the first notes of this song, I instantly visualised the Warner Bros logo morphing into a police blimp with twin spotlights, like some inescapable Pavlovian reflex. Was that just me? Anyone else?
Danny Elfman's 89 Batman music has gave me goosebumps for the last 32 years. Lol
That chorus at the end, my god the goosebumps!
Nothing will beat this Batman theme. There have been 4 live action scores and nothing even compares to this one.
Tan sólo está obra maestra, es mejor que todos los Avengers.
Freaking beautiful! Almost cried
Danny Elfman work on the first two movies soundtracks was so damn strong no one's come close to topping it.
Ah, so glad The Waltz of Death is in this as well as The Penguin's Theme/Birth of a Penguin/Death of The Penguin. It wouldn't be a Burton Batman Melody without those great tracks
Of course Viennese LOVE their waltz, the musicians' smile was divine! 😁
Elfman will never be topped. PERFECTION.
Keaton, Nicholson and this magnificent score. How could you not love Tim Burton's Batman? Arguably the one that birthed the era of big budget superhero movies. Not perfect, just awesome.
I would say that Richard Donner's Superman showed it could be done and Tim Burton's Batman actually got the ball rolling.
@@rsr789 Well said.
Mr. Michael Keaton is My # 1 BATMAN OF All Time. Plus He Has the Best BATMAN Theme.
Music by Danny Elfman Theme Song Batman 1989 and Batman Return 1992
Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/ Batman is Legendary Number 1 in 2024 and 2025
i am 45 years old and i stillhave the main theme in my mobile calling tune
Danny Elfman is the Man for this !! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
best theme, best batman (keaton) ever !!!
No man Bale is the best
Conroy noone will ever take the place of Kevin Conroy at least voice wise... Live action I'll say it's a tossup between bale and Keaton for me
@@josederibamarcarvalhofilho6977 with that dog flu voice I don’t think so
Maybe, but there is a problem, HE KILLS
@C Sylve i mean, throw a guy with a bomb to a hole and then leave doesnt seem necessary
3:55 As though we were made for each other... Beauty and the Beast. Of course, if anyone else calls you beast, I'll rip their lungs out.
Erikjust The best Joker theme
I automatically came to think of that thug in the belltower that tried to jump Batman from behind, but fell through the floor 🤣
Dance jockers... 3:55 .. jack nicolson dance...
@@superioricebear2975 Nicolson was the best Joker by far..including the new Joker.
Tybok C boomer
That's why I love classic movies their stories and score are memorable.
Magnifico!!
I'm glad to see that the conductor makes faces as he's going, because I feel like I would too.
3:00 Descent into Mystery- the definition of making an entire scene with just a track
Danny Elfman's Opera prima..... 2023 and I'm still listening it.... the best Batman soundtrack.
The intro is so good. You can tell he took a lot of inspiration from John William's Superman theme
WOW! This took me back to sitting in a theatre in Denver, Colorado in 1989. When that theme came up and hit the audience full on, we all stood and applauded! THIS was the Batman we'd been waiting for all our lives!
6:46 I don't know why, but I love this part.
Riddler0509 cause it was the end of the movie
Era tan mala?
Because it's the musical equivalent of:
"I never said 'thank you'."
"And you'll never have to."
Absolutely the best Batman theme from all the Batman movies
Back when movies were still magical
After 31 years old, this is THE Batman theme forever and ever!!!
I still can't fathom how Danny Elfman went from being the singer in a mediocre 80's band, writing about dead man's parties, and weird science, to a couple years later writing one of the most epic jaw dropping scores in the history of cinema.
3:00 Best part ever!! Descent into mystery with the batmobile!!!
3:00. DESCENT INTO MYSTERY. Frackin' awesome!!!!
Even putting aside my Batman 1989 nostalgia, this is just a stunning score.
Batman will ALWAYS b the number 1 hero out of all heroes from DC and Marvel. Period!!!!!
i listen to this at least once a day, sometimes more
You can see so many of the people in the early 40's and under really loving it. You know it's nostalgia for them as well.
"You ever dance with the devil by the pale moonlight?" Best Theme, Best Joker, Best Batman movie period. Don't argue
Deiontae Burnett Best Batmobile too.
The moment at 06:22 give me chills and gets me emotional everytime. It came from dark ambience to a glorius epic happy notes, much closer to Superman than Batman. Love it.
Marvel who?
Kevin Conwhat?
THIS! This is Batman. One of the single greatest pieces of cinema. And film music!
Did you just diss Kevin Conroy's Batman...
I loved Burtons Gotham, but I thought Keaton's performance was subpar.
I loved how TRULY GOTHIC Gotham was, and the winter setting was just PERFECT.
However, Kevin Conroy still stands as the best Batman in ANY MEDIUM, agreed upon by most well-versed fans.
@@jbobko9291 Never cared for him. (Actually can't stand Conroy's Batman) Voice just doesn't fit for me. Plus, his incarnations' various dumb, unheroic moments (dying of Joker venom, killing Superman, getting bonked on the head and forgetting who he is, etc) just really brings his performances down, imho.
I mean, I'm sure he could do well; I just don't think he's really ever had the opportunity to voice in a 'flawless' production.
Adam West only had, imo, one stupid moment in the entirety of the '66 series. (And it was in the abysmal season 3 to boot) And actually did the "Conroy Batman" better than Kevin Conroy himself in the brickfilm Batman: New Times.
Keaton was amaing. Kilmer was always a favorite of mine. And Clooney was great for kids of all ages.
I think Christian Bale, while a great actor, gave some good performances too, but overall, I'm just not a fan of the Frank Miller-esque stuff. (Gruff, swearing, old & bitter Batman) I much prefer versions closer to the original 11 issues incarnation of Bat-Man.
The Keaton Batman? Outside of having an all dark suit, the world, tone, and story are all lifted right from the pages of 1939 comic books. (Mobster Joker included)
I don't really care for a Batman who can be mind controlled, fights with his compatriots, and has OP level plot armor. Kevin Conroy, whether at the fault of others of himself, often plays this character...
And I don't find that character very heroic at all. Not a superhero in my book.
Kevin Conroy, the person? He's great. He donates to charities all the time, and always seems pretty cool with fans. I'm just not a big fan of his work. And I think he's immensely overrated in the role.
I'm glad that he's done something that so many can connect to/with, but it's just not for me. And I despise that this opinion is seemingly becoming ""fact"" amongst Batman & DC fans.
I just don't care for his Batman.
@@TheDylandProductions Huh. Fuck you, Buddy.
Fuck y'all, the only Batman is and always will be Bruce Wayne.
I had goosebumps in the entire 7 minutes
This is the kind of music I want to hear from Giacchino in Reeves Batman
I get the chills... This theme is a masterpiece.
always loved this soundtrack and it sounds even better live
Is it weird that i feel nostalgia and goosebumps even though i didn't watch any single batman films. But i played the lego batman video game ps 2and it has this theme on the menu
My all time favorite Batman movie to this day.
There are no words to describe how epic this amazing work of art Danny Elfman made. It will be hard to top. Even any John Williams scores as awesome as they are, will never reach the epicness that is this score
Nossa, parece que voltei a infância vendo o filme na tv
Tambem mn
Just as iconic as the superman theme to me!!
Hearing this gives me goosebumps, watched Batman on VHS as a kid all the time
Batman Return Forever
John Mauceri is awesome!
Batman i love You! 😭😭😭
Elfman's Batman and Spider-Man themes will stand the test of time.
I kinda wish that this Batman theme will be used in Matt Reeves's The Batman
Dude I concur, either that or Shirley Walker's theme....the one from Mask of the Phantasm.
We don’t know if it won’t. I doubt it will but he hasn’t formally said he wouldn’t use the theme.
Michael Giacchino is scoring the Matt Reeve's Batman and will surely create something awesome. If you're not familiar with his work definitely check it out!
We will get a new theme, something what uses hans zimmers and Danny elfmans theme I reckon, that's Michael Giacchino's style but don't be surprised if you do hear elements of this version and the dark Knight trilogy and possible arkham and BV S aswell as I said it's his way.
@@VickStarkiller Its Michael Giacchino, he will make his own theme but also use elements from previous to help make his own and may throw in nods other themes aswell.
Some god from another dimension came and dropped this off in Danny Elfman's mind to make sure Batman had the perfect theme song
This score is just the best for describe Batman, Danny is a genius, best score for Batman!!!
