It takes iconic figures for Masterpieces like these to be made.and a very livable argument.. Principles moral's beiia rebel, a little bit of everything.
@@wizzzitit6177 Edward Scissorhands and Batman Returns are arguably Danny Elfman's greatest scores. If you don't already have it, I highly recommend the expanded scores for Batman and Batman Returns. You and your ears will not be disappointed.
Imagine how incredibly amazing it must be not only to be capable of composing something so beautiful but to be able to then sit and watch it performed live by some of the most talented artists. Danny is among the luckiest humans ever to grace our planet, and we're equally lucky that technology lets him share it all with us. @Easytiger10, I disagree, let him sit quietly and just enjoy his masterpiece along with everyone else without all the fuss spoiling the moment.

*I love James Horner's music, he is my favorite composer, and has written many beautiful scores, however what Danny Elfman has done is to write THE most beautiful song to ever exist*
I loved how the edward lerformer didnt touch her with his hands as a way to symbolize Edward's pain. This movie forever changed me, even when i was a kid and my mom took me to see it in theaters... now nearly 40, anyone whos ever been in love, real true love, and has lost.. this will absolutely crush you. But its still so timeless. Lets never forget how amazing films like this can grab ahold of you.
Watching this in ‘2024 at 41years old thinking how absolutely privileged we were to have had these films woven into the very fabric of our youth. Thank you Danny Elfman, Tim Burton, James Horner and many more for bringing magic to my childhood.
I am a 26-year-old young man from a town in the south of Spain where due to time and location this masterpiece is practically unknown, but I feel intoxicated with beauty and joy. I would love to share it with someone else.
@ share it with everyone! ❤️ Try all of his films but some of the best of Burton and Danny Elfman are…. Edward Scissorhands Nightmare Before Christmas Beetlejuice Batman Batman Returns Sleepy Hollow Big Fish Mars Attacks …have fun! ❤️
If you aren't crying stop living. It is beautiful 😍. You can't make films or music like this anymore. People will be offended saying he has rights or whatever they want and completely missing the meaning of a beautiful story. Tragic this wont happen again. At least on this level. Worbid the fact it is a beautiful music score and will upset someone because it's meaning and tone.......
@@NorthernKitty you should be crying. It's beautiful 😍. So much love and expression with sound. It tells its own story. Melts people as it should. Elfman is amazing except for his early career. But I never judge. Sometimes it takes a minute to carve your niche. He has carved monuments!
Even in 100 years 130 years after the movie's release this will be the music of amazing discovery and beauty...I tear up every time knowing that society will change and this might be forgotten...Greatest music score ever? Along side Back To The Future...In my opinion
How have I not heard this before? I saw the movie as a kid but i vaguely remember it. Not sure if i actually finished lol. Probably why i never got a chance to hear this masterpiece. Wow! This made me tear up. Music is beautiful. The way it brings out soo many different emotions in you. Amazing score. I means its Danny elfman right lol.
I watched this movie for the first time last Sunday and the ice dance scene and the score for it is so beautiful cried watching that part of this performance and cried buckets watching the movie
Stunning! A masterpiece! I will have ice dance/grand finale included in my future wedding and that dance. Danny should feel so proud. His essence as well as Johnny’s and Tim’s.
Absolutely love Danny! Edward too but Danny brought the sound. Nothing but respect except the haters lol. When the solo was going on the blonde hated that girl lol. Sad days to say that would happen. I would be truly honored to just be there and enjoy the moment. Crazy how some are obviously jealous. I'll never have that talent but would love too. Go on pal. I'll always support you. Amazing sounds you create....even 20 yrs later people still can't touch it. Amazing job.
That is amazing truly. I have to agree with you on one point and disagree with you on the other. I do agree with the fact that his music is quite amazing definitely will go down as somebody we have idolized and has Legend status as far as a Hollywood composer. I disagree with the fact and I'm talking about American composers that I'm aware of that have come up listening to him. I have noticed they have tried to emulate him in certain factors. Movie music is getting so tasteless these days the days of like big orchestras and you know the stuff Danny Elfman wrote for and I forget his orchestrator's name by the guy who orchestrate this music or you know say Jerry Goldsmith or, John Williams you know those musics big orchestras the composers did music for big orchestras for the films are not competing with cheap you know synthesized music or sounds pre-recorded I'm real instruments booted into there synthesizers and played by other computer / synthesizer and midi type programs. It's sad really but as a kid born in 1978 when I first saw Beetlejuice in the movie theater that was my first experience besides Pee Wee's Big Adventure but I was a little young when that came out to notice the music, however when Beetle just came out I was just the right age that I knew I was in portrait with it to being a cool Tim Burton movie but the music struck me so hard. That is the first movie I can tell you I was at a certain age to wear it really made me go I want to do that I had already played the piano for a couple years at that point but didn't know what I wanted to do with my life but I said I want to do that I want to make music for movies or compose I just wanted to sound like him I wanted to make things like him and I've been on that wagon train ever since it's amazing
We live in a sad time when films like Edward Scissorhands are no longer made

there was nothing like it before, during or after? it a unique film and stands alone.
And Batman returns that’s was one of my favorite scores too
I CAN FIX THAT :D

What’s so magical about this is Danny Elfman, the composer, is the guy in blue sitting behind the dancers. He must be so proud
Danny Elfman in the audience!
oh god
7:24 boom there he is! Blue shade glasses and all...
They should have brought Danny up on stage to share the applause

If anyone ever has a winter wedding. Id suggest this as a first dance song. A bride and groom dancing while its snowing to this would be amazing
Thats actually a brilliant idea. If i can ever have someone love me and want to marry me again I'm totally doing that

I once loved an Edward… I will miss him eternally. What a wonderful tribute to a timeless film.
That's a magical finale.
Not only is the movie uniquely great but the musical score is beautiful, I tend to enjoy musical scores more than the soundtrack these days of movies
The solo violonist made my day, perfect
I hope to God they don’t attempt to “re-make” this masterpiece 😢🙏🏽
Holy Shit! They're preforming right in front of Danny!
I saw it yesterday on tv and i m here again is beautiful
Jake Gyllenhaal watching at 10.09. This movie always moves me to tears and Horner is a genius on his own. Powerful stuff.
