It's so hard when your life is not in a great situation and you have so much work to do to fix it. Hard to convince the monkey brain to stop fighting and foraging and take a nap once in a while.
Migraines are vicious. Definitely a signal to stop the hamster wheel (like a person has any other choice while vomiting) and get off. I learned it was time to go fishing. Quiet with my mind focused on nothing but the wind and the water and casting. Take good care of you. Everything else is just noise.
Greetings from Russia, Buryatia. (Asian part of Russia) I found your video about Watson (what a story, wow!) Then I was interested in your channel and it’s so interesting! Subscribed. (Sorry for my bad English, I’m still practicing) also, your videos are a good material for learning English. Wish you best of luck!
I have experienced brutal chronic migraines for over a decade now. I also experience the overdoing-it bug. Lying in bed with a headache is torture for me, like I am a blob in a tomb - unable to exist, or to contribute anything to the world. It is one extreme to the other. For me it has been discovering the difference between a tomb and a cocoon. One is death. One is regeneration. I am learning to embrace the cocoon and rest/replenish when my body tells me to. It has been a journey.
I love the way you experience things.. I love bob and It is a bit surreal that you actually are the author of warm bodies, a movie that I enjoyed as a kid. (I recently found out that it is a book) I love the spectacle you are putting in front of me. Keep vlogging Isaac!
Damn dude. Your voiceovers are amazing. You really seem like the person who the voice the main character in a game and also as a narrator. You should apply for narrating. I mean it
Wow, that's an amazing compliment! Now I'm going to start thinking in anime voiceover for my everyday life. "I'll take a potato chip...and EAT it!" I'm actually just about to start recording an audiobook for my last book, The Living. If it goes well, who knows, maybe opportunities will arise! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My son had migraines from the age of four. They tapered off when he was a teenager but he still gets the occasional one or a really bad headache. It was stress that brought them on. It could be negative stress like being told off or excitement like having a day out. We learned how to stop them in their tracks, as soon as he felt it coming if he took ibuprofen it would more than likely stop it or at least stop it getting bad. Bob is a sweetheart. I had a bob years ago 😻
as much as i hated running my whole life i once realized that a casual 30+ minute jog solves all my problems from bad mood to headache, soreness, stress, restlessness... also: drinking water and not just sodas/tea :D
As per usual a fine quality upload. Some of the footage was amazing and the ramblings were great. Loved the sun rays piercing your body. Glad your trip made a difference. While I hate giving people health advice I am about to do it. Have you checked the carbon dioxide levels in the box? Also blue light glasses for sitting in front of the computer and just being hunched over a computer could overtime give you a headache. I find you bemoaning that people don't turn up for the longer videos amusing. Its amusing because I have a feeling your channel will go off in the future. Stay healthy
Thank you. :) Haven't thought about carbon dioxide but I don't see how that would be an issue this time of year when I have the windows open a lot. The space is so small half the air probably refreshes every time I open the door. I'm definitely going to work on my computer posture and start doing some stretches and exercises for the head and neck though.
Glad you got relief. Migraines are horrendous and more finicky than a cat. Sometimes you need medical intervention, other times just a walk 🤷🏻♀️wtf. I have even cured some by climbing into my heated bed in a nest of pillows to hopefully pass away 😅.. who can sleep with a migraine 🤯 I have. Hoping yours are on the down slide or moved on. Oh .. hey Bob✋🏻
That's what I did the first two days, I literally slept all day from about noon till the following morning. Truly felt like death. Now I've gone to the doctor and gotten some meds for migraine and nausea so I'll be ready if it hits me again, and I also have preventative practices like more stretching for computer stiffness and some vitamin supplements. I feel prepared!
I’ve suffered from migraines for the past 37 years. You’re lucky in that there are several Rx migraine meds available. They didn’t exist back when I first started getting migraines. Doctors gave me opioid-based painkillers which helped but were terrible in so many ways. The most commonly prescribed nowadays are Sumitriptan and its related drugs, though there are newer alternatives. You should see a specialist next time you’re in the “city” and find out what’s best for your case. Then you’ll have a back up in case your adventure redirects happen to fail. Stay well !
Well, at least there's a lively community that I'm joining! My mom actually has had migraines all her life and she took two meds that worked really well for her head pain and nausea so I asked the doctor to give me those since usually there's a genetic similarity. I'm locked and loaded if this happens again, though I'm hoping to prevent attacks with certain supplements and stretches...
Hi Isaac. I was going to commiserate with you by sharing my experiences, as an artist, doing commissioned work (and the results thereof). However I got to thinking of a helpful solution for you. Perhaps build a small gazebo type structure outside and work on your computer outside. Than you can rest your eyes and mind intermittently as well as enjoy the fresh air. You have mentioned winds there and it could be fun to have a collection of wind socks (koi nabori are cool) as well as a variety of spinners for your whimsical pleasure. A pot plant or succulents outside your hut could also break visual monotony. I do my art outside mostly and enjoy the birds, sun , etc. Please also double check for mould and other health risks in your hut that may cause ill health to yourself. Love to Bobcat
I have migraines too, with the aura. Try out/read about ginger powder against migraines. It is not just a myth, actual good results acknowledged by (some) science. I never had one again (yet) since I take half a teaspoon every day. I just discovered your channel, because my cat (aka best and only real friend) got lost, and your cat video turned up. What an intense story, very tragic and beautiful. My cat just came back after 5 days. He was out in intense rain and thunder and lightening, which he is afraid of, and was in some fight with an animal it seems but no major wounds. Full of ticks also, thin and starving. I was on a one week holiday (that was the plan) but bought a flight back as soon as I heard he was missing, been having a grande search mission ever since. I almost never go away and then exactly then it had to happen! I was beating myself up about it when he was gone..which I know I don't have to do, still I did it. So happy he is back! Now we both are recovering. He (and me) are still not back to our old selves. Got to release some trauma from our systems. He even more than me, but he will be fine. Great to have your video's to watch now! I too live by myself (plus cat friend), in the forest. Many greetings from Norway!
I used to get excruciating headaches for years - not migraines. For me it turned out to be dehydration. 15 years of needless suffering. Now when i get a headache, i chug a litre of water and it vanishes quickly. No harm in trying 🤷
Good on you for keeping that apple! ("How do you like them apples?")(Get the reference? By now it could be considered an old one, but if so, it sure as hell is a good one. Imo.) That little adventure really was what you needed, I think. I sure hope you got a good nights sleep after that night from/in hell.
Surprised almost no one caught the Fallout reference at the end, really good analogy tho. Just found your channel today and have been binging all of your vids and these chill and talk are definitely more enjoyable for me
Maybe get a partnership to sponsor you. But yeah, do what brings you joy / have a genuine curiosity for. I bet people will like to join you on your journey. Once you have the attention monetization follows. You know that already...just a well meaning nudge from my end.
I did get an offer from one of those companies that arranges trips where "influencers" can travel with their followers, where you're supposed to create some kind of planned experience and then promote it...but I didn't like how they make it cost way more for the people in order to cover my costs and pay me. Feels kinda exploitative.
Thanks! There is actually a hospital in the nearest town which is 30 minutes away, so in most cases I would probably be able to call an ambulance. If it's extremely urgent I've heard there is a helicopter service, which I should probably look into...honestly I'm more worried about my cat having an emergency, because the nearest cat ER is over an hour away.... 😬
Headaches are usually a symptom of dehydration. It's important to understand that merely drinking water, is definitely not the same thing as absorbing water into your cells and tissues. This is connected to adequate mineral intake. Most intensively farmed foods are deficient in minerals, leading to all manner of health issues. Buying the book The ABC'S Of Disease by Phillip Day is a good move.
The clouds are telling a story, too! Watch it again and see! I almost suspected some intentional subliminal messaging, but was disabused of the notion a beat later as you said you weren't one for conspiracy theories. Stories are happening and journeys are experienced on multiple levels at once. Maybe they're like tumblers and when we can align them the vault doors open and triumphant music plays and we are coherent, integrated, perfectly whelmed. Thanks for sharing your journey(s) with us!
That part with the clouds was definitely intentional, it did look VERY much like those machines were controlling the weather! 😂 That's why I followed it with the comment about conspiracy theories. I like to wonder and speculate but I don't truly BELIEVE.
Isaac. Stress will cause migraines. Red dye in foods causes migraines. Allergies cause migraines. Big hugs 🤗 to you and Bob, hope you decide to take more breaks for you and Bob ❤ your health is more important.
Hey Isaac 👋🏼 as someone who has been troubled with tension headaches for 8 years I feel this deep in my heart. If you find the cure let me know. Love the Chanel! 🩷
Hey Amy! Nice to see you here. So far my cure seems to be recognizing the early warning signs and immediately redirecting my activities/mental state to avoid the escalation spiral of tension. I've had a few moments since this where I started to notice the feeling and just stopped what I was doing and took a little break to calm down and relax myself...and the migraine never manifested. So I don't know, that's what's working for me!
Migraines are the worst! Haven't had one in years though. I used to have a couple of codeine at the earliest stage & it would nip it in the bud so that I could be functional. Leave it set in & I'd throw up, couldn't stand light, movement or sound. There's no way I could go on an adventure to even try that method of cure. Getting away from the wifi emf & whatnot will help you out for sure. Oh you just said that. I saw a video on that on another platform yesterday.
Love your channel, love your life and yes........I subscribed after watching your cat videos; but, I'm gonna watch all your uploads and will of course shout 'CHILL', if I see ya stressing about stuff you need not be stressing about. This includes you NOT having to respond to this comment! ;)
I’m so sorry. I suffered years ago with migraines. There’s no way any of could know your cause, as there are many. You sound nasally so an allergy med may help. I couldn’t be in the light or drive. Just follow your gut since you don’t have quick access to a dr. Dark, ice, rest, calming music, deep stretching, caffeine, and allergy meds may help. I finally had to get a beta blocker and that stopped my migraines for good. But, I had 3-6 per month back in day 😫 Take good care, hoping the best for you! ❤
Yeah, there are so many possible causes and hypothetical cures. This comment section is packed full of both! I did notice an odd overlap between sinus congestion and the migraine pain, it actually felt like the headache was partially in my sinuses. I always have some amount of congestion because I have a dust allergy and dust is a constant problem in this cramped, poorly ventilated box I live in, but this was something more. Anyway, I'm good now and I have hard meds from the doctor if it happens again, so I shall march forward bravely.
A friend of mine suspects your migraines might be caused by altitude sickness (thinner air / reduced oxygen intake). If you continue to experience them, the suggestion is to try doing some of your exploring on the lower plains for a few hours. Hopefully the increased oxygen and thicker air will get rid of the migraine and you will feel better. 😊
Also, I get dizzy sick, and have an unsettled stomach, and I feel like I’m coming down with something, if my lighting on my cellphone screen isn’t bright enough. New sprays, new fresheners, colognes…?
Mine was from Heritage Portable. The single-slope shed roof style is less common, a lot of companies only do standard pitched roofs or barn style, but it's worth asking because sometimes they offer it but just don't show it on their lots.
I get migraines every so often and I cannot do anything that I want to do. I have to just lay in the dark and relax. Ice on my head. Etc. but sometimes I go out for a walk and that helps too but nothing too exciting. Depends on how bright or loud it is out. Bright lights make it worse for me.
Yeah, the first two days I was totally incapacitated because the slightest movement would make me puke. Third day was just light enough that I could summon the strength to escape and then it faded rapidly.
Schedule yourself some lazy days...Work 4 days a week, and do nothing for 3. Big cats (lions) exert effort to hunt and then, laze around for days afterwards.
I really do need to figure out something. 3 days off is too many for my life as it is now, with so many high-stakes endeavors at play...maybe after I've got the basics locked down, like a house to live in, I can scale back the workload but right now it's all hands on deck. I do think I deserve at least ONE day off a week though. :)
I had a two a day energy drink habit that I quite when I started getting auras and migraines. About a week after I quit them I stopped having problems.
If it's a true migraine it's not related to allergies. It has to do with the blood vessels in the neck and/or the trigeminal nerve. It's a neuro disorder.
I know a simple remedy for headache, migraine or ANY physical pain for that matter: DMSO gel...You can buy DMSO liquid its cheaper, and make your own gel, with aloe vera. Then, just apply it to your forehead and temples whenever the headaches start, it may take 10 minutes for the full effect to develop. This gel is good for arthritis, skin burns and back pain too.
Well if things ever get horrible and you have to have painkillers there's fentanyl everywhere you could probably get some with little trouble just careful not to OD
Haha that's true! If this whole writer/video guy thing finally delivers a negative verdict, I can always go join the guys walking around the streets of Omak and wither into oblivion.
I dobt know how you even drove with a migraine. I can't even open my eyes or it literally feels like my head is going to explode and the nausea and dizziness is way too bad to move.
I definitely couldn't have when it was in full swing. That day was kind of a "migraine hangover" leftover from the previous day, and it seemed like it was starting to come back again, but I stopped it before it fully bloomed.
I did last week. She said it was pretty typical migraine symptoms. Gave me the drugs to interrupt the process next time it happens, but I'm hoping to prevent it with lifestyle changes.
Can you find some ghost towns out there and take us on a visit? I am a ghost town freak but Eastern Washington is not an area I know. There must be some you can find.
Yeah! This video was the first of many explorations that I've been wanting to do since I first started this channel. There are SO many mysterious sites and beautiful forgotten ruins around here, it was my plan from the beginning to do some wasteland adventures like that. I know there are some genuine ghost towns out here, and so much more. Just need to set aside a full day for it so I can wander freely and take random backroads wherever they lead.
Are your migraines a seasonal thing or a work overload reaction? Your inner self will know. Could be seasonal rhinitis ( you sound blocked up). 8 hours spent getting up close with the porcelain turning myself inside out, I was comforted by the thought, ‘this too will soon pass!’😃
This is the first time I've had migraines so I don't know what the pattern may be! (desperately hoping it's NOT a pattern...) But there definitely seems to be a stress trigger. Both times it happened within 24 hours of a really stressful event. At least you have porcelain for your inside-out turnings! I must have made quite an image, just bowing on all fours in the dirt outside, dumping my guts for the ravens to pick over...
It maybe a pinched nerve in your neck... I know, blah blah blah... But, that's what happened to me. I slept with my head crammed in a corner. Check in with a chiropractor. I am Not a Doctor... just old and I have been through some shit in my life. Just sayin'
I didn't see a neurologist, just a regular doctor, but she said it sounded like textbook migraines. Got the good migraine drugs in case it happens again but I'm also taking various preventative measures.
Quite the anti-lazy exoskeleton you've built. Who'd have thunk there's a sloth inside just trying to live a life of ease and aimless wandering. Totally have us fooled Mr. Outpost guy, laboring all day, writing books, and video games, and composing music, and editing videos... uh huh...naturally lazy. Sure...😂
My natural desire is to make art and enjoy pleasures. Everything else, like doing jobs that pay well, building structures, cleaning, maintenance, etc, I do UNDER GREAT DURESS!
Please go and get an MRI Brain. You may live where you do, common-sense may prevail. Why don't you call on God. After all everywhere you are right now, He created it all. Maybe the Lord is speaking to you.

Me too! Except I didn't own a computer, so I had to play it on my friend's computer. An obsession began...
This is so good. Thanks for sharing brother. Vulnerability heals. And helps us feel we can be vulnerable too. Much love
Thanks brother, makes me happy to know you watch these!
I like the ropy sunlight following you everywhere in this one.
That's one of the two new lens filters I added to my kit for this one. Really excited to start getting into some real photography techniques even though I'm a lowly iPhoneographer. :)
I have to continuously tell myself life is about balance. A battle I find myself losing to a job I love day after day.
You have a special channel.. I simply love everything about this channel
I really hope you'll be fine, man
I love the way you experience things.. I love bob and It is a bit surreal that you actually are the author of warm bodies, a movie that I enjoyed as a kid. (I recently found out that it is a book)
I love the spectacle you are putting in front of me. Keep vlogging Isaac!
Encouraging words, thank you so much. I love your PFP and channel name!
Damn dude. Your voiceovers are amazing. You really seem like the person who the voice the main character in a game and also as a narrator. You should apply for narrating. I mean it
Wow, that's an amazing compliment! Now I'm going to start thinking in anime voiceover for my everyday life. "I'll take a potato chip...and EAT it!"
I'm actually just about to start recording an audiobook for my last book, The Living. If it goes well, who knows, maybe opportunities will arise! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@OuterEdgeOutpost Im sure you can do it. You definitely have what it takes.Just believe in yourself that you can do anything
BE MORE WHIMSICAL!!!
Yes, you have to catch it right away. I take 3 aspirin and sometimes it's magic. But sometimes I have to take a triptan.
Don't punish yourself Bob! You are in a way a role model for me! So if not for you then for me :) keep it up! HUGS
as much as i hated running my whole life i once realized that a casual 30+ minute jog solves all my problems from bad mood to headache, soreness, stress, restlessness...
also: drinking water and not just sodas/tea :D
My notification bell has been on. Really it has
Bob has got the casual dude walk down. He told me you forgot to switch your bracelet to FREE.
Haha he has such a good saunter, doesn't he? Natural born cowboy cat. But look again, I was wearing the FREE bracelet this whole video!
@@OuterEdgeOutpost Ha, Ha. Bob doesn't read so well. Last time I take his word for it. He is a cool cat though so I don't hold it against him.
I love how you live and you have inspired me in so many ways thanks for making all the videos, also how is Bob doing.
Bob is maximum Bob every day.
I chug water aaaaalll day. I'm actually getting that tested this week just in case my well got poisoned! 😂
Just found your channel today and have been binging all of your vids and these chill and talk are definitely more enjoyable for me
Fallout references pop up a lot in my stuff, everyone's probably numb to it by now. :)
Parts of this video Reminds me of the movie into the wild.
I loved that movie. Hope my story has a happier ending.
Try a High dose of Vitamin D2 like 50.000 for the headaches!
Issac, you should be doing travelling vlogs focusing culture and more importantly….life ! ❤❤❤
That would be a dream, but have to become independently wealthy first...
Maybe get a partnership to sponsor you. But yeah, do what brings you joy / have a genuine curiosity for. I bet people will like to join you on your journey. Once you have the attention monetization follows. You know that already...just a well meaning nudge from my end.
@@OuterEdgeOutpost Don’t give up on anything! 🙏👍
@@utubes720 More than agreed! Narration was already top notch.
I did get an offer from one of those companies that arranges trips where "influencers" can travel with their followers, where you're supposed to create some kind of planned experience and then promote it...but I didn't like how they make it cost way more for the people in order to cover my costs and pay me. Feels kinda exploitative.
Hope you feel better man! Take care!
I've always wondered... what would you do when you have a medical emergency?
migraines are crippling. i know your pain. hugs
I like to wonder and speculate but I don't truly BELIEVE.
didn't read the other comments but it pretty common knowledge that you are describing a magnesium deficiency.
The doctor did mention taking magnesium, so I'm going to start that, among other things.
How can we message you ? Been looking. Check in with us now and then
There's no messaging on UA-cam unfortunately. Instagram is my most "social" platform.
This includes you NOT having to respond to this comment! ;)
Is responding to comments WORK or CHILL? It's ambiguous so...I will do it. :)
😊
It hasn't happened again since this incident, knock on wood...
It seems like a lot of people have sinus infections and migranes lately. Try opening your windows
Also, I get dizzy sick, and have an unsettled stomach, and I feel like I’m coming down with something, if my lighting on my cellphone screen isn’t bright enough.
New sprays, new fresheners, colognes…?
Am also thinking maybe anti blue light computer glasses...
Hey Isaac! I was wondering where you got your shed as I've looked all over the internet and can't find one like it.
Mine was from Heritage Portable. The single-slope shed roof style is less common, a lot of companies only do standard pitched roofs or barn style, but it's worth asking because sometimes they offer it but just don't show it on their lots.
Please check for mold inside your house. Also any gas leaks, not sure if you use gas.
No gas. There definitely were some mold issues on the window sills over the winter, but it's all dried up and dead now...
@@OuterEdgeOutpost It could well be the spores making you sick. You need to give it a good cleaning, wear a mask and gloves
@@OuterEdgeOutpost sorry you gotta go thru it mate. 🙏 I wish you the best
Nice

I only drink maybe 2 cups of coffee a day....
@@OuterEdgeOutpost Not likely that then, unless you're dehydrated. I hope it resolves itself.
Try a good bottle of Rum or Whiskey.
Oof, I can't imagine how bad that would hurt when I already have a headache...
Could be allergies try over the counter allergy meds
If it's a true migraine it's not related to allergies. It has to do with the blood vessels in the neck and/or the trigeminal nerve. It's a neuro disorder.
I know a simple remedy for headache, migraine or ANY physical pain for that matter: DMSO gel...You can buy DMSO liquid its cheaper, and make your own gel, with aloe vera. Then, just apply it to your forehead and temples whenever the headaches start, it may take 10 minutes for the full effect to develop. This gel is good for arthritis, skin burns and back pain too.
Are you drinking enough water - filtered water? Have you added something to your environment, your menu?
Solar Flares cause migraines as well..
Pls take care yourself dude!
Working on it!
if it so bad, maybe you should visit a doc, pretty please?
I did last week. She said it was pretty typical migraine symptoms. Gave me the drugs to interrupt the process next time it happens, but I'm hoping to prevent it with lifestyle changes.
Is warm bodies 2 coming or not ?
You mean a movie? I think that ship sailed years ago but they are still developing a TV series...
Can you find some ghost towns out there and take us on a visit? I am a ghost town freak but Eastern Washington is not an area I know. There must be some you can find.
I second this, Isaac exploring a ghost town would be an amazing video
@@OuterEdgeOutpost That would be great. I am sure you can find some ghost towns in your area on google.
Yes it was a ‘fancy dunny’ given it was an outhouse in the middle of nature🤣
Ah ok, porcelain is fine, as long as you don't have actual PLUMBING you're still a Woman of the People.
Here for cat. No cat. Need more cat. 😂
There WAS cat! 😂
Humidifier or slow boiling water might help. Antibiotics
Where is Bob
You need to watch the video... he's in it.
It maybe a pinched nerve in your neck...
I know, blah blah blah...
But, that's what happened to me.

Check in with a chiropractor.
I am Not a Doctor... just old and I have been through some shit in my life.

What did the neurologist say?
I didn't see a neurologist, just a regular doctor, but she said it sounded like textbook migraines. Got the good migraine drugs in case it happens again but I'm also taking various preventative measures.
