    Great wee video bud👍. I used the heat gun trick then used bumper polish after and it looks great now. Hated that worn out dull plastic look

    Looks good much better than paint, the previous owner of my transit used Halfords plastic bumper paint, but ether didn't clean properly or it didn't take to certain areas so it ended up looking almost a camo job, but a poor one, so I ended up painting over the with Matt black Rust-Oleum.

      I think whatever product is used, preparation is everything. 👍

    Very helpful mate. Thanks for showing us. How did it perform long term?

    • @mange2
      @mange2  Рік тому

      Hi, it's still as good now as when I did it. The key to success is to clean, clean, clean, then clean again. Then fully degrease with something like isopropyl alcohol to get rid of any contamination. If bumpers are not too bad, then using boot polish also works well.

    hi. How many bottles tyou need to paint all van ?

    • @mange2
      @mange2  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi, I only used 3/4 of the bottle to do all black plastic on the Transit. I have the rest left over in case it needs touching up. However, its now October 2024 and its still as good as the day I applied it. The key is in the preparation, degrease, degrease, degrease and degrease again. A clean contaminant free surface allows the liquid to dye the plastic properly.

    Thank you. One question, does it run in any way after washing or rain? Looks great on your van. Thank you again from Charlotte NC

    How long does it last

    • @mange2
      @mange2  8 місяців тому

      Its still as good today as the day I applied it. To be honest its surprised me, I thought I would have to redo it by now. The key is to get the surface as clean and grease free as humanly possible.

    • @mange2
      @mange2  2 роки тому

      Yeah ive heard a heatgun works well, it brings oils to the surface to turn it back to black again. 👍
