    I recently made a better video on how to do the major service for your car - this includes how to remove the turbo oil plug: ua-cam.com/video/yWRYkXMRD20/v-deo.html

      I definitely regretted not buying the correct oil drip tray! 🤦🏻‍♂️😄 I will learn for next time!

    Nice video! One tip I can offer. Remove the oil fill cap and oil filter and the dipstick before you pull the drain plug. This helps the oil to drain better and more completely. It is the same principle that you showed with pouring the new oil from the bottles. Better air flow. Thanks for doing the video.

      Hi Jerry, welcome to our channel! 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 👍🏻 Thank you very much for the tips, I agree with you - we will try that next time when we service the car. If you watch this video below, we recently changed the oil again; this time we tried it a bit differently and it worked better. ua-cam.com/video/InU85LgQMnU/v-deo.html
      Stay tuned for more videos! 😊

    loosen the oil filter first, it will drain all the oil from it before removal, there are 2 drain plugs also, they both need to be opened, the other one is at the back of the sump over the cross member, a real pain to access!

      Thanks Dimitri, I made this video before knowing about that, and since then I did another major service to the L322 and managed to drain the turbo plug as well! I'll leave the link for the other video here if you're interested to watch it: ua-cam.com/video/yWRYkXMRD20/v-deo.html 👍🏻

    Where did u buy that torque wrench from? The one I got with the 200pc tool kit doesn't have any torque settings :(

    • @lifeasusual
      @lifeasusual  Рік тому

      You're right, this torque wrench is not included in the 200-piece box set. Torque wrenches come in different sizes and torque values. I purchased this specific one from Amazon, and this is the link where I unbox it and briefly explain more about it -->> ua-cam.com/video/tOTiydb0o2Y/v-deo.html
      If you're still not sure, please let me know and I can help you further 👍🏻😊 because there are a few of them on the market with a massive price range and it can be a bit confusing. Some you can purchase from Halfords, B&Q, and Amazon.

    Instead of saying “there’s 4 screws in total or what the last owner left” much more useful to say what size bolt

      Hi Morgan, no, it's just a bit over 9 litres. 👍🏻😊

    Did you drain from both sump plugs ?

    • @lifeasusual
      @lifeasusual  Рік тому

      Hi, welcome to the channel 😁
      This specific engine which I don't find many people working on it does not have two drain sump plugs 🙂

    • @simplysunny001
      @simplysunny001 Рік тому +1

      @@lifeasusual , it has 2, refer to the manual. Conveniently, most people seem to drain only 1.

      Where is the second one?

    • @davedog999
      @davedog999 Рік тому +2

      The second one is a little bit further back towards the rear and a pain as when it’s loosened the oil will hit the subframe and go everywhere - it is important this is drained as it is a separate drain that has a small portion of oil from the turbo. Most people miss this one and wonder why their turbos fail prematurely.

    • @lifeasusual
      @lifeasusual  Рік тому

      Hi Dave, I tried to have a go at it once, but it's in a tight place; I don't think there is enough space for the bolt to come out. The subframe is literally under the bolt.

    I pour sideways

    • @lifeasusual
      @lifeasusual  Рік тому

      Hi Peter, pouring the oil sideways provides a lot of control 😎 👌 👍
