Great video. I can't wait to get to the range and get my gun set up. I have been so confused by other videos and honestly been shooting all over the map. Lot different than running a shotgun that is for sure. I even use a shotgun for deer so I have no experience with rifles or scopes. Can't wait to get hunting with my new 22.

Not bad advice on sighting in. However, I would add one thing. You were using, what appeared to be, a 3x9 power scope and it was set at 6. Always sight in at your highest power.

I do 50 yards for squirrel. Rem, shooting up will flatten the trajectory.

Hello, I just ran into this video and find it very helpful. However, my first time using a rifle with scope and haven't got the adjustment click thing in place yet. If you or anyone viewer who has knowledge would like to give some advice. The video shows multiply the 8 clicks ( at 100 yards original) by 4 since the shooting test was done at 25 yards and the 8 clicks is for 100 yards as the manual/scope recommended. What I would like to know is does the multiply by 4 still applies to at 50 or so yards or does it vary at different yards ( assuming testing under 100 yards)? If so, how do I figure out what number to multiply by?
Any knowledge info or advice would help me out. I greatly appreciate your help.

You would multiply by 2 instead of 4, as you are half of the distance recommended in the manual (100 yards). Hope this helps!

When your in the woods sqirrel hunting you don't have a table or a chair. Our i just do it wrong or something

No, you don't have a table and chair when out hunting. The main reason to have a good solid rest for "sighting in" is to make sure the everything is good to go. Then, if you miss while out hunting, you can figure that it was your fault, not the gun's or the scope's.

@@reb1050 i sight my rifle before I even think about hunting and check every few months to make sure it hasn't been knocked out of adjustment! I'm responsible for every projectile that leaves it's barrel and I'm going to make sure I know where it will end up. I don't need any costly mistakes in my life!
