Yes initially I wasn't sure on alloys but seeing them used on this bigger RXT, its a must... as I mentioned in the video, if it is say a small XP then the trailer needs to be a smaller box section 350 and smaller 10inch wheels to look proportional to the ski. The alloys are so nice in person. Thanks for watching dude 💪
The coloring is fantastic, I would adore a color matched trailer for my RXTX. I'm not super keen on rollers, have always preferred bunks (or the odd combo setup), but that looks very properly good. The wide tires are gonna be nice for any sandy or beach launch/recovery just like he said. The only thing I don't think was mentioned was if it was steel, galvanized or aluminum... I dont buy anything but aluminum these days even for fresh water boats! Oh and that side step will be a blessing I'm sure of it!
Thanks for watching buddy. My Dad is over the moon with this...really finishes off the ski! Ok so here in the UK all trailers are pretty much all Galvanized, however Extreme Galvanize all their trailers first and then powder coat over the top (importantly though not just automotive spray 2k paint over the top which many mistake Powder coating as...Powder Coat is much stronger). Importantly though Extreme, gas out the zinc properly from the Galvanize, so you get no lifting... I've made a whole video here which covers the concept of powder coating over gal correctly: ua-cam.com/video/v7mhcMH6AQs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=ClassicJetskis I've been using gal and powder coat for coming up to 4 years now and never had any issues with salt water usage... if anything the powder coat protects the protection lol, as in the Galvanize base has another barrier with the powder coating being there. The other big thing though is the aesthetical finish by powder coating, you can finally have a strong trailer that looks smart vs standard looking metal trailer. I do love bunks but IMO for this weight/size craft, rollers are the way forward, that said I would only use Extremes rollers as theirs are nylon vs most use rubber which leave rub marks. Rollers just make life 1000% easier, plus rollers just look so much nicer in this colour coded fashion vs black carpet. Bunks are fine for small 2 strokes but for this beast got to be rollers for me... reduces chance of marks between carpet and hull... Thanks again for watching dude
Wow, they make some nice trailers. I don’t see any roller kind here in the US. One thing we do have is aluminum trailers which I have for my skis. We have wood and carpet around it and spray some silicone to slide. I’m not sure but the front and breaking looks like the ski will fly over the trailer? It’s supposed to go strapped under the stop so that if you do break it won’t launch out of the trailer.
I know right... Extreme here in the UK really are best in class in terms of overall complete custom trailers... for me I love the fact they are still hot dip gal and then powder coated over the top...so super durable. So like you for a long time I used bunk/carpet exclusively, but once I introduced a roller its night and day in terms of ease of use... that said, Extreme use non marking nylon whilst many rollers historically are rubber, which creates rub marks. Yes at the front of the trailer there is a snubber block that sits just below the winch hook eyelet and then there are tie down points to strap the skis down front and back... Thanks for watching dude 🙌
What classic seadoo are you lookin for now, if I were you I would be on the look out for a 95.5 xp 800. Rarest seadoo made since only like 500 were made, I own one and restored one and it’s a beautiful ski.
Man thats a hard question, in general I'm always just looking for clean one owner examples, but at the top of the list it would be a B1, X2 or OG square nose stand up. Yes I would love a 95.5 but personally (sorry) I way prefer the 96 hood with the mirrors, I understand the aero on the 95.5. but I love the hood with mirrors. The other tricky thing is whilst a 787 is for sure a quicker more capable ski than my 717, with them both being X4s and mine being so clean, I think I want to find other classics first i.e. a clean stand up. In general I want more space to keep buying more and more. Thanks for watching dude
Looks sick… black trailers are very popular here in Aus. Also our trailer manufacturers have bent transom bars so the ski sits lower and it’s easier to launch and dock. Did the old man get any sleep waiting on his new toy 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Thanks mate, my Dad is over the moon with it. Yes here in the UK black is popular... our trailers are hot dip Galvanized then powder coated over the top. The powder coat gives a much more durable coating than traditional automotive spray paint, and helps prevent Gal from oxidising faster. Dad is in love with the ST3 hull, not sure I will be getting him back on my 2 strokes now 😂 Thanks for watching 👍🙌
Yes buddy, there are still a number of skis I want to find including either a Kaw or square nose stand up... A nice custom stand up trailer would look sick! Thanks for watching 💪🙌
@@classicjetskis I still have my square nose, super jet since 1995 brand new. Still looks amazing. In fact, I’m going to install a factory pipe and some upgrades to give it new life and go riding again after 15 years of forgetting about it.
The trailers are mint, but Extreme need to up there game and install fixed waterproof tail light to there trailers like Lorries trailers come with….. Pay all that money for a trailer and you still have to mess about with an ugly trailer light board when you launch…👎🏼
Not sure where you are based but here in the UK removeable light boards are sadly a reality for trailers... All trailer manufacturers spec these white removeable boards and then what we call removable lightboard bars... Then its just a case if the owner wants to pay more for integrated lights. Extreme do offer integrated lights that are permanently fixed and the wiring is ran through the box section of the frame, however me and my Dad prefer removeable lightboards and bars as we launch on the beach and if the lights are fixed, they dig into the sand... The other issue I've had with fixed integrated lights is, even though they say there are waterproof, submerging lights into water over and over again, they never last... So sadly as of right now, these removeable boards, whist I agree are ugly, are the best option. I have been recently testing wireless magnetic lights which could be easily mounted and unmounted before launching, but wireless is temperamental and from a safety point of view, you don't want lights failing. Keep in mind aswell with lorries you're not submerging the lights into the sea... Thanks for watching.
Wicked combo..alloys are perfect on it ..👌💯

@@classicjetskis All fair points , and thanks for the information regarding the trailer material; super interesting stuff! Cheers!

@@classicjetskis hahaha no need to get him off the thumper, remember he had a 2 stroke under him for many rides.
This is very true, unlike me he has been there and done it... he was riding 2 strokes when I wasn't even alive so I'll let him off 😂
Good video, any plans on trying standups?
