Third day of Chauvin trial opens with footage of Floyd in convenience store

- The third day of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin's trial for the killing of George Floyd has been focused so far on a previously unseen place: inside the Cup Foods convenience store on the corner of 38th and Chicago where George Floyd was taken into custody by police.
The jury was shown the surveillance video inside the store, where Floyd had entered to buy a pack of cigarettes. Floyd later died outside the store after police arrested him, and Chauvin pinned him to the street by putting his knee on Floyd's neck.

That 5:00 minute mark where Floyd flashes some cash at the guy with red pants coming towards him and the guy takes the money and puts something in his hand for sure looked like a deal. You might get away with it a few times but eventually your gonna try the wrong one and have a couple of options
1.) If your lucky they take the bill or give it back and say never step foot on the property again

There is talk about a drug deal going down in this video.
1. That would explain why he is awkwardly waiting for no apparent reason.
2. And how he had the white substance in his mouth on the body cam shortly after.
3. Also, his friend/drug dealer (confirmed by Floyd's girlfriend) was in the video and is now pleading the 5th as to not incriminate himself.

Seem like Floyd like to chill in that store
He had more than a 20 dollar bill why didn’t they just say oops and got the right cash why call the cops why did he have to die
Big mistake by the prosecutors showing this to the jurors. This is clear evidence that he was deliberately impaired. This also shows the ill intentions of all 3 individuals that day.
and driving under the influence. I know quite a lot of people who were killed by dui drivers. Im sure the Jury does as well.
None of that warrants a death sentence.
@King
Who told you that?
@@burlong01 There's no proof Chauvin applied significant force to Floyd's neck. There are even points where Floyd can be seen lifting his head and neck off the ground, proving low force application during some points of the tape. Couple this with the autopsy showing no bruising or tissue damage, and there is more than enough cause for reasonable doubt.
Additionally, if Floyd was high here in the store, and crashing in his car when cops arrived, he would have swallowed his stash while on the crash from the previous high, which wreaks havoc on the body. In addition Floyd had hypertension and severe arterosclerosis as per his hospital visit for his overdose in March 2020 2 months earlier. And he had recently gotten COVID. It is plausible that Chauvin's knee had nothing to do with Floyd's passing, and as long as innocence is plausible he cannot be convicted.
@@GlacialScion There is a toxicology report showing that Floyd had high levels of fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as moderate levels of morphine and norfentanyl in his bloodstream. The combination of these drugs in the amounts presented is fatal in most people. Keep in mind that tolerance to a drug applies more to the "high" effects than the fatal limit. It is difficult for doctors to anaesthetize drug addicts because they have a narrow gap between getting an anaesthetized response vs a fatal overdose in a patient.

Because it was in May 2020

Exactly. Everyone in the store is shady. When people just stand around, go back and forth, walk too close repeatedly to the same person, it’s nerve racking. Are they planning a robbery ? Are they just trying to shoplift? Are they trying to give someone a gun ? Ugh. The whole scene is bad.
