  • Went out beyond the Gold Bar Waterfall to get a Jeep with some broken parts needing carried out. We repaired the front hub so we could carry it out backwards to keep from further damaging the rear axle. This is my first video not edited by me, please give some feedback in the comments and let us know how we're doing. Thank you all for the support.

Did a trip into the Maze area of Canyonlands. Requires a permit and orientation with the Park Rangers. One thing they cover is having your junk prepared to get in and out on your own. Because if you need a tow/recovery it would come from Moab and start at about $3000. We didn't have any trouble so I don't know what a recovery would really cost. But if you were in the situation needing to be recovered, when distance and travel time and difficulty to get to you are factors you're gonna call whomever is closest that has the capability to do the job. If you're wheeling in Southern Utah it's good to know that there are several solid options to call if need recovery from some catastrophic breakdown/accident.

Great explanation of what a solid bar does when the truck goes up or down and draws the towed vehicle towards and into the rear of the truck.

    • @michaelboyle1983
      @michaelboyle1983 2 роки тому

A solid bar the same length of those ropes, at their maximum stretch, wouldn't pull the towed vehicle any closer to the tow truck than the ropes do.
I'm not saying a bar or 2 would work better but the ropes act like solid bars, as far as distance from vehicle to vehicle, when they're stretched.
      God bless you!
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
      John 3:3 KJV
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
      Revelation 21:8 KJV
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
      1 Corinthians 15:1‭-‬4 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
      Romans 3:23‭-‬26 KJV
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
      Romans 5:8‭-‬11 KJV
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
      Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 KJV
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
      Romans 5:1‭-‬2 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
      Romans 10:9‭-‬10 KJV

A friend of mine here in the eastern sierra’s of California has a towing company. He also does quite a lot of off road recovery. He doesn’t use a tow truck off road. I’m familiar with a sling on a regular on road wrecker. With the ruff country where you are. Your absolutely right. That type of setup would not work very well going over obstacles. It requires much more flexibility to lift carry and tow a rig from ruff trails. Great video trailmater is a great rig for what y’all do with it.

I once towed my buddy's Mazda Miata 32 feet out of his backyard with my 2WD Automatic Ford Ranger in New Jersey - so I am *MORE* than qualified to *insist* that the way you rig these recoveries is completely *WRONG* !!
In all seriousness now - The editing was *really* good and having someone walk beside you when you're towing, especially with all the low-angle footage is excellent! And if there were ever a need for a valid reason why someone should choose the tires that you choose to run on your tow-rig, then this video would be it! Still cannot believe the tall obstacles you can slowly climb while pulling the dead-weight of this Jeep up and over huge rocks at the same time. Thank you (ALL) once again for sharing this entertaining content with us! 👊👊👊👊👊 - Five out of five fist bumps for all involved in the recovery...
and 👊👊👊👊👊 Five out of five fist bumps for all involved in the editing and videography!

Excellent recovery Rory! No need to convince me that you absolutely know what you are doing, it shows in every recovery. Also this was an excellent video, in all aspects. All of you guys are doing a spectacular job!
