I grew these indoors under grow lights. My peppers where smaller but still massive and everyone really enjoyed them. If you like non hot Peppers its a must grow
Peppers are great on eggs. Poached or scrambled or easy over. Inside burritos, in casseroles and just by themselves. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar for a change. Endless possibilities.
I know one thing it is 5:30 a.m. here, and now I'm starving. I use roasted red peppers in scrambled eggs, frittatas, on tacos, and really anyting Italian. I bet that olive oil would be very good in spaghetti sauce or any marinade. I just love the kitchen ideas you give us, I have been cooking since I was 12 years old. My grandfather taught me, he was head chef on a merchant Marine ship. Thanks so much for the video, Jimmy
We stuff ours with rice ,beans, taco seasoned meat /chicken, or beef, and cheese of choice after roasting and cleaned then bake till stuffing is hot and cheese is melted. Delicious.
@@BushImports it is. I love my garden and am really sad that it is winding down for the summer. Canned and froze a lot for the winter though. Have some things that will be ready in September to harvest . Pumpkin and butter nut squash for those yummy pies at Thanksgiving.
Our family lives in Jersey and last time we were there, we got a fresh sald that was out of this world. Instead of tomatoes, it had a lot of sweet red pepper strips. Fresh mozzarella cheese slices, and 3 or 4 fresh grilled eggplant slices also. It had Romaine and iceberg lettuce chopped in it. Forgot the dressing, but hubby and I shared it. ❤ It was so delicious. Next trip over, we will get another salad. Scale of 1-10, it was 10+
Oh me too! I miss growing my food! I love her face when she looks at her stuff growing! I was always like that, SO excited when things were ready to go. It's such back breaking and tiring work, but every year I couldn't wait to get started!! Those good old days!! Hard work and a beautiful pantry 💞💞
Can second this statement, delicious. Garlic powder on top yummmmmy I also have saved the seeds for next summer to grow a few plants and gave rest to a greenhouse owner for her to plant and sell
Yuuuummmmm!!!!! Chop and put in potato salad! In fresh green salad! Wrap a deviled egg in one! Make your own mayonnaise and purée this into it: pretty and delicious! On and on and...!
Roasted pepper sauce (Ranchero sauce) is perfect for huevos rancheros, chili rellenos, etc...yummy. I had fun with this video and learned a lot. Gonna try it for sure. Thank you 🙏
For all y'all that asked, yes you can get the seeds from baker creek (12 seeds for $3). I agree w/everyone who sings praises for your channel. It's content is the best ever presented by a great couple. Thank you!
There is a great chicken recipe I use roasted red peppers for. It has cream cheese, garlic, roasted red peppers, chicken stock, basil, and red pepper flakes. I found it on Pinterest and it takes 30 minutes or less. A family favorite!
I once had a delicious salad that had beautiful greens, then had roasted fingerling potatoes, roasted red peppers, roasted garlic, and goat cheese. Divine!
Yes, I love roasted peppers in omlets, frttatas, quiches, rice with pigeon peas! And the oil is good for basting meats and veggies on the grill. Thanks for sharing the ways to keep those yummy peppers on hand long term. 👍
They look so yummy. I make red pepper soup using roasted peppers onions garlic thyme and chicken broth, whiz with a stick blender then add cream. So yummy!!! And great with garlic bread!
Sarah, we love pasta with sun-dried tomatoes or re-dehydrated tomatoes, sauteed onions and garlic, roasted red peppers, the oil from the roasted peppers or olive oil, butter, parsley and lots of parmesan cheese.
I would imagine that pepper/garlic infused oil would be great to brush on top of a focaccia Sprinkle some fresh herbs, onion and very thinly sliced garlic, and you have a bread fit for a king. Yumm!
I use roasted red peppers minced for marinating chicken wings, then the excess marinade mixed with cream cheese as a dip! LOVELY! Also spread in celery stalks!
Yum roasted red peppers on a sandwich are the best , great video much more fun to make than buy a tiny jar for 4 bucks . They would be great in a cold pasta dish with other veggies.

Thank you for another wonderful video. The peppers are so beautiful fresh out of the garden and in the jar. I love your appreciation for the lovely food you and Kevin grow, and seeing you preserve it in so many ways. I am thinking Samantha and Grace are close by your side, learning and helping as you preserve the lovely “bounty “. We miss seeing them, but are glad we got to see them for a while. May they be blessed, safe, and happy at school, and in their daily activities. May you all four continue to be blessed as a family. YOU ARE LOVED AND APPRECIATED. 😊🙏🇺🇸
Excellent showing on the seed saving! Waste not, want not. And this way, you know exactly where and what the seeds came from! Presuming you mark the container appropriately.😉😁💗
It's almost 5AM here, and I'm starving now ! These would be great to make sausage with the garlic and also some extra sharp white cheddar or provolone cheese stuffed in them. Then add some Herb de Provence to the olive oil with a fresh loaf of Italian bread and you have a feast ! Those peppers are amazing, thank you ! Love the garden

There used to be a diner in Massachusetts that sold “Moon Burgers”. I have no idea why they were called that- but the burger had a big piece of roasted pepper and a slice of purple “Bermuda” onion. Delicious!
Those peppers are absolutely gorgeous, I'm pea green with envy. 🤩 As for the leftover oil, I'd recycle it by putting sliced onions in it, along with a jalepeno for spiciness, put it back in the frig and let that marinade for a while. Yummy.
Throw in a few pieces into your homemade mayo. Also do a last minute brush of oil, on your roasted quail and/or veggies... especially the ones cooked in the air fryer. 😁 Thanx for your vids, they are greatly appreciated. 🤗
