For my Phd I am currently developing an interactive system for PIMD patients fitting most of the philosophy of these rooms, such environments where originally created for this target group. If you are interested in such environments I can advise to read the first 70 pages from the Multisensory Rooms and Environments - Controlled Sensory Experiences book by Sarah Fowler (no affiliation /commercial interest ). I would not state that this room is unique, there are at least dozens around the world.
