My elderly mother traded in her last of several ES's for one of these when they came out. She loved having Prius-like PC-ness and milage with the luxury of her ES's. Plus the seating was more upright with a shallow step-out, so it was easier all around for her. My sister-in-law still drives that HS daily, today. it was a great car - a bit more power than the Prius of the time and really decent steering and fun to drive. The only really big negative was absence of a hatchback - and almost useless trunk. So bad that this could never be your only family car. Great. great car though.
