    As I like to raise awareness of the UKs struggling wildlife these are perfect for highlighting our numerous bee species, that's the geeky bit, the effect is awesome & can't wait to give it a go...thank you for another great tutorial 👏🏻

    Ooh! I'm thinking doing them in gold and on a card with a die cut of a bee... And probably something corny like... Have a bee... Youtiful day!?!?? You're excelling yourself!

    I love your videos (only found you about a week ago)!
    I also love how you haven’t let your colourblindness or shakes stop you from doing your art. I personally have had difficulties coming to terms with my hands shaking, as my art used to require much precision. My youngest son is only able to see in greyscale. We both feel better seeing you succeed despite your issues. Thank you!

    Hi Steve. I just love this. I know that I'm going to do this one, and I'm going to add some gemstone chips inside of the holes. I, like you save many things, and since I have a great fondness in ordering things, (especially from Amazon), I have sheets of plastic wrap saved up. Thanks for the great idea. I can't wait to try it.

These are amazing, and will make wonderful gifts..im going to try it also on the wooden xmas blanks, I think it will look great on the wooden baubles... When I first started with resin, you came to my rescue, and have been there for me ever since..I started with a handful of moulds, now, I've lost count of how many I have lol.. awesome man x

    That pattern reminds me of a pendant I made a few weeks ago. Years ago I had shingles (Lots of pain, no fun at all) so as a distraction I made a bunch of sequins from nail polish. I would spread a large section of nail polish onto a large plastic bag, let it dry, then use a leather punch to cut out little circles of various sizes. It was super tedious, but that was a good thing because it helped me not be as aware of how miserable I felt.
    The remaining polish sheets were really pretty, so I kept them in my folder of "maybe I can use this one day" bits. I ended up with five or six sheets of rainbow matrix that looked sort of like punchinella.
    Fast forward to a few weeks ago... I put a circle of silver holo cardboard onto a washer, then layered the rainbow matrix over it. It turned out so pretty! Unfortunately, it wound up with my best friend from college before I could get any good photos of it. I'll be remaking it for myself, though, because it's one of my favorite things I've ever made!

    • @LaynieFingers
      @LaynieFingers 3 роки тому

      @Steve McDonald Arts and Crafts Thanks! I wore it to see my friend (her mom passed away suddenly) and both she and her sister gave me the best compliment- they thought I'd bought it somewhere! I gave the pendant to her, and she wanted to hear the whole process of how I made it. 😄
      I love the pendant because I love color, and even when there's not enough light to show the holo you can still see the rainbow in the overlay.

      I know exactly the pain you went through with shingles. It took me 6months to get over most of it. Doctors don't tell you about the pain ; and the drainage that stinks to high trees it's aweful. Been over a year now and still have pain from it. I truly feel for you.

    • @LaynieFingers
      @LaynieFingers 3 роки тому

      @@spiritwings4592 You're right. And I'm one of the lucky people who gets to have recurrent shingles- I've had it 7 or 8 times, maybe more. Talk to your doctor about lidocaine patches... If you can afford them (they're expensive) they do wonders for the lingering pain!

      @@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I had some gold glitter filled clear left over yesterday after doing a small pour, so I added Black Current resin colorant to it and grabbed the nearby bubble wrap...Will let you know how it works out.
      I also found that the uv resin I was using on the leaves remained sticky no matter how long I put the light on them, so they are hopefully hardening properly with the clear 2 part Art n Glow I tried.

    very nice! I'm thinking it'd make a spectacular lamp if you made the grid from black, and filled in with different transluscent colors...like stained glass. Then pop in a little LED light. Also, there are some places that use heart shaped bubble wrap that would work really well for this.

    By the way, I did try to find out the origin of the phrase “Bob’s your uncle”. The origin isn’t really that concrete but Wikipedia gives a theory. The other part of the phrase, ‘Fanny’s your aunt”, doesn’t seem to have a separate meaning and isn’t always said after the first part of the phrase. But one reference says that by mentioning an uncle and an aunt, then your family is complete, which is basically the meaning of the phrase. I hope you enjoyed this bit of trivia 😁😉

    Looking at the thumbnail:
    #1 I knew you used bubble wrap
    #2 I had no idea if was supposed to be honey comb.
    I have loved EVERYTHING you have done until this video. I really feel like you are grasping with this video. ....Iike you are out of ideas for content. I know you’re trying to keep up with a UA-cam algorithm but there is something to be said for quality over quantity.
