+Victor Kim First this is poetry, be it good or bad depends upon the viewer. unless you happen to be an expert, victor, your opinion is as good as mine. but instead of saying its bad say how it could be better. Second, I think she meant we shouldnt treat Liang like a victim, rather, treat the "white versions of him" like criminals as well. I think thats what she meant by "call in your people, tell them we have work to do".
+Victor Kim just be honest, man. By complaining about what happened to Peter Liang, WHO WAS SERVED JUSTICE, you, just like all the others Miss Choi is rebuking, are not complaining about injustice. You're just complaining about how Asian Americans' supposed "model minority" status, in the end, does not grant them access to White Privilege, which should not exist in the first place, but does.

I don't understand poetry but this is a nice counter to the extremely ugly display of tribalism exhibited in the Chinese community's support of a criminal.

do regardless of race but I always commend those in the Asian community to stand up and call this out. Not many are so willing to see this as a shared injustice. That I respect from Franny here.

I can’t say I agree with any of her words here. Maybe she should put on the uniform and go out on patrol. Then she can comment on what happened. He was a young rookie and a human being with human fears despite the badge. He should not have been prosecuted for what happened.
