Thank you! I didn’t know there was two more screws behind the weatherstripping and adjusting my door has been a frustrating experience… Until now! Thanks again
Thank you!!! I tried small adjustments and made things worse. You were the first person to get me to ground zero so I can get it right. Always love your helpful videos!
Thank you! This was a real life saver for me. I'm old and inexperienced and have serious spatial relations problems. And I was struggling to reinstall a sliding screen door after having the screen replaced. I just couldn't figure out how to "loosen" (retract) the wheels. Your video made it very clear. I was thrilled to be able to do it myself. (I hate having to ask my guy friends to do things that I should have figured out myself!)
I was so frustrated that I kicked the screen off the gosh darn frame. Should have searched "How To" videos sooner. Found this video, made the adjustments, and now the screen door is functioning properly. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent video. Thanks for teaching the how to adjust the patio door. BTW, where can you get the patio door weather strip? I have tried the big box store, HD, and I can't find it. Thanks.
I'm hoping that this will allow us to remove our slider screen door to rescreen it! We could NOT figure out how it could be removed! Thank you! (fingers crossed!)
My bottom screen door roller farthest from the handle will not adjust out from the door. Does the spring actually fail in this case? I guess I need a new roller assembly. How is that replaced?
Note: all screen doors are not the same. Some manufacturers' adjustment screws are turned clockwise to retract the wheels and counter-clockwise to extend the wheels. The best way to confirm this is while the screen door is off the tracks, but it can be observed while on track as well.
It’s common sense, either way turn them all in the same direction and then adjust back. If it’s not working one way, start over the other way. You know how a door is supposed to close
Something is jammed up. Or the whole opening has swelled or shifted. Retract them wheels as much as possible and play with it. Maybe pull the whole damn thing out of the track and experiment. A time consuming proposition.
That's a very expensive and strong screen door. Cheapo screen doors are another story, especially replacement screen doors that aren't exactly the same as original. Then you're screwed. They bind, they stick, or they jump the tracks. I'd like to see that video.
Whatever you do, DO NOT LISTEN to this guy. If you completely loosen those screws, the entire spring assembly will pop out and you'll be left with a spewing loaded puzzle to mess around with all day.
Excellent video. All the information needed without the extra talk. Thank you.
I looked through about 10 videos before I found this. Perfect. Thank you!!!!!!!
I did the same. That's why I made the video once I couldn't find a good one.
Thanks you rock. About to break sliding door over my head but finally a good true how to on adjustments. Big ups!
Installed a new door today, very simple and easy to follow. took about 10 minutes! One finger and it slides like a champ!
Good to hear ..can't wait to try installing the old beater I'm rebuilding...
Thanks for sharing! We're getting a relative's house ready to sell, and the screen door is giving us grief...now I know how to fix it! Very helpful!
Update: BOOYAH! Worked AWESOMELY! You rock, my dude! Thanks so much for posting!!

well done. sometimes you have to start from scratch.
Good stuff sir. Simple process, simple instruction, great video.
My new screen wasn't closing flush at the top, and this video gave me the idea to adjust the rollers. Thank you!
My random adjustments just couldn't cut it. Glad I found your helpful guide, made it easy! Cheers!
WOW thank you for shooting this video. I was about to go out and buy and new one. You saved me a few bucks. THANKS
My door works like a new one. Thank you for your video 🎉.

Thank you!! Your video was the easiest to understand!!
Excellent
I’m very impressed. Thanks for the info that is very helpful! Thanks again!!!
very easy-to-understand tutorial thank you...I found an old frame and I'm rebuilding it so this helps me out.
Thanks so much for taking time to make this video. Big help!
thanks. I wondered how the hell to do this for years and finally figured the process.
Thanks for the video! My screen door is sliding smoothly now :)
Awesome, great tip! our screen door comes off track and binds most times and it drives me up the wall. Thank you

Hard to find weatherstrip. Keep looking or just remove it!
Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I will try this right now.
Did it work?
Thanks for sharing. Worked like a charm.
Very helpful. Thanks!
Helpful. This video nicely done, many thanks.
Thanks, bought a. We screen door yesterday and as I tried to fit it, I got discouraged. But I am going to try this and see what happens.
Awesome tips. Thanks!
Very Helpful. Thank you!
Great explanation! Thanks!!
Thanks. I've been fighting rhis for like an hour.
The bottom adjustment was the part I was missing. 👍
Thank you, good practical advice.
I'm hoping that this will allow us to remove our slider screen door to rescreen it! We could NOT figure out how it could be removed! Thank you! (fingers crossed!)
things swell. good luck and be careful not to bend things.

Juat what i needed, to do this by myself!
go for it Dawn!
Got my bottom wheels to slide nice but a bit of play on top of door wheels extended out all the way.
Shape of door may change over time. Check if the top ones are really out fully. Not stuck
Perfect. Thanks.
Thanks, I needed to understand the mechanism.
very helpful thank you 😄
I took the screws out and can’t get them back in lol any advice would be much appreciated 😂
May be a tough situation. The screws shouldn’t screw out entirely but if they do good luck. Hope you can catch a thread
It wasn’t easy but I ended up lightly hammering them into the hole and then I was able to screw them back in. Thanks! 😊
Thank you very much!
Ok, so where did you get that AWESOME long screw driver?
KLEIN tools. the longer the better
@@gregs_garage Thanks, I'll check that out. Multiple uses.
What is my rollers are fully expand it and I am off by like a quarter inch is there anything I can do because the frame of my window is warped
oh boy I don't know. Maybe put some kind of spacer in the track to make it straight again?
👍 good video
Which brand door is it?
My door has 2 screws on each corner, (a total of 8 screws). Is this normal?
The horizontal ones are probably the adjusters.
Thank you.
Thanks 😊
Thank you!
Great
No side screws on my door

good point

If you turn the screws and nothing happens, then what.
Something is jammed up. Or the whole opening has swelled or shifted. Retract them wheels as much as possible and play with it. Maybe pull the whole damn thing out of the track and experiment. A time consuming proposition.
Handy tip, make sure your screen door is not upside- down when you install it after fixing it.
Upside down? I don’t think so. Wheels are on one side and the handle would be obvious

Yep you cannot adjust junk. No point in such a video.
@@gregs_garage The point is laughs when it doesn't work

make your own video phelan
@@gregs_garage So who should I listen to?
@@michaelcrawford8401 carefully try what I did. Unlikely a disaster.
Don't unscrew them all the way!!!!!!
Thank you!
