Me neither! I spent 15 minute and lots of strenuous arm movement with no luck and then came to UA-cam and found his clips. Thank you man! My screen door is back in alignment!
After me sanding, cleaning, and oiling the rails. Taking the freaking door off and on and all this time it was just a damn screw. Thanks, my door is now fixed.
Thanks ! I lubed the tracks but it didn’t help. Noticed the screws used on the tracks stick out a lot but can’t be driven in deeper. But decided to look up a fix that might not require changing out the screws. This helps a lot! You’ve helped a busy mom of 2 ❤
What kind of metal lubricant is best? Regular WD-40 or the Silicone version? Or ordinary 3-in-One? I saw you used a spray but couldn’t see the brand or type. Sorry if this has already been answered. I searched in comments but didn’t see the answer. Thanks!!
If your sliding screen door fell apart like mine and needed metal corner braces to hold it together, I discovered that the best screws to use on the braces are computer screws because they are short with big heads and are meant for metal. By computer screws, I mean the ones used to close the case or attach a hard drive or hold in a video card. I tried tiny wood screws but the heads strip and the corner was unstable.
Will this work if one side is loose, wiggles, and comes off the track if not perfectly pulled straight? It’s the top right side of the sliding screen door. I’m assuming I need to adjust the bottom to raise it up? :/
Good video but I wouldn’t add lubricant. Typically, because the door is exposed to the elements outside it gets a lot of dirt, dust, pollen, etc., and all of that just attaches to the lubricant and eventually turns into a thick gunky mess that gets stuck in every nook and cranny of the rail system and door. Once that happens, you’re gonna have to work a whole lot harder to fix that door.
The real problem is these door screens are PURE JUNK! The roller design hasn't changed in probably decades. The rollers are flimsy and will dry out and crack eventually and the spring is just a crap piece of metal. Also the adjustment screw rarely works also. I think I made my point. A lot of the tracks are also just cheap plastic. I have 8 sets of sliding glass doors and ALL of them have screwed up screens. I have one that I have spent hours adjusting and it will hold the adjustment for a few weeks and then go right back to sticking. And all of them are less than a year old. Just a terrible design. Cheap junk!
Apply a thin coat of non-stick silicone lubricant to the top, and bottom, of the door track, and bit in the door frame, where the glass door latches. Clean-up any overspray, to avoid a slippery floor. Use a non-stick silicone lubricant, on vinyl-door tracks. If you have wood tracks, opt for a hard wax, such as candle wax, or beeswax instead of spray lubricant. If you’re ever unsure, or don’t have the right product on hand, there are specific door-track lubricants available at your local hardware store. Avoid oil-based lubricants, as these tend to attract more dirt than anything else, as you stated. 🙂
Duuuuuude I had no clue those wheels could move. I was about to buy a new door. You just made my day. Thanks!

Thank you so much! Single mom learning how to do normal things and you helped immensely 😊
I believe your dog was inspecting your work! Nicely done, sir! 👍😁

It ended up being the same issue for me
Fixed a 25 year old headache in 2 minutes thanks to this video lol

THANK GOD FOR YOU!!! I didn't know what I was supposed to be looking for or doing!💯🙏
Well, this solved my problem. Thanks! There is no up and down movement on the door but now I know there are screws. Yay!
You just saved me some money. Was able to fix my own screen door. Thank you!!
Great video, thank you for taking the time to make the video.
Thank you so much for this video! It was super helpful!

Thank you so much. I fixed it with your video😀
When you raise the door are you turning the screw clockwise?
would a spirit level help with the final adjustments
This helped. Thank you for your assistance.
What type of lubricant do you use to help the screen door slide better?
I use a bar of soap. You can also use candle wax. It lasts longer than WD40.
non-stick silicone lubricant
So helpful, but oh my goodness that door really needs a cleaning!
Thank you sir. All I need is Philips Screw Driver !
Thanks for the info. Good video.
You're a god among men
What lubricant is used?
Good advice ! thanks!
Super helpful!
I'm sorry, but I would like to see you do this completely alone WITHOUT help and guidance of puppy. Then we'll see who knows what.
Are there rollers up at the top of the screen that needs to be lubricated ?
Will this work if one side is loose, wiggles, and comes off the track if not perfectly pulled straight? It’s the top right side of the sliding screen door. I’m assuming I need to adjust the bottom to raise it up? :/
You can raise the bottom to pull the screen door up as well as adjusting the top rollers to "pull" up the door by adjusting it as well.
What lubricant was used? WD40????
Non-stick silicone lube.

I know the dog is optional, but I definitely recommend using it. You’ll get a better outcome.
Dogs like to run threw screen doors by accident and that will take your screen door off it's track too. Thanks for the tips.

Thanks...great video. It worked :)
FIXED! Thank you :)
Are these doors universal in size? I need to replace mine as the screen has holes from my dog :(
Just replace the screen. No need to replace the door.
DIY, or have someone install
pet-proof, window-screen replacements. 🙂
🐾. One of my felines enjoys climbing up-and-down my screens. 🙃
No rollers on my screen door. You just adjust it at the sides top and bottom. One screw for height and one for depth
Yay! Thanks!
Dog is optional aha 😂
Thank you!
What if it wont close at all
Wait?!? You could be at my house! Lol
Thanks but ewww... I can't believe you sprayed it with lubricant without cleaning or wiping the track door first.
Dog is optional. Hee hee. I’d like to hear the dogs opinion.
Next video show how to clean a filthy sliding door.
Ha ha ha - dog is optional- ha ha
Spray lube will attract dust & dirt.
Apply a thin coat of non-stick silicone lubricant to the top, and bottom, of the door track, and bit in the door frame, where the glass door latches.
Clean-up any overspray,
to avoid a slippery floor.
Use a non-stick silicone lubricant, on vinyl-door tracks.
If you have wood tracks,
opt for a hard wax, such as candle wax, or beeswax instead of spray lubricant.
If you’re ever unsure, or don’t have the right product on hand, there are specific door-track lubricants available at your local hardware store.
Avoid oil-based lubricants, as these tend to attract more dirt than anything else, as you stated. 🙂
