    Good afternoon Lynn and Arnie. Loved the tour. I feel like I recognize everything. Feels like home watching the video. You guys are my absolute favorites and you have given me such a deep appreciation for sheep. And of course the highlight for me is Heather and her baby. Have a great evening at a slower pace. Big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰

    Hi Lynn, Thank you for the tour of the farm! Love your mailbox, the farm sign. I enjoyed watching the dogs playing in the snow. The last lamb you tagged didn't even flinch when you tagged his ears, WoW even I flinched when l had my ears pierced. So happy you all will have an extra hour to have a break, spend it on yourselves. Thank you. ❣🌴🌹

    Thanks so much for the farm tour! I had a good understanding of the layout from your previous videos but I really enjoyed the review and always learn something new. You guys have a beautiful farm no matter the season. I just love the barn, especially the loft and try to imagine it being built over 100 years ago!!!
    It may just be the power of suggestion, but Snappy's little ram lamb that you tagged last, looks like Snappy!😁
    I've been trying to think of a name for Heather's lamb. The only thing that I can think of that relates to the name Heather, that starts with "L" is Leather!!😂 There is a song (Stevie Nick's maybe) that is titled Leather and Lace, so if you do decide to name her Lacey could be a suggestion.😊
    Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!!

    • @EwetopiaFarms
      @EwetopiaFarms  Рік тому +1

      Let's see if we end up keeping her. But no matter what, I love the name Lace or Lacey and I don't think anyone else has suggested that one yet so if you don't mind, I will use it for someone!🙂 That lamb did look like Snappy! Thanks for joining us again on the tour!😉🙂🥰

    This was such a special video for me, Lynn. But I'm not sure I can adequately explain why it was so special.
    I'll start with the easier part. I have never quite been able to grasp the layout of your farm. The house, the dairy barn, the coveralls. I just couldn't quite grasp the layout. Now I get it. Thank you.
    Second, I had to chuckle when you were explaining things and directions around your farm. And this is where I will struggle to explain it. My father passed away on Christmas Day in 2015. When I was younger, I would sometimes ask him about directions to get to a certain place. And he would say, "You go up this road, and then you turn north." Okay, Dad. Which way is north? Is that left or right? I have never thought about things in the north/east/south/west way. It's just not my orientation.
    So when you mentioned going north to the coveralls, it brought back memories of my father. To this day, I still grieve him. The usual triggers for memories of him are Klondike bars in the frozen food section of the grocery, or when my better half gives me fried chicken skin, which reminds me of how much my father liked fried chicken skin.
    "North to the coveralls." No, right to the coveralls, Lynn! 😛😛😛But thank you, Lynn, for bringing back a special memory of my father that doesn't cross my mind too often.

      One never knows what will trigger special memories! I'm glad today's video did that for you!🙂 I am sorry to hear that your dad passed away but happy that you have so many fond memories of him - not everyone has that.
      I am generally not a North/South person either but around the farm, it really is more accurate than left/right as that would always depend on which way you were standing whereas North is always North lol!
      Oh, and I only just clued in to the 556 fan club thing - I tend to be slow on the uptake but eventually get it!🤣🤣🥰

      @Ewetopia Farms yes I know snow can look beautiful. But 1 or 2 days a year is more than enough for me... than I am longing to see the green... I have that when I lived in Morocco for a few months... I was so happy to be home in Belgium to see green. Morocco is very yellow and dusty. But I still prefer that over the snow. I like snow when I can stay at home... and its gone in a few days... 😂... but such a long time like where you live. I wouldn't survive... also all my joints are hurting in winter...
      If it snows, it's also very quiet... and silence... like I say... good for a few days and than sun... 😂

    Thanks for the tour Lynn. Love your old home….if only the walls could talk! Poor Arnie, I bet it still hurts him how his Mother treated him and you about the farm. Is she still living and do they have any kind of relationship now? (If that’s too personal, I understand).
    Sounds like maybe she had other family members whispering in her ear.
    So glad you share your farm with us. I love your videos!

    • @EwetopiaFarms

      She is still living in a home. She was the instigator although she had other family support. I think being treated that way by someone you trust, especially your mother, changes you and your ability to trust. I have kids and can't imagine ever doing even the slightest thing to hurt them. But on a brighter note, thank you for following along with us! :)

    Your entrance sign advertises the registered Suffolks but not the Dorset? Did you start off with the Suffolk first?
    It’s always sad when families are divided by money. I’m so sorry. It seems like you both have risen above it all and are better people because of it. I figure those as example opportunities of ‘what I don’t want to be like or remembered as’.

    • @EwetopiaFarms
      @EwetopiaFarms  Рік тому +1

      Thanks. It isn't over yet but the pressure is off! Yeah.
      Yes, we started in Suffolks and the Dorsets came several years later. Our logo and advertising has been adjusted to reflect the change but the sign hasn't. I actually hadn't even realized that until you mentioned it! LOL!
      Unfortunately, our story is not uncommon. I wish I could say we are better people because of it, but what it taught us was that you should never sign a contract without fully understanding it no matter who wrote it, and the legal system works for the lawyer who is the best not by what is right, and trust no one. I personally feel it has jaded me. Before this, I could never imagine doing something like what we went through to anyone let alone a child. I am glad the nightmare is over.

    • @EwetopiaFarms
      @EwetopiaFarms  Рік тому

      Not too much waste but I don't think I would buy wrapped bales. However, wrapping your own bales is very handy. The biggest problem we find is that they can mold, they have to be eaten within a day of unwrapping, and they have a short lifespan in that they should all be fed before the next summer or they turn to muck. But they are great for getting in that lush first cut early instead of waiting for it to dry and get stalky.
