Where did you get your computer from? I have a 99 grand cherokee that has the same issue, I had replaced the computer but I didn't know about the skim at the time and so its been parked for over a year now. But I want to fix it and get it back on the road
Thanks man! I just picked up this jeep a couple weeks ago and now it's running cherry. JUST AN FYI FOR ANYONE WITH OVERHEATING ISSUES AND GETTING THE p1499 code this also fixed that. I guess my old ECU wasn't giving the solenoid power and thus the cooling fan only ran at low RPM where it should be running very high RPM to keep engine cool especially at idle! I thought it was the solenoid but after doing this I haven't had any problems!! Keep in mind this is only for the Hydraulic cooling fan on 4.7 GC's. Awesome video bro!
I wish I woulda known that you had to unplug the SKIM sensor BEFORE powering up the new “plug and play” PCM I had bought and installed into my WJ… It bricked the PCM as a SKIM equipped vehicle and made it have the exact same issue as before… They should put instructions and not just tell people “plug and play” when selling things like that… Sold the vehicle before I found out the proper way to do this cuz as he states in this video there’s a lot of bs and not a lot of this definitely works info out there… so thank you for making this video and showing people the correct procedure cuz I sure as hell woulda liked to have this knowledge prior to selling a beautiful vehicle for such a simple fix once you know how… the dealership couldn’t even tell me the correct way to remedy the issue and two shops couldn’t either…
Remove the SKIM halo. Remove the PCM on your firewall. Take it to your Auto Zone & they will delete the SKIM info. All you need is the VIN, mileage numbers. Put the PCM back. Don't replace the SKIM module halo & you're good to go. It's only $198 with the core or $398 without. Update: Make sure to disconnect the battery before removing anything. It's called "flashing" the PCM. My car is a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
THE "ACTUAL" SOLUTION:" On my 2000, the problem exists within the SKIM immobilizer. Remove the steering column cover by removing the single screw that holds the bottom portion on, then separate the two halves. Thereafter, unscrew the immobilizer upon removing the wiring connection, and carefully remove the round portion that goes around the ignition key tumbler. Carefully separate the two halves of the immobilizer and you'll see two relatively large solder points. They attach the wire that runs within and around the key tumbler. If you look closely, possibly using a magnifying glass, you'll see hairline cracks in the solder. If so, re-flow the old solder with some new solder and reinstall. Then, look at the lower half of your steering column cover. See that long boss that the screw you removed runs in? Take a Dremel and remove half of it long ways, leaving the half that isn't slamming into your immobilizer every time you tilt your steering down (Courtesy of Chrysler). Oh, and if you tilt the steering down, further hold it there, and the car starts when you turn your key, then this is likely your problem. I ran my car that way for years before figuring this out... cheers!
I knew it had to be something fixable without all the flashing, reprograming, etc...noise. Mine quit charging, solder joints cracked. Like you said couldn't see cracks, but I have one of those old magnifiers from Radio Shack the makes them visible. Also, desolder joints and reflow with 60/40 leaded solder. I read somewhere they use lead free solder, messing with tube amps that use lead free solder, heat and vibration causes broken solder joints all the time, reflowing with leaded fixes this.
Duuuuuuude. THANK YOU for that pointer. It worked. Our 2000 Grand Cherokee was intermittently causing starting issues with the SKIM thing, but I always managed to figure something out and get it started. But this last time it just refused to keep running no matter all my tricks. I saw your comment here, and figured I'd give it a try before pulling the PCM. I lowered the steering wheel and Ta-Daaaaa! So I know what to do next. Thanks again, good sir.
HEY FOUND THE FIX! I had this same issue. There is a rubber boot in the passenger side door and the power wire, which is a thick brown wire with a white stripe, is probably broken. These models made the ground wire good, but the power wire in the doors is too long, gets caught and snipped. I found a youtube video showing issue, checked mine and fixed in five minute.
Im 99% sure I got the same problem because I have the drivers door wiring problems too and it's cutting out with the key light coming on.if it fixes my problem I have to find this guy and pay him.
A couple of things. You need to also have the replacement PCM coded to your car. The people who deleted the SKIM on the replacement PCM would normally have asked you for your VIN so they can do that. Also, you MUST discard the skim reader so that it is never reconnected because if the reader is present it will reactivate the skim in the PCM and you'll be back to square one.
@@stuartbrand2592 I think you can see them advertised on ebay. You can send yours and have them do it or send your VIN so they can put it into the PCM. Get back to me if you can't find it.
@@chasermalloy7406 aeaecd for All Computer Resources. I've got a crack taxi driver who took it to another shop, they swapped the pc, never wrote data to new PCM, rather they just threw a new one from a scrap yard on it. Not very bright and if you don't know what you're doing it'll cost you. So far they're at $175 on diag time and that doesn't include to remove skim, remove and install PCM before. I'd say $400 ~ $500 minimum and then some. Stupid tax has to be included as well. People don't think about the end game generally.
@@dtnel Yep All Comp resources are one of the few who get it right. Most wreckers in my experience tell people they only need the PCM, key and skim reader to get their jeep going. Many of them know damn well it isn't but they sell the set anyway. So, as you say by the time the owner has then had it properly done ( Even if it's just having the car's vin entered ) on top of paying for the used PCM, they're at the sort of figure you're talking about. A/C Resources will either receive your original PCM, do the skim delete and return it OR they will send you a replacement Skim deleted PCM. In the latter case they will ask you for the VIN number of your vehicle which they will insert in your replacement PCM before sending it to you. It's normally around the $200 mark to do yours but I think the service is currently on special for $157 or something. You won't do better and I really think deactivating the Skim is the only sensible move. Unless you want to spend silly money making spare keys you could easily end up in the same situation again. Apart from that the skim reader units have also been known to fail which leaves you just as stranded. You can easily manage to immobilize the car a million ways if you're worried about that. BTW are you going to pay the shop who took on the job on a vehicle they don't have the required expertise on ? They could whistle for it if it was me.
Man... Thanks for the efforts and all the explanations you mentioned in this video. Just a slight correction, you still can use your old PCM without ordering a new PCM, just get the SKIM disabled as you've mentioned and you will be good to go. HP tuner device can get the job done without removing anything from the car at all... Thanks again.
Not sure if i understand .... why not just ground out all of the electrical charges overnight like you said and THEN REMOVE the SKIM module before you "reboot/ re-connect the battery? Not clear on why .... what does "flashing " do differently than "draining the electrical and rebooting ?
I’m pretty positive this is the issue I just ran into. I sent a brand new mopar Chrysler PCM for my 05 LJ to Mark at Wranglerfix to be programmed. It looks like they programmed the computer disabling the skim in the computer; however, I have a sentry key immobilizer module attached to the steering column and two keys with the fob that all work together with a PCM that has the skim enabled. So when I installed the programmed PCM earlier today, used the factory chip key, sentry key immobilizer still connected, the Jeep is cranking but there’s no fire. I had no clue about this. Wish I would have been asked this prior so smething like this wouldn’t have happened. I’ve removed the sentry key immobilizer, but was told that there’s no going back once you try with the immobilizer connected- because that connector and it’s wires go directly to the pcm plug and sends it information. The sentry key immobilizer sent information to the pcm that has no skim enabled and activated it is what I been told. It looks like the pcm needs to be reflashed and programmed to my vin and mileage again deleting the skim within, except this time with the key immobilizer out of my Jeep and disconnected it shouldn’t set the PCM off to prevent it from starting. I’m really at a lost for words and have had a migraine for the past 8 hours, reading up a storm about this. This is what looks like happened. The only question I have though is what key am I to use once I get the pcm reprogrammed without the skim and no sentry key immobilizer installed on my Jeep- which key do I use to turn the engine? And will using one of the programmed keys corrupt the pcm again causing another problem like this? I have two chip keys, and I have a non chip key.
Before sending the pcm back to Florida (I live in Toronto), I’m going to try 1 thing that I can’t stop thinking about....and that’s the crankshaft position sensor. I’m going to replace it. It’s a crank and no start issue I’m having- the cps error code wasnt showing BUT back in December it came on and my Jeep acted so crazy. It needed to crank longer normal to turn over and then immediately the engine cel was flashing....knew smething was wrong...drove less then a kilometre and the engine started hiccuping and almost stalled. I drove it back home and check the codes and got the cps error code, so I removed it and there was about a quarter inch of oil and dirt at the end of the sensor preventing it from reading the teeth and throwing the timing off. I cleaned it all off and it fired right up, problem never returned. But it’s making me question now since this happened if that sensor needs to be replaced entirely, not just cleaned. For the hell of it and whatever it’s worth I’m just going to replace it entirely tomorrow and see if the engine fires before sending the pcm back. It’s been a nightmare with my Jeep for over a year now.
Yup. I know this now. Learnt the hard way. But what I’m wondering is if the pcm can have the skim removed from it now after having it activated through the immobilizer? And if yes, what key would I use to turn the engine over after I get the pcm back and without the Immobilizer connected? I have two keys with a programmed chip and a key without a chip.

I have a 2000 grand Cherokee with this problem. It was pulled behind a motor home and is in mint condition. The odometer say 175,000 miles but there is no way it has 175,000 driven miles. The driver seat barely has anywhere on it and almost looks just like the rear seats that look brand new. It’s been sitting up since 2018 and I’m just now seeing this video. I would love to get it running and start driving it again. So let me get this straight…. What I need to do is pull my PCM out and order a new one. But when I order it, I’ll have to tell them that I want the skim to be disabled, or laying dormant, right? Also if you’re ordering a new one, what is the purpose of getting it flashed? What does he mean by that? Any help would be appreciated because this excites me
All computer resources have done a great job with my Jeep's computer also. Quick turn around and no hassle warranty. But I am confused why you would want to bypass the skim module. These old ignition switches will probably start with a spoon if it wasn't for the skim code
Also what you can do is when you're taking battery terminals off put the two battery terminals together do not have them connected to the battery and connect the positive and red together and make sure they're not touching the battery obviously don't blow anything up and hopefully they'll reset your PC you been there done that
I am curious. Maybe you can figure this out, maybe not. When you unplug the skim unit, there is what 3 wires? 4? Is it possible to figure out what kind of 'signal goes through these wires? And then 'fool' it? Could it be as simple as just cutting a wire or three? Or cutting two of the wires and splicing them together? To make the PCM always think that the skim unit it sending the signal for 'key present'....
I was thinking the same thing since you can put a Field Replacement module (basically a resistor 50-100 Ohm) when the ECM not sending 12v to alternator. Run a Seperate external voltage regulator.
How do you do this? I have a 99 one ower a shop 20 yrs ago installed remote start and bypassed skim its looking like. i just cut what was left of remote start wiring and wired factory colors back now it starts but shuts off if i dont rest my foot on petal. There was 2 relays wired in the mess that was making it run since but recently having pw and gauge issues
Well this might be a temporary solution take the battery terminals off both of them unplug skim code reader from underneath the steering column and pray or work
My question, I ordered a new or used pcm, ignition, skim and key that all came together and we put it in, car cranked but didn’t start, but the key light did not come on. I never got it started before the key was lost by ????? ( wasn’t me) can I just take the computer out, get the computer flashed and take out skim, and then install the old ignition that has a key? Or is computer not capable of forgetting the former skim?
I watch a lot of different people making a lot of different videos you did a really good job no idea which was a little bit more clear is did you use your original PCM and have it flashed and have them put re-put the Vin number in and leave a skim dormant
Had just one original key, so I copied couple of after market keys from, then I installed my original key close to skim module with cable tie and left the key there for ever, last thing was to put the plastic cover back to its place and the job was done, my Jeep is running perfect with any regular copied keys, this was 4 years ago, problem solved, no pc , battery, water tank, some bolt and so and so removal required, no dealer no locksmith no programing, cost me only 2 keys from Amazon.
i tried this method with my two original jeep key the main one is duplicate keys but the method does not work however I did put the main key attached to the SKIM and with the other duplicate of the keys to start but nothing I don't know if I still have the same problem
I got a P1686 code on My 2002 Dodge Durango and i had already replaced my ECM but i didn't drive much then suddenly when i did it started acting up as your Jeep did and i don't and haven't used the Original FOB Key since i got the car from my Aunt. Do you think it could be the SCIM for me also ?
thanks for the video my friend , I have a 2002 jeep gran Cherokee , there is no communication with my scanner, , no power to the coils nor the injectors, cranks but won't start, , can the skim cause this problem or its just the computer that is bad? thank you.
Can you still use the chopped key if you do this. ?? I bought a 2000 grand Cherokee but had a 02 motor put in. Prior to my purchase. And has only 1 key ( chipped). Jeep starts for 30secs and dies . Also sounds like relays under hood are clicking with lights flashing when battery is hooked up , Guy I bought it from said needs a new pcm - but with the clicking relays and lights flashing while battery is hooked up. Confuses me . The Jeep does start but pretty much immediately dies won’t stay running. Is it pcm or ??? I’m lil baffled and don’t wanna throw $ out chasing a fix.
Hey brother. I have a fob and out a new battery and now having all sorts of issues with electrical components. Apparently that new battery opened a can of worms. I’m having issues now first I noticed all clusters stopped working. Sometimes door sometimes locks, etc… do I replace driver side door control unit? Pretty lost here for first steps getting a lot of different info lol
Because the ecu vin number must match the other modules vin numbers or the car will not start. Like in a 2008 charger, the engine ecu must have the same vin number as the wireless ignition node and the cabin control node/body control module. If any of the nodes has a mismatched vin number, it will enable the security lock out and the car will not start.
Do you have to get a new computer or can you just flash the old one or erase the old one . or is there a way to test the skim unit to see if it is bad. I’m asking because the original key no longer works , alarm came on during hurricane Ian , then afterwards it no longer starts Any help would be appreciated, in florida dealing with hurricane and no Jeep
I'm having similar issues with my 2000 jeep grand cherokee limited so I just ordered a new computer and am going to do the same as you did in this video. You mentioned any issue with wiring or sensors can cause problems with the skim unit. My question is, if I replace the computer without the skim activated and whatever issue, wiring, sensor...whatever remains, will that cause the new computer to fail or is it all in the skim? Will deleting the skim keep my cherokee running even if there may be wiring or sensor issues? Funny thing is everything works as long as the engine isn't running. Once it's running that's when everything goes out and the key light comes on. No power windows, locks, gauges, etc... but when the engine is off but the key is turned on everything works fine. Thank you and great video.
Very nice video. Do you have any idea if this can be done with a 2009 pt cruiser? It looks like everything is the same. That would be nice if I could get it done to my pt. Right now I’m just troubleshooting it but I would definitely like to bypass the skim module. Thanks
I have an 02 grand Cherokee I was having the same issues would start and stall with the security key on. Replaced the pcm and now it runs perfectly fine but my whole dash cluster is out. Any suggestions on what to check out or am I just hunting for a lose or broken ground somewhere. Thanks for any and all info
@@meganlynn4365 honestly couldn’t figure it out. I believe when I ordered the new computer with the skim module deactivated and installed it I should have actually removed the skim module from the ignition before I starting the Jeep back up. Idk if that’s why it started and ran fine just no dash cause security system was deactivated so it let it run but at same time without removing the module it tripped the alarm so dash wouldn’t work and and security light was still on. I drove the Jeep like that for probably about 2 years never any issues but sunroof also had been draining into foot wells so idk what all was corroded. If I were to do it again I’d buy pcm with skim deactivated remove skim from steering column install the new computer then start it up. I’m by no means a professional and this is just from memory from a few years ago of what I had read. Sorry for your troubles definitely a pain in the butt. If you figure it out let me know I’d be interested.
Hi i got an xj jeep 95 model took motor harnes and trans i need to do an omni bypass or does it have a skim unit basically am looking for which wires will start the car on the 95 pcm
I have a question... I’m not experienced in mechanics... what should I be asking a mechanic specifically to determine if he/she can indeed complete this task❓
I am unclear on what he did in the second part after he removed the battery and the rest of the stuff. I saw him take the SKIM out under the steering wheel (in the first part), but it looks like he just unplugged and plugged the same stuff back in in the second part. Was this to reset something, or did he actually remove something (permanently) in that area?
I don’t get the reasoning behind why someone would want to remove the SKIM. Your loss of gauges and the SKIM light turning on is because your ECU is dropping off the PCI bus and the cluster and SKIM are losing communication. This is a common failure. The SKIM very rarely ever fails. The fix is replacing the ECU.
Reekor my ECU was bad so I removed the skim why I was at it when your off reading and you get that skim wet it’s screw up that’s why I did away with it
However it could be the key or skim itself. If u wanna save a little bit of money aka dealership. I called them n they quoted me the price of a key 150 on 03 GC LAREDO, the skim unit 260 plus. Duh I'm knocking out 2 birds with one move by getting a new pcm flashed with the skim deleted therefore eliminating the cost.

Please give any ideas or advice. We feel it’s something pretty simple that we can do before we have to send it to a garage.
Any issues of with the abs module? That’s my issue at the moment because I bought a ecu with the key and immobilizer but abs light stays on and was told that the abs module had to be programmed
Good day, I tell you. The same thing happened to me and a mechanic saw it, but I don't know what made him say that in the end he said we checked the transmission spark sensor but I don't know if it's that or what do you recommend doing?
Theres no such thing as a transmission spark sensor? Theres a TCM transmission control module that controls the solenoids in your transmission for shifting ,etc.
@@jonathanduncan3870 lol, he was talking about the transmission Park/Neutral position, without it, the PCM won't ground the starter relay. The PCM needs that and the immo to ground the relay. Unfortunately there is little information regarding the immo so, diagnosing that is usually tricky if the PCM is the one that is acting up or the key or SKIM(WCM) module itself.

Is there any videos showing how I can do this?
@@jeffvantslot5162ok so your truck was starting but cutting off then you just lowered your steering wheel and it stayed running?
Id like to know... From the original video; do you leave the part that goes around the actual key cylinder OFF?
HEY FOUND THE FIX! I had this same issue. There is a rubber boot in the passenger side door and the power wire, which is a thick brown wire with a white stripe, is probably broken. These models made the ground wire good, but the power wire in the doors is too long, gets caught and snipped. I found a youtube video showing issue, checked mine and fixed in five minute.
Good job man thank you so much
This was my problem! Bro I would kiss you right on the mouth for saving my ass!
Can you link the video here please?
How do I find your video
Im 99% sure I got the same problem because I have the drivers door wiring problems too and it's cutting out with the key light coming on.if it fixes my problem I have to find this guy and pay him.
A couple of things. You need to also have the replacement PCM coded to your car. The people who deleted the SKIM on the replacement PCM would normally have asked you for your VIN so they can do that. Also, you MUST discard the skim reader so that it is never reconnected because if the reader is present it will reactivate the skim in the PCM and you'll be back to square one.
Where does one find a skim deleted pcm?
I have a 98 with the 5.9.Can I use a Dakota r/t pcm?
How do you remove it with the tuner?
That is not true 😢 sorry you need to √ into that better
I actually tried this and bought a computer with the skim deleted and did what he said and it worked

You have to unplug the skim underneath your steering with before putting pcm back in or it locks it
Good job man thank you so much
Other than the 3 commercials......great video
3 commercials saved you potentially $1000s from the dealer and probably made this guy a dollar fiddy for the knowledge he shared. I'll take the commercials if it buys him a beer for helping me out
Thanks so much!!! I really appreciated watching the video you made on the SKIM UNIT. Great going guy!!!
Hey. Out of curiosity could you have also just called a locksmith to program a new key and would have that worked? I’m experiencing the same issue.
I had 3 different locksmiths look at mine and all that happened was I paid them to tell me they couldn't fix it.
Any help would be appreciated because this excites me
Great video! Where did you get your ecu reprogrammed?
All computer resources have done a great job with my Jeep's computer also. Quick turn around and no hassle warranty. But I am confused why you would want to bypass the skim module. These old ignition switches will probably start with a spoon if it wasn't for the skim code
They are way too much trouble since the car is rendered useless once they anti theft is activated. I'm just going to buy a good steering lock instead.
Dude great video man, on top of showing us how to delete this stuoid trouble prone skim, you tell the sizes of each nut and bolt. Kudos buddy
Just wire tie a chip key next to skim above lock and never worry about it again.
Hey, could you help me finding a suitable PCM for my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Located in Norway
Totally been looking for your channel! Love it! Have an 2004 JGC!
Didnt work for me
Also what you can do is when you're taking battery terminals off put the two battery terminals together do not have them connected to the battery and connect the positive and red together and make sure they're not touching the battery obviously don't blow anything up and hopefully they'll reset your PC you been there done that
I am curious.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ALSO ? MY ALARM WENT OFF A WEEK LATER AND CANT SHUT IT OFF .AND NO LONGER HAVE THE IMOBILIZER.
I was thinking the same thing since you can put a Field Replacement module (basically a resistor 50-100 Ohm) when the ECM not sending 12v to alternator. Run a Seperate external voltage regulator.
It's wild to watch how long this takes, when I can just do this is 5 minutes via OBD... lol
Well this might be a temporary solution take the battery terminals off both of them unplug skim code reader from underneath the steering column and pray or work
So I wouldn’t need to buy a pcm right away and it should still run?
Do you have to change the PCM? If so where do you get it?
This is why 97-98 are my choice of years for the xj .
You're a bloody legend! Thanks heaps👍
Thanx u guys my jeep is now working I did it myself n it saved me a lot of money
How did you do it yourself?
I watch a lot of different people making a lot of different videos you did a really good job no idea which was a little bit more clear is did you use your original PCM and have it flashed and have them put re-put the Vin number in and leave a skim dormant
great video Ronnie!
Shit I had a good chuckle at this, modern day genius.. Will use this trick myself, thanks mate👍
i tried this method with my two original jeep key the main one is duplicate keys but the method does not work
however I did put the main key attached to the SKIM and with the other duplicate of the keys to start but nothing I don't know if I still have the same problem

Thanks man. Big help bro. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
thanks for the video my friend , I have a 2002 jeep gran Cherokee , there is no communication with my scanner, , no power to the coils nor the injectors, cranks but won't start, , can the skim cause this problem or its just the computer that is bad? thank you.
I am having the same problem , have you figured out how to fix it ? I think i have tried everything.
Very good demonstration
Long term storage mode, pinch & pull, wait , pinch and push.
Why do you need to program the new pcm to your vin??
Because the ecu vin number must match the other modules vin numbers or the car will not start. Like in a 2008 charger, the engine ecu must have the same vin number as the wireless ignition node and the cabin control node/body control module. If any of the nodes has a mismatched vin number, it will enable the security lock out and the car will not start.
So the fix is changing your pcm? That’s not a bypass. That’s a delete of skim function.
Wait wait wait…. So I just unplug the skim and I’m good?
I took the slim out send it in like you said they sent it back they said they erased it or deleted it wherever start but won't turn over
Do you have to get a new computer or can you just flash the old one or erase the old one .
or is there a way to test the skim unit to see if it is bad.
I’m asking because the original key no longer works , alarm came on during hurricane Ian , then afterwards it no longer starts
Any help would be appreciated, in florida dealing with hurricane and no Jeep
If your old pcm works you can use it
I'm lost....so you are fitting another Ecu that has no immobiliser?
Best regards
What other one on the bracket?? Missed a whole part there...dod you get a new one, did uou have to reprogram etcetc...
My 2000 Jeep grand Cherokee pcm is 637AF had issue , can I change to other number with out reprograming ? , can I useful from this way ?
Very nice video. Do you have any idea if this can be done with a 2009 pt cruiser? It looks like everything is the same. That would be nice if I could get it done to my pt. Right now I’m just troubleshooting it but I would definitely like to bypass the skim module. Thanks
I have an 02 grand Cherokee I was having the same issues would start and stall with the security key on. Replaced the pcm and now it runs perfectly fine but my whole dash cluster is out. i know this is a long shot, but did you ever figure out what was wrong? my 01 GC is doing the same thing!
A mechanic probably won’t do this
Great video.
So basically this video just shows how to swap your PCM
Reekor my ECU was bad so I removed the skim why I was at it when your off reading and you get that skim wet it’s screw up that’s why I did away with it
Is this the reason my keylight flashes
However it could be the key or skim itself. If u wanna save a little bit of money aka dealership. I called them n they quoted me the price of a key 150 on 03 GC LAREDO, the skim unit 260 plus. Duh I'm knocking out 2 birds with one move by getting a new pcm flashed with the skim deleted therefore eliminating the cost.
I’m concidering deleting my skim because the skim is causing a draw from the battery, that’s a solid reason I feel like
I'm swapping a different motor into my xj, that's why I want to bypass it
Hi, My Ignition Key circuit is damage and rusty, can you share how to obtain a circuit for a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7L V8 without going to the Dealer? Do you think I probably have to do skim delete?
I wonder would this same method work on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK 2.8 CRD??
Put black tape over light is easy
Your awesome. We are thinking this could be our issue our jeep runs but sometimes it doesn’t start and then it sometimes it shuts down while I’m driving. We think we did everything else.

I liked the video showing how to remove and replace the PCM, but a Jeep dealer could have made you a key for $60 in about 15 minutes.
In my state it was 200 and I had to have it towed no there way they said that’s coming from two dealers near me
We had it reprogrammed... NO LUCK...
@@medinatabor6492 If you had the car's own PCM skim deleted it should be fine. If you used a replacement PCM it needs to be flashed to your car's VIN number. If you did one or the other and it doesn't work your problem must be elsewhere.
