During my wedding we walked out to this, as the groomsmen and bridesmaids collected near the exit, and we re-entered when Angel does. It was GLORIOUS!

Yeah.....I totally did. I love this show so much.
What really gets me is how Jonathan Larson simultaneously wrote his entire heart into RENT, and at the same time he wrote his own eulogy. Angel ended up being a very real representation of him. When Angel walks back onto stage at the end, it's like Jonathan walked back onto the stage.

I get choked up every single time Angel runs back onstage, no matter which version it is. Absolutely perfect! Long live Rent

I used to be a huge -- and I mean HUGE -- theatre nut. I left the theater because, well, people change. But I NEVER will forget this play. It deserves so much more than that.

The ultimate moment in this musical. My theater group is performing this in a few weeks. If only Mimi lived for many more years, except in her current condition, she probably won't last another few hours. RIP Mimi :(

I cried in the Live (or Pre recorded) Event on FOX when they showed Jonathan Larson's picture and Angel came to join his friends at the end 😭😭 so moving... I love RENT
I know Millennials who don’t know this but play. Goodness gracious they have missed out on so much. This play has so much culture in it.
lord jesus no matter what I will always cry when Angel comes back on stage because I just see that pure happiness on his/her(They use both in the play idk what the correct gender term is)face
in some versions she mutters "I jumped over the moon" while still half asleep, and then after roger says What, she says the " a leap of ...moo." while she is slowly waking up. i do not think she should have died al all, but i do agree that when mimi suddenly jumps up or lets out a huge gasp, it is sort of off putting.

@AnnaTenberg He was the original Mark Cohen when the show opened Off-Broadway in 1994 and on Broadway in 1996. This was the very last production of RENT on Broadway, so he had to be there for the tribute!
