It’s always the way when you start to get ahead financially something always crops up or the weather is terrible!!! I’ve just finished fitting my diy wfp system so really need to claw back some earnings back now , even the bad days still bear working for someone else! All the best for 2024 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's comforting to know that I'm not alone in facing these challenges. Wishing you all the best in your efforts to recoup your earnings! very much sure that you will do it mate, a can do attitude works wonders.
Great video and really nice to hear the honesty of running your business. I do windows as well and people don’t always see this kind of side of running a business.
Thank you 🙏 it does feel like a roller coaster 🎢 at times. It all evens out in the end though. I think if you can pay the bills then you are doing well. Anything else is very good.
Love these 'day in the life' videos! Couldnt agree more about December. Worst month of the year, takings wise, and the most outgoings 😭 Hope the van passed its MOT, and your wife had a lovely birthday! Soon be Spring and shorts weather 😎
Hi mate thank you yes she had a nice birthday thank you. December definitely sucked! Not looking forward to this week with the weather but it is what it is. Sure we will get through it but no doubt not easy.
Hopefully 2024 is a good year and you can build up some reserves. Weather not looking great for this week, hopefully not too cold - heater in van time! Wish your wife a Happy Birthday. I use through floor rollers but only thread the hose through once a day, I have tape on hose about 5 meters before the end and when that gets to my cloth I stop winding, then I just place the end in the van, take up slack and close the doors on the pole hose. The rear door seal has enough give so it doesn't damage the hose but holds it firm enough to stop it slipping. It only saves a few seconds on each job but saves bending down so much!
Cheers Ched 👍 heater will be on standby! I’ll pass on the birthday wishes mate. Good tip there on the floor roller guides, all these little things do help out. Don’t really want to be bending down to much lol 😂
Thank you 🙏 mate so far so good but definitely cold. Hope the snow stays away. I used to be based your way. Watch your channel buddy. There are always some people who are worse off.
@yourcleanerwindows6969 i will not be doing a Live tonight, i have been fixing an old Gardiners backpack and tried to film that. Took longer than i thought but i will be going back to the Lives next week mate.
If i was you i would think about other services i can offer on wet days. . , winter etc... i am sure there are other things you possibly. do to prevent worry about income. I admire your work ethic. for example that house @ 2 minutes i would be able. to get alone for that single house anything between 90 and 160 GBP in Germany
I've never really had a bad winter until this year, it would be nice to have some indoor work for sure. Do people in Germany have internal and external windows cleaned? Over here in the UK it is external windows only. You get the odd internal windows but not every clean. You just have to keep going as one thing leads to another.
Totally agree 👍 with you. Don’t mind when there’s a good reason. This year I will have to address this. It’s not good when you turn work away too. Just replace serial skippers & late payers.
@craigbrassington8766 i do prefer the proper style flow controller like the one on my 45 Ltr Trolly from Xline. But you can go by what you see to change the flow rate. But it can get knocked and change the flow rate. As long as you go off the sound of the pump you can usually tell if it is higher or lower than how you like it set. It is a handy little thing to have.
I know its a family business and you want to give everyone a wage, but I can quite easily do £350 on my own in a day. Are you not putting way to much labour into a van and increasing your costs unnecessarily?
@user-fp3ip1yu9k i have put some money into that van like when i needed a new engine! Thing is i know what work it has had so i will keep it for now. It is a good point though mate. My daughter will be moving at some point in the future, so my son and i will be working to keep up with the work. Hopefully up our money a bit to then.
@adornwindowcleaning7739 It is hard to get things right, i find this time of year the windows are quicker to clean than in the summer. I have tried rinsing on the glass but it doesn't work for me. Anything to speed up work is great but its clean when its clean and takes as long as it takes. These problems though test you on how much you want to make it all work. Get through these challenges just gives you confidence when facing hard times.
@@nielslammens9702 I believe that, something I have often thought. Last 2 years I’ve mentioned to grow we need another van. There are reasons why we haven’t though.
Impressive van setup. 👏
Thanks! 👍 doesn't happen overnight LOL but if your happy with the tools, i find you are more productive.
When it rains it pours....literally. Best of luck fornthe new year
Hi Chris, yeah you right there lol 😂 MOT today 🤞something goes right. Hope you had a great Christmas and a good new years

@@CrystalCleanWindows agreed! Hand warmers will be our friend this week. Hope you guys have a good one 👍
December was a bugger for sure work wise. That looked like Sutton St Edmunds??
I used to clean a few there back in the day.
Hi mate you're right that is Sutton St Edmunds! I live in Parson Drove. Glad to see the back of December.

Chin up, hope January has been kind to you with all the flooding 🤦♂️

Any live stream planned for tonight? If not when will they be back?

You need to get rid of those skippers , unless it's major building work there's no excuses

Do you find the flow rate on backpacks is rubbish compared to a proper system ?

It's a tough slog. No end in sight with all this rain and storms. All my big overheads are paid, time to make some money.
Had to buy two new pole sections always something lol, had a couple of windy days hope they pass. Soon be moaning about the yellow grass!
I know its a family business and you want to give everyone a wage, but I can quite easily do £350 on my own in a day. Are you not putting way to much labour into a van and increasing your costs unnecessarily?
Do feel for you - similar problems here! Think we all want to know the secret - one-man easily earning £350 per day?
@user-fp3ip1yu9k i have put some money into that van like when i needed a new engine! Thing is i know what work it has had so i will keep it for now. It is a good point though mate. I also find on days with a lot of different cleans, that 2 seperate vans results in e.g. 10 cleans each instead of 1 van 2 people only 16-17 cleans

Paying tax 😂 thats your biggest mistake 🎉🎉🎉
I am not tax registered but i do get a tax bill being self employed. Saying that we pay tax on top of tax anyway 😂
