I just landed my first commercial jobs and it is due to your abundance of information like this and that is why I will always buy my supplies from you! Thank you for everything!
Super informative!! Been using sorbo exclusively for 6+ years and the cons you discussed about them along with its fixed angle are spot on. Now you have me wanting to buy a 40 degree ninja along with a moerman
Geat video, thanks. I'm in New Zealand and we don't have a lot selection available to look at in store, so I've never seen an unger handle. I have an ettore pro plus for in skylight boxes. I use the ettore rubbers, and it looks like your using an ettore channel in the new moremon multi angle handle. So I'll get one and give it a go.
The handles I use daily and mainly are : - Moerman Excelerator 2.0 - Moerman Excelerator - Unger Ninja 40° - Unger Ninja 30° I began to work by hand with Unger Ninja 40°. Later, when I began to use the Moerman Excelerator with the 10° - 25° - 40° angles, I was using the 25° for handwork and the 40° for polework. It's a that moment that i decided to invest in Unger Ninja 30° handles to work by hand with my Sörbo Quicksilver channels and to keep my Unger Ninja 40° for the polework with my Black Mamba Sörbo channels. To work by hand, I don't personnally find that it leaves more detailing on the glass with 30° and that it's more difficult for closing out (with Sörbo Quicksilver channels). It would be interesting that you film the difference you are speaking about. What I totally agree, is that Moerman Excelerator was a real gamechanger (mainly for polework with the quite loose swivel) and the Moerman Excelerator 2.0 is another new gamechanger with the -5° angle for jobs where there is something between you and the window. Thanks a lot for this video SteveO !
That's nuts, I use the 40° angle for hand work and 10° for pole work. I find that 40° on the pole makes straight pulling down nearly impossible and fanning a no go unless you are standing directly below the window against the wall, which is not what most storefront work. Crazy how different people's preferences and techniques can be!
After watching umpteen of your videos, I’ve just dropped you a sub. There’s some good channels on UA-cam for window cleaning but yours is the best I’ve come across so far. Cheers, from the UK 🇬🇧 👏
I recently started to use the moermann liquidator 2.0 with the ettore brass channel and i LOVE IT but only in the 20° angle tho.. then I actually made the "standard" sorbo channel fit into it, and i can ONLY use it in the 45 degree setting😳
Steve, You are a very intelligent man. Ive never watched anyone else because there is no reason to. from one detective analyzer to another. ... I can tell your opinion is THE WORD. an expert for certain
We just received the Unger 0-Degree to clean a 3rd story glass while standing on a 40' Scissor Lift with a platform that slides out 3.5' - kind of like walking the plank with handrails, we used a 4' Unger pole to reach the glass off the end of the platform. I definitely prayed on this job! Thanks for the recommendation on 0 Degree Unger.
Definitely need to step into better equipment. Added window cleaning to our services using box store equipment. Went this route to see if this service would take off.
Excellent explanation of the different angles. My top 3 handles I use all the time are the moerman excellerator, unger ninja & ettore ledge ez....but overall the excellerator is hands down the most multi-versatile tool, like you said a "Game Changer"
Great info! I use the -20 on a job where I have to reach over a railing, out about 10 feet away and slightly below me. Works great. I think I have a video of it if anyone needs it.
I just started to try and do pole work and I'm having a difficult time getting it down in terms of fanning. I have a unger industrial swivel handle and I think the angle is 40 degrees and the chanel is a 14". I seem to keep gripping too hard on one side and the other half let's go of the cleaner more. I've been trying over and over again on higher windows but I still keep having a difficult time. I have the swivel set to completely loose too and I can't seem to quite get the motion down to smoothly get the squeegee to fan properly
Hi Mr. Steve, it was only 2 months ago that I started using the squeegee for my profession in the field of general cleaning. Could you advise me? Better Unger Ergotech Ninja or Moerman Excelerator? Which instrument is more complete, versatile and balanced? excuse my incorrect english. Renato Fusaro. Italia
Would love to try the morman accelerator 2.0 if giveaways are still available. I have 3 jobs were the glass is below me and id love to try out the pole technique to save my back. Im an older dude and would be very appreciative.
Hello, just saw this video and it is super interesting. What's the difference between the Ninja 40° and 30° and there is a special use for each one or is just a choice. I mean for clean with pole or by hand? Thanks. Awesome content btw.
You can get a unger s or s plus channel to fit the ninja handle. Cut the head off a 4mm wide nail and place between the channel and handle at the back, cutting the width to size and.adjust the small screw on the release clip so it secures. It will alter the angle so it works best on a 30 degree handle which will become a 40 degree handle.
Awesome video and really well explained. Love the Ledge Ezy, the Unger Ninja and the New Moerman handles. But have never tried the Unger zero degree. I'll be ordering 1 today !!
Hey SteveO, awesome video! Thanks for information. FYI, I did break my 40% Unger. It fell off a roof and I told Unger about what happen on Facebook messages. and they were super nice. Sent a replacement handle plus a 18” and 14” for free. They are really nice company
I’m out of town till next Friday, the giveaway ended today, but I’ll be picking the winner next Friday because I don’t have my computer 👨💻 lol you all have a great week!!
Hey I have a question? Does channels affect the way you clean out windows? I’ve been using standard ones like the unger and ettore, I want to try brass channels to see if theirs a diffrance . I’m 17 and I started a widow cleaning service when summer began, things are starting to downfall and I’ve been detailing more at the end than I have. I’m thinking of upgrading everything I have.
I think it does, I've found ettore brass to be the most consistent across the glass and on the edges. windowcleaner.com/products/ultimate-squeegee-combo?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS I primarily use this in size 14" for residential
The brass channels with the Moerman 2.0 handle is perfection. Yeah, the brass channels are worlds better than the Home Depot aluminum Ettore. You'll never go back.
if u want to use standard, steel, chanell into ninja handle take a small diametre hose.. 7-10 mm cut on lenght and cover edge of chanel. then put into hadle and snap clip..
Aswseome videos and explanation. I have the fortune to have old Unger 0’, from West Germany. The pivot on them are freaking good. I love the the new Moerman handle on the pole, but I feel irritated with it in hand. It feels so loose, not so solid, fixed like the Ninja handle. Respect to you man!
17:05 This is the one my job set me up with. It's cool in the hand but for high windows I have to do weird side pulls to close. This video really helped me understand what to use. I've got some crazy stair cases with curved glass, omg I think the wag tail one would be way better than me doing short down pulls.
Finally bought the 40 ninja to give a try. because I needed another 30 degree because I was getting tired of carrying two channels and swapping them out because I only had one handle. now I have 2 30 degree handles and 1 40 degree handle. I'm PROBABLY gunna end up with having to buy another 40 degree handle. lol. at least 2 of each. but ive not tried the 40 yet. I usually do windows bottom to top. in a lower case n pattern. and I'm not sure how a 40 would do that. better or worse. might do a video about it.
What angle/handle would you recommend for an average person to use for their home windows where I have ground level windows running along a 1.6metre wide x 12 m long lap pool. We need to clean the windows on the outside often as the pool water splashes on them, has to be washed off with clean water by hose and then if not squeegeed off it leaves water droplet marks. We will need to use a pole, standing at the edge of the pool and reaching across to the windows at ground level (they are about 50cm from top to bottom). Not sure what length pole to buy either. I've looked at the Ettore one that can adjust from 0 to other angles but it seems that it would not be your choice. Would love to hear your opinion.
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner Thanks for replying. What angle do you think would be needed for the low windows reaching over the pool? I listened to your video and was originally thinking it would be a 0 angle which the excelerator doesn't have but maybe one of the negative angles will be the go. Anyway, I will try it and see. At least with the options we can use it with other windows where we can do them by hand without a pole. It really is a major pain having a pool running along low windows even if it does look nice. Wish one of us was a professional window cleaner!
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner Oh, yes, and what pole goes with these handles? I think we need something that goes to at least 2.5metres. I saw somewhere that you use the Ettore brass channel with this handle. What are the Moerman channels and rubbers like? There is a Moerman universal angle adaptor for extension poles - do I need this also? Sorry for all the questions. Not a professional window cleaner as you can tell.
Hey Steve, another great video! So since I already have the original Excellerator handle, would you still recommend that I invest in the 2.0? I only use my Excellerator for pole work and use a Ninja 40° for all my hand work. Thanks!

Anyway, I've already done a few window jobs and it's been sweet. I love this and your other video about handles, however - I don't know anything about channels. How can I figure out what I need? Any tips are much appreciated. Thank you, sir!
Love your channel, love your info. Big fan. I absolutely love this video. I am struggling with angles with a basic window cleaning kit. I hate the skipping/ chatter going on on my window jobs. My question also pertains to soft, medium rubbers for classic brass channels? Is it solely based on the user or is it technic based? #PracticeMakesPerfect
Basic Unger stainless quick release handle. I have new a contour pro+ on its way. I'm hopeful it will help but I'm noticing that the soft rubbers are wearing out quickly so I also have some mediums on their way.
Is there a reason you don't just use an angle adapter on your pole .It will give you any angle you need on the glass, Plus works for all squeegees. No need to be adjusting angles on the squeegee it self.
Well the Liquidator 2.0 handle has many angles, and with that handle I can almost get every window except for the ones that need a ledger on a deep deep ledge, and adjusting the angles doesn't take much time at all. Are you talking about the wagtail angle arm?
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner No Steve, If you have an angle adapter on your you can use any squeegee. And on deep ledgers it can be used for this as well. Angle adapter allow you to adjust any angle you like. With any squeegee you you have.

Steve I'm having difficult quoting commercial jobs any tips ideas etc.. would be greatly appreciated
Did u ever figure it out? I am also curious
awesome video very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
What's your favorite channels Brass or stainless steel?
Todd Matthews brass
Ettore brass
Will the unger ninja 40 degree hold sorbo channel?
Aaron Cline yes
I prefer the 1.0 over the 2.0 love the unger 0°, but I'd never be without a wagtail ✌
David Gomez what squeegee do you currently use?
@@WindowCleanerBloke What angle adaptor do you recommend? Wagtail make one but it is out of stock in Aus. I think Moremon do one. So if you but a pole, an angle adaptor what squeeqee? I am in Australia and just DIY home window cleaner/
