Hi Carolyn. I think we've all been there, I know I have. When we are in the darkest moments of our lives and we see no light shining in the darkness. When we don't feel the presence of God. If it's just for a night or a few nights we can usually handle it, but when the Lord’s absence feels as if it is dragging on and on we can easily become depressed especially if we are not feeling well or have been up all night with a sick baby. And we cry out, "How long O Lord?" I love that you posted this and said what you did. We often, especially as new believers, but all of us feel we can't express feeling abandoned by God. We are so afraid other believers will question our faith, our love, and trust of the Lord. But believers often feel this way. It's okay to ask these things of God. If David, a man after God's own heart, can, if Elijah can feel abandoned, we can too. I love that you highlighted the prayer in v. 5/6 that can help us deal with these feelings and remind ourselves that God has been faithful in the past and will be faithful in the future. Beautiful page and timely sentiment. Blessings ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️
Thank you so much. I love the Psalms and the prayers in the Psalms so much, because they give such an example of feelings we go through and what to pray, and how in the end of the Psalms most of them point right back to trusting in God. I love what you said about how we all feel this way at times. When I've cried out to God, "How Long? Help me trust you through this," He has answered that prayer of carrying me through every time. Blessings to you! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️❤️
Amen ✝️🙏🏻
