Just a lovely page and meditation. I love the color you used with the stamp and that you didn’t let it overpower everything. It was just a nice backdrop. The girls and baskets of sunflowers are so cheerful just as thinking of our relationship with Jesus as a friendship is so heartwarming. Jesus is our Lord, our Savior, our brother and our friend. Just like the old hymn says, "What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!" It goes right along with what you said, Carolyn. Oh Carolyn, first thing, it's so nice to see you back. I'm so thankful you are feeling better and up to this longer video. I love this flip through, you promised and as always, delivered for your fans. I recall so many of these lovely pages when you created them. It was fun looking back at them. I loved that you began the video with your very first page and how doing it inspired you to continue. Your journey and prayers have comforted and helped many of us through difficult times, including me. Watching you work through the different mediums, even when things don't go as you had hoped, is so inspirational. I'm so impressed that you remember the specifics of your pages. I agree that your talents not only highlight Scripture but are also a form of praise and worship. You always give all the glory to God. Regarding the page you mentioned you might gesso over, that you used powdered water colors on (the green page). Please don't, I absolutely love it. The different greens remind me of the beauty of God's creation in nature. As soon as you turned the page to it, it took my breath away. It is simply lovely. It was fun seeing how your abilities to better express your vision for the Scripture improved page by page. It's impossible for me to choose a favorite. They are all so special and unique. A simple but beautiful page with a profound message of how important it is to always, on the mountaintops and in the valleys, give thanks to God. I admire your willingness to not only share your less than perfect pages but, most importantly, your less than perfect life. It encourages me. I'm so sorry you have been experiencing such difficulties and am praying for you. I'm introverted and tend to isolate when life is pummeling me. It has always been difficult for me to allow myself to feel vulnerable. I was raised to be strong and stoic and I often find myself struggling even to tell God how I honestly feel. Ok, my new favorite stamps are the flowers! So pretty and you did such a great job mixing up the colors and the green stems and leaves. I just love this page. I too have been dealing with some drama in my life lately that has been a real challenge. I was so upset a few days ago and felt desolate and alone, so your Scripture is perfect to remind all of us of His constant love and presence. When I was so low the other day, the Holy Spirit nudged me to one of my favorite Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 13. As I read it, I wept reminding myself of how much Jesus loves me and the perfection of His love. When I was through wiping my tears of thankfulness, I felt strengthened and refreshed. I remembered that we are never alone. Isn't the Spirit amazing to comfort and guide us so gently and sweetly? If we will only listen. Thank you, Carolyn. Hi Carolyn, I just found your channel and have watched a couple of your videos. I have not done Bible journaling yet but it interests me. I've enjoyed the videos and have subscribed to your channel.

So pretty. I especially love the textured leaves. Those green colors really popped off the page. I enjoy watching all the different techniques and products you use to do your journaling. You have so many nice stencils, I think the stenciling and the stamping with the oxide colors are my favorites. I like what you said about growing in our faith. It reminds me of the verse in 1 Corinthians 13. Speaking, understanding, and thinking like a child, but then when you are grown, how you put off childish things. I think this is less about age and more about maturity of faith. I know my faith journey has moved along at different speeds but looking back, I can see how far I've come. I don’t think we are ever past growing into His likeness until we are with Him. This page came out so pretty. I love the oxide pinkish color you first used too. So vibrant, your eye is really drawn to the swoosh. Refresh is such a great word because it is so true. My soul, my whole being is refreshed when I sit with the Lord even if for only a few quiet moments. Thanks to your promptings, I have worked really diligently at setting aside quiet time with the Lord, even if only a moment here and there throughout the day. I struggle so much with being still before God. I long to be so, but it seems so difficult to quiet my mind in this crazy out of control world. There is always some something intruding on my thoughts, something I haven’t completed, something I need to do, someone who needs my attention. I long to be Mary in a Martha world. Just yesterday, I was so busy doing this and that, that when it was time to read God's Word, I couldn't concentrate I was so tired. Even my prayers were fragmented and undirected. My spirit was the worse for my lack of planning. Thank you for your simple but eloquent prayer and reminding all of us of the importance of purposely carving out time to spend in His presence, even if it is just to be still and feel Him near.
