I'm in the Grace Bible Plan so it's Genesis & Acts for me right now. (LOVE your Bible Plan!!!)
Yes, I do Bible journaling but more with factual note-taking than artsy or personal commentary. Been doing scrapbooking for years, also quilting most of my life so a scrappy Bible is my comfort zone.

And pleeaaaaase, publishers, print journaling Bibles that are not just for artists, but for studiers. Please include footnotes and cross references. Please include a concordance. And, for older people such as myself, please make them a larger more readable font. I realize this makes a bigger Bible, I don't care. I will carry around a phone book size Bible if it has what I want in it. Just my two cents...

I'm 50 years old and have been a Christian most of my life. I was always afraid of highlighting and taking notes in case I made a mistake. I have a note taking bible that I bought two years ago. But I didn't take too many notes in case I ran out of room. Your videos have helped me give myself permission to write more in my bible. I have added paper, added more tabs, even added flaps and I am loving it!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Getting so much more out of my bible studies and the pastors sermons. Thank you for these videos.

If frixion pens fade, put the bible in the freezer for a bit...it will come back just fine. I was first introduced to Frixion pens as a quilter....and ironing gets rid of the markings....then quilters found out the marks come back if the quilt gets cold ( in shipping, usually) . ALSO fun. Write the boys little notes and hit the note with a blow dryer, so they don't see the writing....then, have them put their notes in the freezer to read the secret message.

Hey Faith, sorry for the long comment but what can I say!! You started me off loving my bible again….I’m a homeschooling mum of 6 little blessings and we were saved from darkness 6 years ago ~ (thank you Jesus 🙌🏼♥️) anyways I just found it hard reading my Bible through and not doing much else. I’m very creative and a visual person & I truly believe the Lord Himself led me to watch you! I hadn’t even thought about much more than highlighting a few verses before 😂 but now I have an interleaved bible (almost impossible to get here in Australia and expensive 🥴 but so worth it) as not only am I constantly in my bible now ~ and honestly getting annoyed at daily cleaning tasks etc cause all I want to do is bible study 😆 but the best part ~ my children are watching and copying!!! My little 8yo is “mum are you bible studying “” (she begs me to study throughout the day) she wrote (and she can’t write yet properly) Isaiah 59 😂 she puts washi tape around it and stickers to decorate it and she’s that obsessed I even just bought her her own proper bible and journal. My 11yo girl wants an interleaved bible for her 12th bday in a few weeks ~ and some items to study with. So I got her few pens etc she can’t wait to study Gods word a bit more creatively. I mean it’s changed everything for us! All glory to God but I want you to know the impact you’re having one people around the world. HOW GOOD IS GOD!
Wish I could chat with you, I watch you and so think we’d be BFFs 😂 if I lived near you, lol
Feel like I’m having a cuppa with you everytime I watch a video.
We’re making our own candles this weekend to create a lovely atmosphere when we study 🕯️
thank you Faith for your faithfulness in making these videos.
I hope and pray this encourages you
Praying for you and your precious family ♥️🙏🏼📖

I test my pens in the back of my Bible, too, but I don’t say “test”. I write the name of the pen brand that way I can refer back later to see which ones don’t bleed through. A couple more pens that don’t bleed through are the Pilot G2 and the ES Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen.

You have poured your heart and soul onto those pages and, thus, it is a living testimony of your faith, a memorial. I am so proud of your Bible and what it represents and I am not even exaggerating. ❤️🤗🙌 It is your creation, the fruit of your labours: only you can own it.

If you don't like all the lines and arrows to a specific word or phrase within a verse. You can highlight/underline your word or phrase. Then where you take notes write the verse number and that highlighted word, then your note. You'll know exactly the verse, word, phrase you were referring to without all the lines and arrows all over the page.

Thanks Faith! I always love seeing your Bible videos and I always agree with most of the tips you share hehe. I wholeheartedly agree to write small in your Bibles. The writing space is so valuable and you’ll regret wasting it..but you’ll never regret writing small and leaving space for future notes.
I personally enjoy using book tabs because it’s just easy for me to flip through to specific passages, especially when a preacher is going to many different verses. I tab them on top so I can still easily thumb through my pages on the side. Blessings to everyone who is starting out. These are wonderful tips ❤

I’ve been watching your videos for a few days because I was looking for ways to bring my creative brain with me into my times with the Lord instead of it being a distraction from me being in the word. I didn’t knots this Bible journaling was a thing. I’ve had bibles with lines in it but this is a whole different level. Spent HOURS in my Word today Just because pairing it with my creative brain made it easier to visualize what was going on in the text which of course starts making more insight and revelation pop up. I’m in Luke 4 and maaaan never read it like that! Thank you!

Right now I'm going through Revelation. I love using colored pencils , I know that when a word is highlighted in orange- my notes reflect the greek-hebrew- latin some sort of dictionary type meaning. Since I started seeing your videos I started that. Red always is messianic and God.... etc etc. The difficulty is running out of space , the binding just isn't going to hold. Your journey is awesome. I too have a Bible that is about 10th as full as yours. I have been working slow, but steady and the beauty she is filling up. When I first started doing so I was frowned upon, writing in the “BIBLE”. Well it did not deter me. In have always , written in may books, I had to use pencils so I could erase things in H.S. University well my books were not worth much on return so I kept them. GOD is so good to us why would we not write what he says to use through his word so we can understand what we have in our hands! Treasure Beyond our minds! Thank you for sharing this. I have plenty of ripping pages. Document tape is on my get list.

I love your Bible and love how one can build notes upon notes. I don't use the interleaved Bible, but I have a wide-margin Bible. There still needs to be more space in the wide margins for all the notes, so I have resorted to using Obsidian. I use symbols and keywords in my physical Bible; the more extended notes go in Obsidian. I have a specific symbol for obsidian notes as well. Because obsidian syncs with my phone, I can access, update and add to my notes on the fly. I like to add maps and charts to my Bible and use Tomoe River paper as it is thin. Thank you for the inspiring work that you do!

Im glad youve found a system that works for you. I have a hard time using a physical bible anymore because I love doing most of my study with online tools that allow me to access the Greek, Hebrew, easily cross reference, and see all the other places in scripture where the same words are used. I rarely stay in one spot in the Bible. I try to get a whole bible view on whatever it is Im studying which makes it difficult to even know where I would write certain things if I were to journal in a physical bible. Years ago I would have all my tools in tons of books all over the table, but its just easier now to have everything at my fingertips on the computer.

Last year I started using the Olive Tree app so I can keep all my Bible study notes in one place. Like Faith uses the same Bible so she can continue to build on what she’s learned, I’m using this app in a similar way.
I will often write my notes in my Bible and then dictate them into the app so I have them in both places. I typically like using a new Bible each time I read through it and so this helps me gather my notes in one place.
You can buy resources for the app and I have invested in dictionaries and commentaries, etc. So instead of having a physical library like Faith does, I have a digital library I take with me everywhere.
For example, I was doing a Bible study on my phone on my walk the other day when something popped into my mind. I did a word study and saved it in Olive Tree while on my walk. 😂 👏

I highly recommend a loose leaf Bible. No more swollen spines and costly rebinding. There are even pre-made dividers and pockets for mini binders and standard binders. Just sayin' . . .😊

I've been using Frixion pens for my notes because I was able to find them in .038 and because they're erasable. Yes, heat can cause the ink to disappear, but just the same, cooling it off can make any missing notes re-appear. All is not lost! Throw your Bible in the fridge for a bit and that pink ink will reemerge.

For what it is worth, I think your notes should be typed up now for the sake of redundancy. And it would make for a lot of thought and reflection going through page by page of your own bible notes. You can never have too many backups!

Thank you so much Faith for this channel. You have inspired my journey to Bible Study. Yes, there's not enough Interleaved Bibles. I ordered one before the Holidays and didn't realize it's on backorder. It should arrive later this month. Meanwhile, I've been adding pages into my current bible (which I got off 1 of your videos) to mark and write notes. I plan on transferring those into my Bible when it comes. Have you ever used washi tap as a tab? Would that work?

I'm doing the 90 Day Bible Challenge. I have a reading plan to read the entire Bible in 90. It's a lot of reading in a short time. The point is to just read and not take a lot of time in any area. It is a disciplined goal. It is not meant to be a study. It is to get a big picture and seeing what is actually written in it.
I like this. I did it several years ago. I wanted to go again. This is good before starting a Bible study. I will start a study when I finish. I'm a week in and am in the Book of Leviticus. I have a little way to go.

Erasable pens/pencils if faded do the reverse to correct the ink. Once faded from heat put it in a cold area to bring the ink back. It works the same in reverse. Good luck!

My Bible pages are WAYYYY too thin to use anything but pencil/colored pencil, so eventually they'll need refreshing. 😭 It's the ESV study Bible journaling version and the content is stellar, but I really don't think it was designed by a Bible journaler because the page thickness was not well thought out. 😅 As for tabs, Avery has some tabs that I LOVE. They're like sticky notes, and they're super sturdy/repositional, but sticky enough that I've never lost one.

I have used colour pencils in my bible for years because they don’t bleed though the thin paper. My devotion books look like your bible. Just not as big. I agree with you. Please Put in a few blank pages at the end of each book or in the beginning. Add some at least. The dollar tree had these small boxes of coloured pencils and I put them in the front pocket of my Bible cover so I have them handy and they don’t take up a lot of room. I will try the crayons. Thanks for the tips and all the wonderful comments that have come in. Some fabulous idea’s.

About future plans: my plan when my Bible is filled is to hand it down to my daughter. I started this Bible when I was 17 or 18 (a decade ago) and have gone through a lot of struggles and development with that Bible. I would hope that my daughter can be challenged and encouraged by all the questions and inquiries that are in my Bible.
I do need to rebind it though. 😂

One bible I have I tabbed the top of the pages with the names of each book in the Bible and then on the sides I can add other tabs for other stuff like versus and stuff that I find interesting or I feel like I want to go back too.
P.S Could you do a video for beginners on what Bible version would be the easiest to understand and simple tips and tricks on how to study the Bible and what you think we should be looking for when studying the Bible. Because as a beginner myself, I get very overwhelmed with a lot of colors and the sticky notes and I feel like I have to do all of that for me to understand it. Also a beginner, friendly Bible commentary that you recommend if you could only pick one. Thank you so much for all of the wonderful videos that you share with us.

I LOVE colored pencils. I use the erasable colored pencils in my Bible and they work like a dream! They erase COMPLETELY. I love not having to worry at all about making a boo-boo that I can't fix (you're right, that space is precious!). Thanks for giving me permission to color my Bible, Faith!!!! Also, I just discovered Elmers SCENTED GLUE STICKS. These have been a game changer for my Bible Journalling, especially for tip ins! 10x better than a traditional glue stick. 10/10 highly recommend!
