Thanks, this was so lovely!! Enjoy your Soirée ❤
Thank you so much!💖
Another great video! Well thought out, and lots of wonderful ideas for this nice wearable knitted item!
Thank you! 😊
You have knocked “color combinations” out of the park. 🎉
Thank you!
Your soiree scarf is super cute. I really love the colors you chose!
Thank you so much!
Love this! Thanks for all of the ideas.
Thank you!
Love your modifications!
Thank you!
This is an amazing video! 🎉 thank you for sharing. I can see making this one for myself very soon! 😊
Thank you! Happy knitting!
Thanks for sharing your styling tips to go with your lovely fo! I spent 2 weeks touring Ireland in December (cold and rainy) wearing a shawl as a head scarf. My head is more rounded thsn oval, and scarves are more flattering and wear better.
So many ways to wear/style this little gem !! Thanks !! I also really need to add little pops of color to my projects. I kinda forget during the project, but when I watch your channel, I’m reminded again! Maybe I need to put those nifty little neon minis/scraps in a glass jar for inspiration (right in front of me, glaring at me)!
Awesome!❤
Thanks 🤗
Lovely scarf. Very versatile. ♥️👍
Thank you!
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
Thank you, very helpful 👍🏻
Stephanie, you have an incredible mind. The way you customize each piece is enjoyable to watch and I learn something every time. The scarf is beautiful and functional and I love the I cord edging w/its pop of color. I hope you have a wonderful trip.
Thank you!!! 💖💖💖
Great clip Stephanie. Enjoy your trip.🙋🏼♀️🇦🇺
After watching this I definitely want to make one. So versatile. I love your modifications.
Yay! Go for it!!
You taught me so much in this one video…..slip stitch edge includes two rows in a stitch….never thought about it!. Icord pops more when picked up on wrong side. This also was a revelation! You sold me on this pattern….every other row is a purl 😢 but I think it may be worth it. I really like the two toned idea.
What about just knitting the scarf in garter stitch (knit every row) instead of stockinette stitch (alternate knit and purl rows)? You might have to work more rows for each half in order to get the proper length if you change to garter stitch. So you might make two 4"x4" swatches in your chosen yarn to compare the rows-per-inch between garter and stockinette. That way you'll know if changing to garter stitch is worth it.
Stephanie, your Soirée Scarf is just beautiful. I am so happy that you came up with the same idea I did. I love your colors and the pretty pink applied I-cord edging. I have incorporated an i-cord edge on my green Linen Quill Soirée Scarf, but the applied one stands out more. So nice!
Your scarf is lovely Stephanie! What a great accessory for weather transitions. I’m sure is so soft and luxurious to wear.
All the imaginative styling ways are really inspiring…thank you ❤
Thank you ☺️!
Oh I want to make one!
Thanks Stephanie. I like the neutral color with small pops of color! It can go with everything.
Thank you! ☺️
TU for for sharing so many ways to wear ur knit. The colors u used are stunning.❤
I love having pieces that can be used in many different ways, this is a great resource. Also exciting that Purl Soho has a recycled cashmere!
I love the colorful border on the neutral scarf. That guava shade is so fun. Thanks for being so thorough in explaining about blocking first and how you avoided puckering - your notes are always so helpful!
I enjoyed your info about the scarf and ideas on packing for a trip.
Such pretty colours, and your mods are great! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!😊
Scarf is cute but my mind is blown how you guys pack for a four person family with just a backpack and carry on! 🤯 I need to know more about this method
Thanks! Each person has one carry-on and one back pack! Not just one carry-on plus backpack for all four of us 😅 . That would be…impossible 😂.
@@EdibleThoughtsMakes oh then that makes me feel better! I was feeling like who we really overpack then! We usually check one and each carry one item on
Great stephanie
This is just too grand! About 11 months ago when the Soirée Scarf was first introduced by Purl Soho, I decided to have it become a more practical version of the Half+Half Triangles Wrap, as far as my knitting life is concerned. So now about 75% of my oodles of Linen Quill skeins are going to end up as Soirée Scarves instead of half wraps.
There are plenty of similarities: I will use two colors like Stephanie has done, one for the increase half, another for the decrease half. The one I'm working on currently is Linen Quill Juniper Green with Fresh Pickle. Another one I'm excited about will be made using Quartz yarn by PS in Cardinal Red + Lavender Moon (or it might be called Lavender Opal). Can you tell how excited I am! And I only need one skein of Linen Quill per color, which means that I can make 3 Soirée Scarves from the Linen Quill used to make one H+HTW in the Bigger size. I will also be happy to share some of my extra Linen Quill with a knitting friend now. I live in a warm climate. Soirée Scarf is much more practical for me as a garment than the H+HTW. Still, I will make some half wraps to use as throws.
Whoohoo!
Stephanie, did I understand you to say that your Soirée Scarf size is midway between the two sizes in the pattern? If correct, that would mean that you knit the Increase half until there are 108 stitches on the needle, right? That's midway between 91 stitches and 125 stitches. Thanks.
I knit to 109sts - stays at an odd number.
@@EdibleThoughtsMakes Thank you. That makes sense. So I'll make note of 109 stitches.
Will you share the measurements of your scarf?
Post-wet block, pre-border: 62”wingspan x 16.5” deep
After adding border: 57” wingspan x 18” deep
The border seems to have cinched it in horizontally.
Thanks!
