I had this bad boy on vhs with the Disney robinhood as well as a 3 minute lancerlot song. It was like a package you buy in a bin at a supermarket. Absolute classic.
One thing for sure I am really interested in the tales of Robin Hood and his adventures and I really interested in his adventures because I grew up watching the 1938 movie the Adventures of Robin Hood.
There’s a myth that Jon Pertwee introduced The Legend of Robin Hood as the video we originally had and dvd that I got recently says Introduced by Jon Pertwee. This certainly isn’t the case but for some reason it says that on the front cover of the VHS video and dvd. Jon of course famous for 3rd Doctor in Doctor Who and Worzel Gummidge(the original Tv show) plus Worzel Gummidge Down Under in New Zealand not Australia where I’m from..Western Bulldogs logo says enough for that..
I owned the video back in 1990. Jon Pertwee definitely introduced this film. He basically said, "Y'know, whenever I see a bow and arrow, it reminds me of the story of Robin Hood."
This is not the real story. Parts of it are true but how far I remember from the book I read during my childhood that Robin succumbed to his injuries in the end🙄! So I want the true version !!
Mum bought me this and Ivanhoe on VHS from a car boot sale in the early 90s must of watched a hundred times. Serious nostalgia thanks for the upload.
I want the soundtrack so bad
wow thank you , used to watch this in the 80s
We also had Ivanhoe ,treasure island and can't remember the roman army one where a ship goes down , do you recall?
If you like this, you’ll love the kidnapped cartoon, same soundtrack and art design. I had both as a boy on vhs. Thanks for the upload

I used to watch the CBS classic tales but they were only on the Sundays that CBS did not have the NFL doubleheader.

It's a fable.. a legend.. It didn't really happen, and no author owns the "true" telling of events.
