Hi, around 19:30. Yes you have to rearrange the player order, but the player who won the top GOD will be the last in the next cycle NOT the first. Guide page 3. 5) Performing actions: "When the player is done with his actions, he places his offering marker on the last free space of the turn track."
Thank you for making this video and explaining everything so thoroughly and simply! I had purchased this game a few years ago for my daughter who was only 8 or 9 at the time because she loved Greek mythology. However, we quickly came to realize this was too complex for a child and even for me (I know this isn't meant to be a kids game, but just thought at the very least she'd like the figures and illustrations and we could save it for when she was older)! We played it our own way which was a mish-mash simplified manner not really the right way at all. She has taken it out again now that she's 11 and wants to play it, again we found so much information confusing and I was looking for a tutorial. This is great, I now have a much better idea of how to play it and watching the visuals really helps. I took 5 pages of notes lol! This is an absolutely gorgeous game and can't wait to play it properly now thanks to you!
I have been playing in this game with family for last 2 years but some questions about the rules appears from time to time. I was trying to understand them with attached rules to the game but they doesnot make the things clear in some questions. Finally my english became good enough to watch and understand english speeking video here 🙂I realized that we understand some of the basic rules wrong. Thank you so much for such great explanation!! Now i am ready to represent really true rules of Cyclades to my family xDD It would be fire
Thanks so much for your instructional video on this game. You've made how to play this game very clear and I am excited to play this with my friends. I feel like I'm coming to the game late, but I picked it up used for a reasonable price so that's a win in my books!
Thanks for the tutorial. I've been meaning to play this game for awhile and just picked it up. Now, thanks to your video - and a read of the rules - I'm ready to try it. Looks great.
How do you like the two expansions for the game? (I'm not counting the Kemet crossover). It seems a lot of people love Titans but haven't played Hades. You said it's one of your favorite games, so I'd be interested in your opinion.
I've never played any expansion. A clear misstep on my part. For me, the game never needed an expansion. Have fun with the game tomorrow! Let me know how it goes! And thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video! Only "How to play" I could find on Cyclades. I appreciate the very thorough and clear descriptions. If you spoke a little faster I bet you could knock quite a few minutes off your videos, which would probably increase your views as well. Thanks again, appreciate the time you put into it. Your game group is lucky to have someone who does this for them!
Brendan Michaud thanks for the comment and for watching! I shoot these videos off the top of my head with no script or plan. But I want to speak clearly and concisely. So my rate of speech probably does seem a bit slow. I'll try to pick up the pace, but I don't want to sacrifice clarity and I don't want to forget anything. In the meantime, you can watch my videos at 1.25x or 1.5x speed if you'd prefer😀
This is so great!!! Thank you so much, I really look forward to playing after your very useful and clear instructions. I actually like a slower narration, I'm sick of really fast super speedy narration 'how to play' videos.. they are so fast sometimes I cant get my head around a concept before I have try to remember another.. they're too fast and not very memorable.. it actually becomes a hindrance expect perhaps to the most seasoned gamers or to those who dont care about every nuance of the rules.. slower narratipns means that you can play the game correctly straight away without having to consult a rule book again over and over.. thank you again!!
You are very welcome. I try to make my videos more "conversational" than "Instructional". Not for everyone, but it's my preferred way to learn. Thanks for watching!
I was getting so confused trying to wrap my head around the bidding aspect of the game - thanks for the guide, can't wait to play! 😁 Also, where did you get the coins? Can't find where to get some!
Thanks for asking and for watching Robert! If the battle occurs on land, the retreating player must retreat all of his troops to an island he controls that is linked by fleets to where the battle is occurring. If no such island exists, he cannot retreat. If it's a sea battle, the retreating party must move all fleets to an adjacent empty sea space, or to a sea space he already controls. If no space exists, he cannot retreat. Whoever didn't retreat, gains control of that island or sea space, as the case may be. Hope that clears things up!
Hi, you must play instand the mythological creatures or i can keep the card of it and play it when ever i want it? Or it is different only for the 5 creatures that have figurine? great video btw.
Dimitris, If I understand your question correctly, you MUST play the mythological creatures as soon as you purchase them. The only creature that behaves a little different is the Kraken. The first time someone buys the Kraken, they place the miniature on board and destroy ships according to the rules for the Kraken. But then the Kraken STAYS on the board, effectively blocking that space until someone else buys the Kraken card. All other Creatures with a miniature are placed upon purchase, and then removed at the start of that player's next turn. Hope that helps! Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!
Thank you for the comment and for watching! I apologize for the sound and video quality of this video. It is one of my early attempts at UA-cam and my equipment at the time was very sub-par.
Your Absolutely right Davie. I have since purchased a microphone (instead of using the mic on the camera). Hopefully future videos are better. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
Well Joe, you absolutely could be right. There are very long discussions on many board game forums about this very subject (how to pronounce "Cyclades"). The best I can determine, there are several acceptable variants, and it depends on whether we're talking about the English or the Greek pronunciation. Hopefully, no matter how I pronounce it, I taught it well ;) Hope you enjoy the game! And Thanks for Watching!

Thank you for catching that!

Oh. Well, if I play them first, I'll let you know what I think of them. Ha ha.
Did you play them? I just got Cyclades and am playing him tomorrow, but am interested in Hades and Titans too.
I've never played any expansion. A clear misstep on my part. For me, the game never needed an expansion. Have fun with the game tomorrow! Let me know how it goes! And thanks for watching!
I have played the base game, but not the expansions yet. I enjoyed it. Hopefully, I can play again soon.

Thank you for the kind words! Enjoy the game, & thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. Good explanation, though I had to set the playback speed to 1.25 to go though it quicker. :)
I do the same thing! Enjoy the game and thanks for watching!

bob slobodanpopovitch I got them via Kickstarter. The are called "The best damn metal gaming coins ever". Thanks for watching!
Thanks to you man.
The sound is atrocious.

Get Ready for Game Night! You should still be mixing the audio levels before publishing…
I think it's pronounced sigh- clades. 🤔
