Pastor T! It's frankle from the twitch streams. Appreciate this video, as you know how much I love the NET Bible! The 2nd Edition does have the notes incorporated with the translation in logos- but there is no separate copy in logos like the 1st edition has. It's simply tagged footnotes. While they're good, I wish they would provide a separate resource for the notes. You can do a power lookup- but it defeats the purpose of having it alongside other linked resources.
If you open power lookup tool in tools and link Net 2nd edition with power lookup(I.e apply linkset A for both), the notes will be displayed side by side on different panels.
Do the NET study notes sync with other translations like the NASB 95 or ESV bibles within Logos? I have the free edition and would like to add the NASB 95 Bible and the NET 1st edition notes.
I have the second Edition. of The Net Bible. I like it and some very interesting. I got it as a hard Copy. So if I do not have power I can do some reading. I use about 20 study Bibles that I jump from one to the other in Hard copy. I Have the First edition in Logos. Nice having both to look at them. But a good review for the use. And the reason to have both versions to look at. I am not a Greek or Hebrew reader. But with logos I can dig deeper.
Thanks for sharing, David! It certainly is an awesome resource that is great for study. I’m glad you have the opportunity to reference so many good works. 👍
The notes are implemented differently in it. They are hyperlinked in the translation text itself rather than as a standalone resource. If you don’t mind the different functionality, then yea go for the 2nd edition.

I'm not sure I understand why you think the 2nd Edition is lacking in some way. I have only ever owned and used the 2nd Edition within Logos and every single thing you demonstrated in the video is in my edition. The only difference I can see is that the 1st Edition notes are in a separate window and the 2nd Edition notes are dynamic footnotes within the text.
@@PastorTanner Great program. If you drop audio file and video file onto the timeline you should be able to select both, right click and find a menu option Auto align clips -- then use by waveform. Fingers crossed :)

Got it! Thanks for that clarification for the rest of us! Appreciate all of your love and support, Frankle!! ❤️

@@jimmyfuentes3728 This is a great tip and a powerful way to read the notes alongside the bible text!
I wish every translation committee provided notes like the the NET
That would be amazing, Hashim!

What would you consider a “very good study bible” to be?
My study bible tier list video has these. ESV, CSB, Faithlife are all really good.
@@PastorTanner thank you
I haven't used it in logos, but the NET has been my go to translation specifically for the notes
Awesome - it’s a great choice. 👍
They have the 2nd edition notes as well.
That’s good to know! Thank you.
In Logos website I found this: The NET Bible: Full Notes Edition (2nd ed.)
Is this better than the first edition?

You are a tremendous asset to the body of Christ
Thank you for your encouragement, jamal!

Yes, Paul! This was my mistake. Because they are accessed differently, I messed up in finding them.
Logos: get first edition. Print: get second edition. Wish the second edition was better in Logos!
Right! It sounds like 2nd ed has the notes, but they are footnotes! Not quite as valuable!
your videos are always out of sync
I’m sorry, Cliff. We have tried to work on it, but getting the audio and video frame perfect has proven very difficult. We’ll keep trying.
@@PastorTanner what video editor do you use? I may be able to point in the direction to help align it
Davinci resolve
