Just to reinforce the idea. Star ratings are not absolute, they are contextual and are related to your squad quality. Theoretically, if you buy a great player, a few players might have their star ratings decrease because the overall quality of the squad improved. Basically a 5 star is a an excellent player in that squad or for that squad.
A couple more things to note about adaptability: - You will only be able to the the adaptability pro/con icon if they are not on your team - If a player knows the language of the country you are loaning them out to, they will have an infinitely easier time adapting.
Something that most people didn't use is "personalised" under player instruction, i always use that like if lets say i have 2 RB, one is attacking minded, more suited to my tactic lets say WB(A), and another one is more defensive minded, in game i can just put him in already personalized as FB (S) with different player instruction because of what he can and cant do compare to the attacking one. For example Trent vs Gomez at Liverpool, you cant ask them to do the same thing, so i personalised them, learn their pros and cons and change the tactic according to these player changes made, because i sometimes see streamers just change/subs their players expecting same result but it gone horribly wrong and they dont understand why, its funny to watch from viewer standpoint but frustrating because i knew these stuff are easy to avoid 😂
My criticism with FM is that it's become too easy over the past 5-10 years. Have only played 3 seasons with Brentford (on a network game with my friend who is Palace). Season 1: - Won the Prem and Fa Cup Season 2: 5th in Prem, league cup winners, fa cup runners up. Season 3: Won the Prem, Won Fa Cup, Champions League Runners Up We're having a break for a while now, but we were hoping to be slugging it out in mid table in first couple of seasons! Because the game is easier than it used to be, you don't need to play it in the detail the game offers and arguably get little reward for putting in more work.
@@e_a136 Erling scores more goals than games. Bagged over 50 in all comps last season and City finished 5th. No downloaded tactic. I did sacrifice a goat to an fm demon though, so that may have helped.
@@e_a136I'm playing the winter update and won the prem with Spurs in the first season although I got lucky with a big sale to Saudi so could use installments to buy a few new players. I played a diamond or 4-3-3 depending on players available. Not sure I could do it with a team like Brentford it's just the Spurs team is pretty decent in defense and the Central midfield is okay for first season
One additional caveat in contract negotiations, is that going through the agent first and agreeing to a lower wage, means they will no longer go down from that wage at all afterwards, so it might be better to directly enter into negotiations and getting a bigger discount than first asking agent. Also star rating can still help you to see which areas can be a problem for players complaining not enough depth in squad (think they want 2.5 stars at least in all positions)
I've never gone off star ratings, and I've been playing football manager since the days it was called championship manager. Otherwise you will always over look young players or players for a system you play. So going by stars is always dumb.
Please make a video about mentoring, i mentor carlos baleba with higher determination leader to mentor him, but apparently Baleba's determination drop to 15 due to his mentoring
I believe they do, it’s why its really important to develop or UNDEVELOD traits early if you don’t want young players to have them. Mentoring is really good for passing traits along, just incase you didn’t know :-)
Question for you, does star rating also compare to other teams players? Like if I buy a 4 star player is he 4 star in the Championship league when comparing to other teams that have 4 star players or is my 4 star potentially only 3 star because the other teams 4 star is way better player. I usually look at stars then attributes and see which skill set I'd be needing for a specific role, not sure if that's best strategy.
I don't even play, but a) he says in the video star ratings compare in squad and league and b) I would think so because othwerwise your best player's potential ability would have to be z full five stars, which it isn't in his Forest example.
Ive heard when loaning players with low adaptability, you should look at their spoken language and ensure you are sending them out to a country that speaks their language. For example, if you sign a player from Brazil into a team in England. The highest league you should send them to is the the highest division in Portugal. Other option is to stick them on a language course and loan them in the UK and they should be a basic speaker wkthin a few months which will help.
Hi Jacke. If is possible check a wonderkid Franco gonzalez (M/AM) from penarol. I try him in braga and its a super beast, but never heard anyone talk about it.
This vidoe is stuff ive learnt over thenlast 26 year of playing and understanding each version of CM or FM. Theses are basics, scout your players and look at rhe oros and cons of players are bascis even down to asking the agents i always ask them and then say its unrealistic, being a spurs fan i have the inner Levy in me, i even dont give any of my players any bonus payments. Im not gonna pay a pmayer 100k a week with appereanc fees or goal scoring .
It's easy to manage that I always remove and exclude them, they might want like 10k more in wages sometimes but it save paying out everytime the score assists or keep a clean sheet
The automatic subtitles for Portuguese appeared different in this video, it is much better than normal, did you use a different resource or is it something new on the UA-cam platform? The subtitles are appearing completely the same in films, previously they appeared word for word making it difficult to read and understand.
Go to Downloads on the main game menu, then purchase. It will only work in new saves AFTER it is purchased. Then click on wherever you see a little pencil on each screen to edit players, club details etc
Yo I’m new to this game and only played American soccer until 9th grade before fully focusing on American football 🏈. Even I have noticed this in the 40 hours of gameplay I have
Hey, Great work on the videos keep it up. Just a note on your lighting and the moving/changing lights - It is awful for people with certain types of colour blindness, my son watches or used to watch quite a few but I noticed he's turned some of yours (and other creators) off lately. When I asked him about it he said he can't watch them when things keep essentially going invisible/really hard to distinguish between thing such as objects or just out right look like a psychedelic trip. For example in this video you have a Vitesse shirt hanging up, when the colour of the lights going over it change parts of the shirt, the wall, object on your shelf and the BvB thing all look the same. There is also moments of these strobing between colours as it moving/changing. With another colour the PSG shirt again parts of it and the wall look identical to him and become indistinguishable. I don't mean in any way to diminish what you're doing as you're doing really good work on here and like I said it isn't just yourself, it seems to be something on the rise.

Julian Duranville is a prime example of star rating not having great meaning....... He's only a 3 star but plays like a 5 star every match

Its impossible to won a prem at 1st season, City is unbeatable and Erling is just a machine. You probably use downloaded tactic or cheat somehow else

Trims looking good bro
Bang on Jake thank u. Been playing for ages.Never new about extra atts. Thank you
Would more game time help an inconsistent player become more consistent?
Question: Does player traits override individual tactic instructions or player roles ?

Great player great winger even better CWB / Mezzala
did not know about the adaptability but knew everything else.
Is any truly big or important difference with Fm23?
Started as wrexham, lost every single game, deleted in less than a day. Scripted as hell, fuck this game

how do u do that, the players always want these bonus payments

Jake, any tips on playing against a 4222 formation? Barcelona and Leizbeg are so hard to play against in my save
They're so overpowered, beat them before but it's so hard to do.
Scored 125 goals in prem league with this formation 4-2-2-2 (2cm, 2 wingers and 2 forward) im winning home matches with 7 goals
Any special instructions for the different positions to have that formation work best?
The automatic subtitles for Portuguese appeared different in this video, it is much better than normal, did you use a different resource or is it something new on the UA-cam platform?
The subtitles are appearing completely the same in films, previously they appeared word for word making it difficult to read and understand.
Much more practical have 0 instead of 5 and 5 instead of 10 when 0-5 almost never been used in rating in Football Manager 😊 then push away 6 to 10
- How do we activate the in-game editor.?
Go to Downloads on the main game menu, then purchase. It will only work in new saves AFTER it is purchased. Then click on wherever you see a little pencil on each screen to edit players, club details etc
The first thig you did wrong was play has Nottingham Forest LOL
Your haircut reminds me of Jim Carrys in dumb dumber 😂😂. But its still a helpfull video mate ☺☺
4-3-3 Meta formation is bug. Just play 433 simple and you will win any league with any team. They ruin game with this unbalanced formation.
No tactics?
@@Owjsbso any tactic. just win enough games to improve your team atmosphere and that's it

Need some help

Use the Polygon, and only the polygon.
oh yeah, and if they hate big games, don't start them in big games.
As soon as i figure the game out then i see this game 🤣🤣
It is a multiplayer game, it’s the only way I play it
Yeah you can play online with pals or join an online save
