This. Seeing your mates comment to the press calling you a “nincompoop dick muncher” in direct response to you making a totally unnecessary 150 million bid for the one decent player they have, only to immediately pull out of the negotiations after said player stages a protest demanding a transfer out to their manager (your mate). Leading to a horrendous team/managerial fall out, is prime-time FM. If only it was the same irl.
My mostly unknown tip is the screen flow option in preferences. You can follow results in any competition you want. So for example, I get world cup & euro fixtures to show up when they happen. No need to look for the tournament. Just hit that space bar and they show up automatically as part of the screen flow before progressing the time.
Cheers Zealand! I knew most of them, but the ability to preview set piece players and move them up and down the aerial threat, creator, etc hierarchy is new to me.. love it, thanks
I find saving team selections really useful, especially in pre season and you’re not playing the games. It makes it so easy to rotate and give everyone game time
Under the No 9, you can still click on "Edit" and tell the player to switch position during the game with a certain player on the field. For example the wings. It's nice. I don't know if confuses the defenders or not, but it is quite realistic.
For set pieces, you can also adjust also adjust the order of positions (Mark near post, mark far post etc) and it will assign that position to the appropriately ranked player. Example - I use Datahub to see where the opposition likes to play set pieces to, and it is usually near or far post. I just choose near/far post as my top two position ranks and switch those as it will automatically assign these positions to your top aerial defender. 👍 Super easy
lol #10 is the only one I regularly use in my save (admittedly some don't count since I have FM20). I have a first XI and 2nd XI saved which fully rotates the players
@@bananarama3624 me too bro, keeps the team fully rested all the time, you can really see the difference when Feb/March comes and all the favorite teams have their teams full of injuries. the only downside is players regularly complaint bout game time even tho they're all playing the same time.
Didn't know about the press conferences, now I do. Still won't use it and will forget very soon. I'm pretty obsessed with the data hub and squad planner though, relentlessly looking at those.
I never used to do press conferences. Decided to try doing them and within a month my form went through the roof and players were always happy. Not sure if me doing them is the reason, but it sure makes you wonder...
Did you know that you can add greyed-out subs who will not be available to the match day squad, but will travel with the team? This helps to avoid important players, who you want to rest, getting uppity about being left out. Or other player being disappointed/concerned that [insert superstar] has not been selected. It's very handy for managing a larger squad with wobbly dynamics, or for allowing new signings to adjust to your team tactics before blooding them on the field.
i use number 10 pretty often, saved squads, rotate teams and slighty adjust them if i dont like the selection or i want a specific player to be on a bench, saves some time to switch 1-2 players then select everyone of them
One thing I've been using is a view on the squad screen that is games missed, soooo good for rotation to actually see that they have missed the last 3 games
I just found out that if you sell a player with a future sale percentage, in the future if you check your clauses managing page, if there's a money icon (euro, dolar, etc) it means your board has renegociated the clause and, if you want (it's optional), you can cash in the value negociated instead of waiting for the player to be sold (wich could not even happen if he is good and was sold to a top club, for example). Of course, it may be less money than you could win with the player sale. But it's a good way to make extra cash if you're in need or you just have a feeling the player won't be sold.
A small tactical change I like to make which is super annoying and easy to forget it when you're in match and you make specific player instructions and i use it for wingers the instruction is swap player with whoever you want to swap him with so if you have wingers and they can play both sides and your winger is being specifically marked by the rb and you make them swap throughout the game it can lead players out of position should be in the normal tactics session before a game but only is in match tactics
Let's see: Knew three of these. Also knew personalized instructions exist, but not that they could be accessed that way (and it's easier that way). Didn't know the schedule thing, or loans in dev center (which I'll be using from now). Didn't know about staff advice or the experience matrix per position either, but I probably won't use them either. I learned some good things, so you get a like.
To balance the fatigue of playing 83 matches per week, I regularly switch between my "A" & "B" teams to start, making full use of my subs so that important players still get some match time. I think I really need to set up some Quick Pick templates to save myself from the tedious job of swapping every player every second game.
Instead of waiting for that icon to pop up, if you actually click on Devolopment and then go down to advice, there will be advice there that may not neccesarily pop up on the icon on the top right, for example my columbian wonderkid striker Andres Vargas did not have the icon in the top right, however when I clicked on him it stated that he could with additional strength training, and also said that he could do with more game time to reach his potential.
I still dont understand why we dont see development for first team players in the dev hub. They might as well include that or am i missing something? Abolity to see attributes changes as a ateam instead of manually opening players development and attribute change?
Holy shit balls, cover me in honning and let me skinny dip in milk. I totally overlooked quickpick. So much time saved as I run a relatively small A squad, with loads of prospects that can be used.
I have to reassign the specific scout and analysis I want to use for next opposition report every time I load the current save. Is this a feature or a bug?
quick pick still sucks, one of the most satisfying things while playing fm is to drag players around into or out of starting XI, thats how you feel involved and form attachment to your team, so quick pick will always suck
I last played this game in FM2020, now in FM24, 4 years on, there's nothing new that I probably didn't know. 9/10 have been there, only the set piece coach is new and pointless anyway, the other features is just layout re-arranged
Press con is pure bullshit in FM. 1) ask about some manager in x club that you dont give shit about. 2) ask about result of other team that have no relation/impact to your club. 3) ask about weather today 4) ask what you ate last night 5) fuck
Jokes on everyone, I take all my press conferences with extreme interest. Assistant manager? never. Always by me. It's my greatest source for role playing in fm, in which i insult, mock, and exert my dominance in every possible question while disrespecting and attacking my player/team's performance at all times. I've checked my press conference history whenever I feel like I miss clicked an answer. I also regularly check ai managers' conference answers incase them reacting to my beaf fails to make headlines to my inbox for whatever reason.
What are the odds that I also have a regen named Keren Tal, which also plays Striker and is also half Israeli half English, FM regen what the actual f....?
I don't understand! Have my eyes been on vacation this whole time or are my eyes in cahoots with my brain to not communicate the things i am seeing to my conscious mind? Something's not right, i demand answers!
i ll take my high 5....now do i use any of these.........well most no....especially the data hub, and press conference... but i knew about these...especially in a one team save.....i tend to sign players that fit my tactic.....in a journeyman...ok you need to review a bit more...good video🙌
Dear Zealand, I'm a big fan here. Do you have any interest in becoming a football manager for a real team? (I'm not gonna say "in real life", because damn ain't FM a real thing? it frckng is!)
The use case for viewing press conference is roasting your mates in a network game and telling them to go look at your recent press conference answers
This.
Seeing your mates comment to the press calling you a “nincompoop dick muncher” in direct response to you making a totally unnecessary 150 million bid for the one decent player they have, only to immediately pull out of the negotiations after said player stages a protest demanding a transfer out to their manager (your mate). Luis Suarez being addicted to Football Manager has just made my day.
He has to do something while eating
@@a-turkey-in-abush7787 At least he stopped eating while playing football.

Gawd he played a fantastic season for my favorite team Grêmio and now I admire him more after this info

You can also uncheck a load so it slightly helps speed up progress time too.
I thought I was going to know all of them, but you hit me with number 10. Well played.

Wow it’s this type of advice what I’m looking for by clicking on this video thx budy
Fair enough, I actually learnt quite a few things today. Did not expect to not know so many things!
Thanks, Z!

Tu viens de m’apprendre qqch. J’avais déjà remarqué qu’on pouvait mettre des remplaçants en « grisé » mais je ne savais pas à quoi ça servait merci
great! how do i do it?
Bold of you to assume I don’t know everything in the game……and I’m still gonna watch .
OK you got me right at the end with the quick pick settings
i use number 10 pretty often, saved squads, rotate teams and slighty adjust them if i dont like the selection or i want a specific player to be on a bench, saves some time to switch 1-2 players then select everyone of them
My word, thank you so much for the quick pick settings. I'm going to play around with it, it might save me so much time.
god i wish it was nicer to use but I'll definitely start saving team selections! Thanks Z
One thing I've been using is a view on the squad screen that is games missed, soooo good for rotation to actually see that they have missed the last 3 games

I new 6 but barely use none... lol thanks for the raid yesterday Zealand
This video made me feel kinda smart for already knowing that some of these things existed before watching it
Even the 'pointless' features, I'm sure we've all needed them at one point
For #4. You could just to squad tab and find the bubble on the top right for staff advice. That way you get all the players.
