    Nice very nice, you should take this up as a career, only joking my friend. You know a bloke is good at his job when he makes it look so easy. I used to use a Hawk and Plastering floating/Trowel. After a major heart attack, both hip's and shoulders replaced I can't do it now. The kitchen ceiling came down just after Christmas and all the mates who are plasterers have either moved on or not in the plasterers gang anymore! Friggin typical eh lol.

    Contractor here. I believe this "FiberFuse" tape is the third best invention after food and sex - it doesn't allow air bubbles to form, it's much stronger than paper and unlike paper it doesn't have sharp edges so it blends much better, and it's under $5 in big boxes. The only two things about it: you need gloves and mask if you don't want itchy palms and fibers in your mouth, and also - it doesn't fold well, so occasionally (for some corners for example) I still prefer to use paper. Great job, clean and fast.

    Hi great video...I have a question. I move into my new home next Tuesday 6/30 and it has a unfinished garage, so I'm going to prime, texture, and then paint. However the ceilings are 9' ft tall can I spray the texture from the ground? Do I need to turn up air pressure, or do I need to stand on a ladder and continously move it? Also, I'm doing knockdown texture on walls and ceiling and bought bags of Blue Line II is this the right stuff or should I get something else?

    I"m watching this to see how the ceiling studs look because I am installing a new dining room light fixture and I cannot find the studs!...I removed the old fixture and that leaves about a four or five inch whole in the drywall....sticking a 10" long screwdriver up in there in all directions I cannot contact or feel a stud anywhere!...so frustrating! I tried to use magnets but the drywall is 3/4" thick and that did not work and my cheap stud finder is worthless.....the NEW fixture is a stained wooden box 6 inches wide by about 3 feet long and four or five inches deep with light bulbs hanging down under the box a bit.....

    I'm a drywaller, hang and finish. I have to double hang 5/8 past the ceiling in apartment units. Sound proof or fire wall is what they want. I'm trying to find a faster way of hanging that. Past the 8 foot ceiling on the side walls that divide the units. Not outside walls just the units side by side. I just don't want to go up and down all week.

    A small (not really that important) critique for future videos is to take the sound off the original clips (or lower the volume) so the sound of the knife hitting your bucket doesn't distract from the commentary.
    Cheers mate!

    Can apply Skim coating Overtop of panels 1/4 inch thick plywood you think will stick to it

    • @PaulPeck
      @PaulPeck  4 роки тому +1

      I’ve done it before...😇 For best adhesion, use all purpose joint compound because it has the most glue in it. Also, the joint compound will most likely yellow once it’s dry because of the tannins in the plywood. Prime with an oil base stain blocking primer and top coat with your favorite paint.👍🏻 -Paul

    Great video as usual. I like to use FibaFuse also for repairs. As you unroll the roll of tape, does the fiberglass not get in your fingers? This is my only complaint about FibaFuse. I just try to remember to wear a glove on my left hand that I use to unroll.
