Thanks so much for the video. It gave me so much confidence to replace the left axle. No more clunking noise when going over bumps and turning into driveways. This is 2005 Mazda 6I.

This video has help me out on my 2010 Ford Fusion(cousin model of the Mazda 6).THX. One thing tho, those equipped with manual transmissions, you want to drain or catch the gear oil, I would say 1.5 to 2 qts had poured out the output shaft when I removed old axle.

Very informative video as usual! Personally I am one of those clean freaks! LOL Just a suggestion to go 110%, focus on cleanliness a little deeper, such as ensuring splines, for example, love to be greasy. Its great to spray them like you do, but I find myself spraying, using a bristled brush, then hit the splines with a rag and apply a tad of bearing grease on both splines, but that's just me!! Keep up those informative videos!! :)
hello, great video. I was wondering if you knew if cv axles could be the cause of my car shaking at high speeds? I have out new tires, wheel alignment and tire balance and rotate.
hey guys BE AWARE! I just changed the transmission axel seal because I had a leak after changing the clutch. changed the seal, and the seal was still there. turns out there are TWO CLICKS when you push in the axle. if you only do the first, the axle is in, but not far enough that the seal mates with the sealing surface on the axle. it's easy to push in by hand, if you are in this situation, without dismantling anything.
Thank you. May I ask: that tip w/TWO CLICKS, is it for every passenger car or just for certain models, like this one shown in the film? I need to replace CV Axles on 2001 Saturn SL2 (automatic).
I guarantee the slight video edit at 2:45 was because she went crazy and started beating the sh*t outta that cotter pin, kicking and screaming and cussing it! Not that i personally would do that, just a hunch.
I noticed some differential oil leaked out when you removed the axle. Is the differential on an automatic car sharing the transmission fluid and you top it up via the transmission dip stick, or is the differential separate and you top it up somewhere else?
Excellent videos.... Any way you could maybe do an R&R of the rack and pinion on the Mazda 6.... I think I may need to eventually replace mine... I think the seals are leaking...
Sue, I love your videos and they are very informative. However, when you tightened the lower control arm nut at the wishbone, the hub must be raised to avoid tearing the bushing. I own this model and tighten the nut when the wheel is on & the vehicle on the ground. Conversely, you can put a jack under the brake disc & raise it the correct height. Am I incorrect?
+Stuart Bear Thanks for checking us out. You can put a jack under the control arm of the vehicle to raise it to the correct height, be sure to consult a local mechanic if you are unsure of where to place the jack. 1aauto.com

+Dante Hawthorne At this moment, the closest how-to video we have to your request is for this vehicle, which is very similar to the one you have. The steps may not be 100% the same, but should contain an adequate amount of information necessary for accomplishing this task!
+The Secret of Self It will generally be the same, but it would be best to try to find a video or some info online for your specific vehicle. Thanks! 1AAuto.com

I'm pulling the motor and trans out of my 07 mazdaspeed6, very helpful to know how to get the CV shafts out!
hello, great video. I was wondering if you knew if cv axles could be the cause of my car shaking at high speeds? I have out new tires, wheel alignment and tire balance and rotate.
Very very curious is this is a customer's or employee's vehicle. Either way, love the videos.

REALLY appreciate it!! Others dismantle way to much😉
Sue, i have a 2015 cx-5. Looks like in my car there's less suspension parts to move. Is it generally the same process?
Just need to know what fluid came out when i pulled driver side axle out. More came out when i started vehicle with axle out. 2020 cx5 awd
Own a mazdaspeed 3 your videos are very helpful lol
I guarantee the slight video edit at 2:45 was because she went crazy and started beating the sh*t outta that cotter pin, kicking and screaming and cussing it! Not that i personally would do that, just a hunch.
Probably because she was using snips as plyers. Rookie mistake.
Will this be the same for a Mazda bongo? Can’t find much info for this on a bongo. Thanks

I have a question, when you disconnect the tie rod, does the car misalign or nothing happen? passager side

+Randy Huerta We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Would it be wise to replace the output seal at the same time?
I didn’t replace my rubber CV seal & I’m regretting it.
Does the part that connects the tranny/Wheel axle need grease, i know the other side mazda have this intermediate shaft???
Would this replacement be similar to doing it on an '07 Mazda 3?
So I had a tear cv axle so I replaced it but I still hear a pop noise on the cv axle
I replaced why is that ?
Can u put auto drive shaft in manual atenza for a 05 mazda atenza wagon fwd

SUE IS MY FAVORITE! 🤘💀🤘
So an alignment is not necessary after replacement?
The alignment is necessary. If you remove the Steering Knuckle you do need an alignment.

Got that nice lift but no air tools?
+jessie lafferty Most people don't own air tools so we try to demonstrate with tools a common person would have available. Thanks for watching.
How much dollars is a work like this worth? With all the pieces included.. $400,500,600?
I need to do this to my 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Hope it's similar.
