It was nearly the end of the war and Dooku was way too consumed by the dark side and serving his master, I bet he didn't care about Qui-Gon anymore like a few decades ago and just wanted to secure his master's plans, exhausted by his failures so far and hatred of the jedi.

I think that would have been a turn for the worst for the soon to be empire. That would have been so dope. And then maul and his death watch squad go to coruscant and spill the news about palpatine and they have a 3 way battle. Palpatine vs Jedi vs Darth Maul/Savage and death watch.

Windu's Vaapad feeds off of dark emotions and basically makes him hard counter any but the most experienced/God tier Sith in a duel. He got amped up enough hold his own temporarily against Sidious in RotS after Sidious had just speed blitzed Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, and Saesee Tiin, all highly skilled Jedi Masters, but anyone who's read a lick of EU knows how much of a beast Sidious is. Maul would put up a decent fight and it'd be fun to watch, but I'd say Windu still takes it 9/10.

Count Dooku is also not the smartest. He should have joined Maul and Talzin together to defeat Sidious. What was Dooku's plan all along? He wanted to train Asajj or even Savage to rule the galaxy without Sidious. He should have done it that way. BTW I wish that Mother Talzin was still alive. She was an interesting character!
I wish Windu and Obi Wan would have questioned how quickly the Chancellor would have knew that Dooku and Maul were now allies. How is it that he knew from so far away. Its not like that he simply called during the battle to Commander Cody or any other clone trooper. He would have been caught then and there.
I like the way Rebels did it more. It's definitely more in character for Maul to hunt down Obi Wan, and since Obi Wan was now an experienced old master, Maul never stood a chance.

Going in to defeat the republic and Sidious. And if they used a trap to bring Sidious to dathormire, they could have easily killed him with the help of mother talzin

Maul had control of a powerful criminal underworld but Palpatine still controls the Republic.
It's not very often that Windu gets nocked out. But what Maul should have done was get Dooku to tell the droid army to go after Palpatine.
