S55 sounded raspy and deep. B48 sounded cleaner with less modulation in tonality. Personally, I like more rasp and "tinny" sound to in-line 6 engines, so the M4 is for me
I always thought that BMW's inline sixes with the twin scroll sounded better than the S engines. Out of the S55, S58, N55 and the B58 I think the N55 was actually the best sounding motor
@@zhoaibraja2992uh..yes you did. When you say something “is” anything you’re stating something absolute. An opinion would sound like “I personally think the n54 sounds better”.
This video doesn't do it justice probably cuz it's so loud and inside but IRL the b58 just sounds so, so, so much better. It's deep, warm but also sporty and aggressive. The m4, i hate to say it, is just noise
Yep I daily drive a B58, looked at the M4 and it's a great car and handles well but, the noise just doesn't do it for me. It's one of those that sounds far better in real life than on a video and especially when driving compared to just revving.
@@a20axf completely agree. Even with the stock exhaust they sound great. Don´t get me wrong, the m4 is lovely and ´the better car´ in many ways but sound wise it can´t compete. Atleast in my opinion that is...
@@vyvynylification yeah definitely! I’ve got a sports cat and stage2+ on my manual M140i. Other than from a handling or interior space perspective the M4 just doesn’t justify the extra cost for me. Mine certainly keeps me on my toes 😂 once the Bilstein B12 suspension and power flex bushes are on it’ll make a big difference for handling too. Currently doing research about an exhaust and stage 1 for it, which is where it stops for me. A good looking 440i with some extra noise and punch but still relatively soft for daily use :)
I have the msport exhaust and with my BM3 tune I can adjust my burbbles. Max at 10 gives you the aggressive pops (heard not good for the car).. have mine on 6 which give you more of a loud growl burbbles...no popping...like it better that way....

Weird as fook
The worst, anyone who knows what that badge is will laugh at you and anyone who doesn’t won’t give a shit

No.

B58 not b48, it’s a straight 6 as well

M4 is supposed to look like that
It is different for sure. It is like fiber reinforced plastic, whereas the trunk on the 440i is steel.

M-performance
