    DONT USE CHINESE MADE HOSE CLAMPS!!! They’re crap. I bought 4 when I only needed one. All 4 broke. Had to go to a neighbor who is a mechanic and he gave me an American made clamp. I stopped to help a truck driver, broken down on the side of a highway. His fuel hose clamp broke. Yep, made in china. I had spare clamps and was able to get him going.

    Get new bolts as you remove them on your car, those original bolts are like bitches they are not loyal, my bottom water pump broke inside the block, welding, screw exactor kit couldn't get it out, had to drill it out, it's in bolted down solid now, i prayed/praying to Jesus, Odin, Zeus, Buddha and Mohamed that my water pump never goes bad , lol 😂

    Thanks for the show. I might pull my heater hose nipple before pulling the pump though.

    Bro, I love what you are doing and thank you for the info.. but.. If that bracket fails, a couple zip ties are definitely not going to hold anything longer than 0.01 seconds. Working on these fords does strange things to our brains, boys.

    sketchy would have been not cleaning the threads. crap in threads lead to thread and seal failure. always wire wheel, and paint where appropriate, any old crap you reinstall

    Loving the use of a tripod. And a couple inches of hose is never enough

    what do i do if my new pump and old pulley now rub on the crank pulley?
    Was i supposed to prop up the waterpulley when installing by inserting soemthing between the pulleys to take up any slack in mounting holes so it didnt sag into crank pulley?
    to fix do i just loosen it do this now OR was new pump made poorly?
    Also how tight is too tight for the belts?
    i just got thios truck week ago and immediately replaced the alt belt but maybe i over tightented them cuz a week later my water
    pump bearing goes?

      Sounds like an issue with the new water pump. Make shure u dont have ur water pump pulley on backwards.,. Let me know. Also the belt should be pretty tight.

    Why teflon tape and washer on the last bolt?

    • @Wrenchlife604
      @Wrenchlife604  3 роки тому +2

      Teflon tape because it goes into the coolant. Without teflon gape or thread sealer. You risk coolant pushing out through the bolt threads

      I got the part number off rockauto. I believe a company called 4 seasons makes it. I called my local autoparts store with the part number and they had it in stock
